Right from the start this locks internals looked cheap a plastic cog operating the whole mechanism which failed after a month or so this lock had been nothing short of a headache with continual connectivity issues not sure how it won awards would not recommend this to anyone. Show details

By itself, it's OK. The autolock/unlock feature is pretty cool. But it only works with the Yale app - the biggest problem is this unit won't work with it's OWN HUB! (Yale Hub). 'it would be fine'. It's not - because it's only half baked. I've sought support on multiple occasions from the manufacturer who gave up pretty quickly when their recommendation of factory reset didn't do anything. They now ignore my ongoing requests for support. I can't control the lock unless I'm standing next to it, which means a key would be faster (even though I like being keyless otherwise). So buyer beware - this unit has promise, looks great - but isn't fully functional and therefore can't be configured for an optimal experience. Unless it's sister lock for the front door which works pretty flawlessly. If only Yale/Assaabloy would support their own products - otherwise all I can say is 'Caveat Emptor'!

you wondering if there was something wrong with your fingers. It's going back to Bunnings tomorrow, you expect a lot more for $349 with a well known brand.
Good warranty support and works well – Rating updated. Soon after writing the initial review, Yale support sent out a replacement lock. May be I should have waited couple more days. Original review: While installing the unity security screen door lock, one of the sockets for door sensor came off the circuit board. I wrote to them explaining the situation and I was being careful inserting and taking it back out. Been a few days but no response at all. Very tight space for the wire to plug into and the socket seems to be only delicately stuck to the board with minimal glue. once the plug is in and you try to take it back out, the whole socket is likely to come off no matter how careful you are.
Do not buy. Does not work. Terrible customer service – Purchased the Yale Unity Screen Door Lock and wifi bridge. The lock failed to lock correctly when supposed to and would lock on its own when not supposed to. Ended up completely failing after a few weeks. The Bridge didn’t work from the start. (should’ve believed them before being optimistic and purchasing). It seems like they’ve got huge software issues that haven’t/cant/won’t be resolved. Customer service is atrocious. Had the token overseas help centre for the first week of back and forth unsuccessful (vague) attempts at problem solving. Then got bounced around to multiple customer service operators who never called me after multiple requests. An absolute headache from start to finish for a product that would be potentially great if it actually worked.
Aesthetic appeal, smart control draw, but nightmare to get it to operate - Stay Away! – Bought this when it came on discount for $349. instructions pamphlet don't all correspond to the steps that go with it.
The exterior is high quality, however the internal parts are cheap and fiddly. Gears made of plastic, not what you'd expect from an expensive lock such as this.
The final steps of the instructions manual especially are so bad and lacking clarity
After managing to get it's own mortice lock to work watching YouTube videos, which took over 1.5hrs as it's gears we're engaged correctly (couldn't even reach their customer care who only work during standard Australia business hours; Pathetic!) I still haven't been able to engage the auxiliary bolts despite using it over a month now.
The App, bloody hell of an App - 'Yale Home' - absolute nightmare to use. Setup on my Galaxy was not easy.....however impossible to set up on my wife's iphone. It took their tech support a whole week to diagnose whatever the heck the issue was and to get the app store's app to work.
On the box & description it says it works with Google assistant & Alexa....well, a bunch of lies and false advertising.....
1. It doesn't link with either service. Oh by the way, on google there is no correct service to select....on Alexa there are 5, ehich one is the right one, well go figure, after managing to find the one that does seem to link.....nothing, zilch, nada, nothing happens.....the rating for all Yale link service on Alexa....1 star, wonder why that is ? 2. The bluetooth on this lock is so outdated, it will not work if you're even 4 metres away 3. To have wifi access to the lock you need to fork out another $200(incl.delivery) for another piece of worthless nightmare of a wifi-bridge [which again I foolishly bought thinking it will improve my accessibility/connectivity to the lock]. In over two weeks I still haven't got it to join my home wifi, tech support again is aware of this widespread issue and still apparently "working on a solution" however they are happy to keep taking orders and selling this worthless piece of shi*. 4. None of the features of the app such as 'smart alerts, Auto-Locking, Door-sense' work
On top of all this, everytime you try to operate the lock, it take a whole 10secs for the app to connect to the lock, another 4secs for the lock gears to turn before it opens/closes each time. A keyed lock is faster than this.
What a joke Yale, seriously shame on you.
A rip-off, stay away, I'll be returning this!
