Service Center Response: The service centre informed me the 2nd time round that the machine had to be disposed of due to a cockroach infestation, stating it was not covered under warranty.

Observations & Customer Support Experience: Usage & Maintenance: The machine was only used on weekends, and official descaling kits were used when performance issues first appeared. The home undergoes annual pest control fumigation. De'Longhi Response: Advised directing all inquiries directly to Nespresso. Nespresso Response: Did not respond to follow-up emails regarding potential seal defects or internal moisture retention issues that could contribute to pest entry. Summary: Due to initial flow issues, repeated repairs, and the potential design risk regarding internal moisture attracting pests, buyers should inspect their machines if they notice a sudden change in coffee flow or quality. Given the lack of resolution from customer support, I cannot recommend this model.

an error message 'attach steam tip'? I use the machine for one coffee a day, occasionally two, and it is cleaned and descaled regularly as reminded by the automatically generated message. I contacted Nespresso re this fault, and they were great! I can't fault them. I packed up the machine and took it to the post office to be sent off for repair four days ago, postage is covered by Nespresso. (I had to buy a box and bubble wrap from Bunnings for approx. $6.00). Today I have received notification that it has been fixed and will be delivered back to me today, just in time for the weekend! I have been very happy with my purchase and really impressed that I wasn't out of pocket for the repair, and the quick turnaround. Hopefully my machine will last for many more years.

extremely inconvenient & annoying is you can only buy their coffee pods. Also the milk frother isn’t as good as my old one even though it looks better. My other coffee machine was compatible with many coffee pod brands. I’m seriously considering getting rid of it because it’s also more expensive when I was wanting to cut down costs.

full though it is empty, - descaling says it needs to be done but was only done that morning when directed (you can't use the machine until the descaling is done, something even the Lavazza support person didn't know... really.. - there are the very sharp edges and corners on the waste bin, - impossible to clean the waste bin without lots of manual cleaning with cloth and tool/spoon to get into the corners, due to the sharp corners when they should be rounded like food items should be for hygiene and cleanliness, - NOT HOT ENOUGH,

The coffee is quite nice.

The biggest and most dangerous issue with the Lavazza Desea is the leaking of water under the base of the machine.

Do NOT leave this machine plugged into the wall socket or let ANY other person use the machine in case of fire, electrocution and shock. Alone with this leaking water there is also now a strong plastic odour that can be tasted in the coffee and the smell in the air, surely this can't be healthy neither.

Contacted Lavazza, they did a wasteful video call to see the issue that they didn't give a toss about, they haven't even asked for the machine to be returned for investigation

Lavazza offered a measly 10% discount of a replacement, that is already $104 dearer than Bunnings so the 10% discount is useless... NO CUSTOMER RELATIONS OR CARE OR SERVICE

all the online conversations about how to get around or 'make do' with a faulty product, or simply ask for a refund. This is where the fun begins, as Wacaco Customer service is appalling. I variously had to deal with poor communication and poor customer service skills before then meeting with a rude, defensive response when I simply had to repeat that I wanted a refund.

looks good. We love the coffee and the in-built milk steamer, but the necessity for descaling is not the best! This machine indicates it needs descaling, and if it isn’t done within a few days, it stops working — literally! If I want a coffee, I must drop everything and spend the next 30 mins descaling the machine. Not to mention that Nespresso charges $19 for a pack of 2 descaling solutions. It took us about 2 months (obv depending on coffee production) of using the Creatisto Uno before we realised that the descaling necessity stopped everything. Honestly, I would not have purchased this product if I had been made aware of this annoying feature.

makes several sizes too. First couple of cups were awful….bitter and hardly any crema, just large bubbles. So I called customer service and the agent got me to do a factory reset. The first cup did look a bit better, more crema and smaller bubbles but then it went back to a very thin layer of large bubbles….not crema. I’m very disappointed because I only bought the machine for that…..now I’m stuck with a subscription of $50 a month for a year. What a waste!

Nespresso is the excellent service I've received in the past. I remember when one of my machines developed a problem, they sent me loan machine while mine was being repaired, thus my family not having to do without coffee…read on.

My machine has started leaking, a slow seep. It is constantly sitting in a puddle of water. It was only a couple of months old when I noticed it and I spent the next couple of months making sure it was the machine, not user error.

Now to the customer service, or lack thereof. To have my faulty $1,100 coffee machine looked at, I have to pack it up, take it to a post office and send it back to them. They'll look at it and decide what to do from there. We'll be without our coffee machine for at least two weeks, not to mention the inconvenience of having to return such a large machine.

I've been a faithful Nespresso customer for 15 years. I'm on my fourth machine. Had I realised their faithful clients are now being treated as a number, I would have bought the Breville Barista I was considering.

Note Added: After lengthy discussions, Nespresso were able to resolve my machine problems to my satisfaction. Despite Australia Posts's usual attempts to mutilate a successful conclusion, I am now enjoying my morning coffee, made with with my non-leaking Virtuo Creatista. Thank you, Nespresso.

coffee tamping to the coffee grind. Very fine grind can block it. You also need a bit of hand strength to pump it. I've had no problems with quality of build and it looks great. It's not for the faint hearted, you need to think about what you are doing, as with all espresso.

proven to be a “I will stick to the Breville” scenario. The machine has developed a leak and nothing works. The white light just stays on. I can’t take it back as I won it as a prize. No receipt and no idea where it’s from. If there was a service dealer I could call without trying to sell me a new one that would be awesome.

