When I first used this Zero stuff carefully selecting each weed with a gentle spray on each weed firstly I had no results for up to a week. Then all of a sudden this chemical killed the grass up to an 800mm radius of the weeds. I have large dead patches all over my lawn. The lawn look dam terrible. Never again never to be recommended by me.

l have purchased the Yates Zero Rapid 1 hour action product from bunnings on 28 June 2026 have seen no effect of 4 July 2026. This product is not worth purchasing. l have submitted a complaint to Yates and will also go back to bunnings to complain and request my money back.

Based on the photos provided, there are several factors that can influence herbicide performance, including weed type, spray coverage and growing conditions. While visible results can often be seen within hours, complete weed control can take longer depending on the target weed and environmental conditions.

Don’t waste your money on this garbage – This is so ineffective you’d have a better chance at killing weeds with spring water. I can’t believe how awfully [Content Removed] this product is. It may as well have made the weeds bigger. I bought a 2-pack so now I’m stuck with double the waste.

Yates Zero Weedkiller – This 3 litre weedkiller is sold by Bunnings Warehouse and it's a sham product. Twice I sprayed the same area after a week, it still doesn't work. Information listed on the product is totally false. This product contains too much water. It is a waste of money on this product. I lost my receipt I could not return it.

Yates Zero is a non-selective herbicide and will control any plants, including lawn grasses, if it comes into contact with them. Damage of the kind you've described is typically caused by the product being applied to, or drifting onto, unintended areas, which is why it's important to carefully follow the label instructions. Applying in lawns can be tricky, which is why we have other products that could be more suitable for your application.
