Wet & Forget Moss & Mould Remover

This product went from about $36.95 up to $99 in 2 short years. Talk about rampant inflation. It also barely works and is ridiculously expensive for that price. I did some research and found out you can buy a pool algae cleaner 2L for $20 that is 50% stronger of the exact same active ingredient... won't get ripped off again. wet and forget does not work. I tried it on our artificial grass tennis court for two years running, absolutely no change at all. followed the instructions to a T even 'over dosed' at great expense did absolutely nothing. would never recommend this product. Show details

It does work as stated, but far far too expensive, $100 4ltrs, , (yes you do mix at 5:1 ) but still in this era of cost of living problems, overpriced. Used it once, but can never afford it again. I look at the negative reviews and see that these people want a quick fix with this product. This is a long term answer to moss and mould. Not only has it removed the mould from our perspex roof it has also worked amazingly well on our sandstone wall. It has been about 10 months and counting.

TWENTY DOLLARS A LITRE NOT WORTH IT – 50/50 Mix Works Best.. I have purchased mixed as per instructions and sprayed my first coat in June then left it as I went away until November and found little to no improvement only on the lightly affected areas was improvement. WET AND FORGET DOSENT WORK !! – Used to wash my home Wet and forget doesn't work paid $35.00 waist of $$$$$$$$$$$ . Then paid $16.95 for a bottle of 30 sec. outdoor cleaner and its GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Going to pick up a gallon OF 30 SEC. OUTDOOR CLEANER in the A.M. Waste of time and money – Applied Wet & Forget, household bleach & pool chlorine as test patches 9 months ago to mildew on sandstone wall. Pool chlorine worked best, then cheapo bleach. Wet & Forget zero impact. Never again.

Beware if you have animals – Wet and forget is causing dogs and cats to suffer severe damage to their mucus membranes if they walk across the wet product and then lick their paws. Our local regional vets have circulated a warning to all pet owners. Show details

Wet & Forget RAPID does not work. Maybe in 12 months – I bought the “Rapid” moss and mold remover. Applied it on 28 October 2020, and I took pictures. Waited for one and a half months took pictures again and re-applied it. In January 2021 I had not seen any moss and mold removed. So I took it back to Wet and Forget in Rosedale. That’s almost a year! She would not give me my money back.

The front of the bottle has the word RAPID in huge letters implying rapid action but not until you read the very tiny print at the back of the bottle where it states 6-12 months do you realize you’ve been taken for a ride.

I washed my deck with a pressure washer and it cleaned it immediately.

I think I paid $70 dollars or more for this product, it was a waste of money.

Love Wet and Forget – Love Wet and Forget been using it for years , works well if you following the instructions,the only complaint i would have would be the price. I even use it on the foot path in front of my house ..Awesome product

Don’t waste your money on this rubbish just use a pressure washer instead of spraying some dodgy pink soap solution which does absolutely nothing.

I’m heading up the roof tomorrow with a pressure washer to do the job this product has completely failed to do.

I’ve written to the ACCC to get these people to label their product with honesty. 12 months for it to work simply fails any test of reasonableness.

a complete waste of $100 for the 5 litre purchase – The effect after 2 applications was negligible. The TV personalities used praising its' "benefits" have never used it & certainly never paid for it. exceptional product – Didn't think this product would work but after 6 months with only one application terra cotta tiled roof is rid of all lichen. Takes it's time to work but works

Wet qnd forget was a Waste of time on concrete front verandah – Used this product on outer 1/3 of concrete front verandah. Yes it turned algae orange and killed it but now over 24 hours later looks worse than it did before. When weather is warmer i will just have to scrub it. the ceiling is mostly unaffected, and what little is killed-off reoccurs within a couple of weeks.

The Company was receptive to our concerns, but could offer no explanation as to why their indoor product has proven to be so totally ineffective in our well ventilated bathroom.

Personally we can't help thinking that we received a bad batch, but the Company Representative wouldn't accept that, and couldn't offer an explanation.

Awesome Product used a few times over the years – Awesome Product used a few times over the years and works wonders the results are not instant, I'm laughing at the two other reviews on Wet n Forget, the users obviously never read the instructions because it takes time to work it isn't instant, I sprayed it on our unit of 3 units brick and concrete paths because it had black mould, 3 months later our house was the cleanest of all 3 units and the concrete was great.

False advertising - waste of money – I purchased both wet n forget and also shower witch. dont waste your money. Does not work the way they advertise. Applied both in the recommended areas to the instructions and both failed. Went back to the old way with snow white diluted in warm water and put the ole back and elbow grease into it.

Can do the job – Can do what it is meant to do i.e remove moss and mould from outside surfaces but not as easily as manufacturer implies. For results of any description I had to use double the amount, a scrubbing brush and elbow grease. Then I saw great results! advertising to suggest you just apply and forget. I would absolutely recommend this product if you are prepared to put your back into some seriously hard scrubbing because the results are excellent.