A standard Nespresso coffee pod does not fit inside the cartridge and is forced/squeezed in to the cartridge to be used. After you deepened the coffee you have to remove the cartridge which is hot, pop the cradle that holds the pod to release the pod which is also hot then remove the pod from the cartridge and throw it away, which is also hot. But the biggest pain is the residual stoppage after dispensing coffee. The cartridge drips for at least 30 seconds after machine has stopped. We take the cartridge out of the machine after each use to wash it and to stop it dripping but this is also painful because the hot water drips onto your hand and burns you. The Nespresso cartridge simply is badly designed, where the coffee comes out from the cartridge bottom, there seem to be a chamber that stores the coffee before it come into the cup, this chamber seem to always be full of water coffee and after a while I’m sure it’ll be full of mould as the chamber always seems to have water in it even after it siting in the sink for hours.

The water tank is another problem, it just doesn’t open easily to fill the tank it also has issues. There are lugs on each side of the lid and the lid doesn’t just simply open, you literally have to force it open to the point of nearly breaking it. Again just another issue that no thought went into. The tank only holds enough water for the long blacks, that’s it!!

This unit is cheap and nasty in its design and construction, it does make good coffee although making this coffee has it’s challenges.

Making ground coffee, coffee is messy and trying to empty the cartridge is hot wet and messy, in a traditional barista machine after coffee is dispensed a coffee cake is left behind which is thrown away, no such luck with this unit.

All I’d like to finish with is just as well we only paid $145 otherwise I would take it back and throw it at someone. I wouldn’t recommend this unit to anyone.

It looks like the pod sealing rubbers wear out in that period of time. We also had descaling program problems where it would jump steps and we would have to restart the cleaning process. Although under five years old and for the top of the Nespresso line of pod machines Nespresso said it was beyond repair and would not repair or offer a replacement at a price we felt was acceptable. Our machine looked as good as the day we purchased on special, it had no scratches or marks at all. Their Special Price offered now was higher than we could walk in to the Good Guys and buy off the shelf. Looking at product reviews there are many people who have had the same problem as us and it appears Nespresso has just not supported or resolved this. We have been Nespresso clients since early 2014 and had a very basic machine that was upgraded in 2016 to their best premium machine. We had subscriptions and over the 2014 to now period have spent thousands of dollars on Nespresso pods and machines, from this point on out of choice we will not purchase Nespresso products. We have purchased a cheap on special machine and once our extensive pod stock has been used up we will offer the machine for purchase on eBay never to use Nespresso again. Twelve years of purchases account for nothing and although telling us they normally supported machines up to five year they would not repair or replace our machine. It really makes me wonder at the quality of the first repair as our other programming problems started after that repair. I think it is reasonable to expect at least a five year lifespan for a RRP $1,499 machine or at least a substantial discount if it is truly beyond economical repair in that short a time. We have moved on and purchased a real coffee machine and will never support Nespresso again. Buyer beware they have lost all customer focus and are a very arrogant company to deal with unfortunately certainly not the Nespresso of past years.

pods, it does not froth milk, milk frother has given up working. Try to make any coffee and it pumps water into the container below where the dispensed pods are kept. It lasted 1 and a half months largely not working properly for most of that time. I will never buy another Nepresso/Delongi machine again and Im sharing my experience far and wide. the opposite, however I can't speak for back up service as I haven't needed any, so probably keep that in mind. Had the machine for over 6 months now and it has been given an absolute flogging by my husband who would make 4 to 6 cups of latte type coffee a day. I have used multiple coffee machines over the years ( all reviewed) with varying degrees of success. I avoided the capsule type as I didn't like the idea of consuming something that involved steaming water penetrating plastic and then having to dispose of more plastic. So when they changed the capsules to alluminum I decided to give them a go. It heats up blindingly quick, we are talking a couple of minutes. We use Lavazza capsules but any brand of similar size will do ( if the box the capsules come in says 'capatable with Nespresso coffee makers' then you are good to go). Extremely simple to use: fill the water compartment, turn it on, wait for the flashing light on the front to stop flashing and then press the button of the size of cup you want. Both sizes are quite small so we pick the larger size and use the strongest coffee capsule to get a full bodied brew with a decent amount of crema (see photo). The result is a warm and close to a good quality barista coffee. However if you like your coffee hot you will have to zap it in the microwave. I like mine somewhere in the middle of luke warm and hot so I only zap mine for 10 seconds and I can't detect any change in the flavour or quality of the coffee. We then add the whipped milk from our Expressi milk frother (see my review). It has paid for itself in coffee already and if it lasts for another 6 months it will have been well worth the purchase price. Bought from an Australia Post agent $99. Pros: so far the best "cheap" coffee machine I have used. Fool proof to operate due to being a capsule machine, fits all capsules that fit Nespresso machines, slim design so takes up little benchtop space and produces quality barista type coffee. Cons: coffee only warm so if you like your coffee hot may not be suitable for you.

Unfortunately we are stuck with 6 unused vertuo coffee sleeves that cannot be returned. I am feed up with the poor build of these machines and wish to opt out of Nespresso.
