guys. I have been in the dark the entire process having no clue as to what is happening. I also had to repeatedly follow up on unanswered emails, and was asked by them to send through paperwork again which i had already sent.

They also lost the first email I had sent them, with the contract to check over. I had to call to follow up for this also, and yes I did get a phone call back that morning, but I should have known at that point that the ball would be dropped throughout the process. Yes, i get that people get sick and can't go to work, but surely, for time sensitive matters there would be a shared inbox to check when this happens?!

Had to call regarding PEXA as well as it was 2 business days before settlement and I heard diddly squat, only to be told by my bank the date was actually 14 days after I was initially told it was. The first letter had one date of settlement, but it was actually something different - which I understand the reasons for, but it really should have been communicated but it was assumed that I should know this information. I didn't really give a hoot if the date was different due to what the contract said, what I am annoyed about is the lack of communication. I don't go around buying houses and apartments everyday to know contractual obligations etc off the top of my head. That is what I am apparently paying this company for.

On settlement day, one hour before settlement, I finally received an email from them to inform me of what would happen. This is after phone calls over the past two business days to see if I was required to transfer the remaining balance etc.

Everytime I called to check if I had any outstanding actions, the person was always busy or on another call. I also am not sure if this is a normal thing, but I had spoken to at least 4 different people over the phone over the course of settlement. If its normal, I wouldnt have a clue as there have been no updates as to the progress.

I really do not recommend these guys based on extremely poor communication and management. I was not happy at all at the lack of updates and even the attitude some of the solicitors had on the phone with me. I know you're busy but I wouldnt have to annoy you so much if you had the courtesy to send an email or update or timeline of events.

POST SETTLEMENT: building managers and body corp had not been notified of the transfer of ownership. As a result, there is rental money owed to me sitting in limbo somewhere from the previous owner. The property manager even commented they usually hear from solicitors before and after settlement as it is part of the process so they are able to with hold funds and transfer ownership. How many phone calls does one have to make to follow up? I have called and emailed repeatedly, only for Amelie to be "on the other line" and to never return my calls.

Honestly, these people have been a nightmare to work with. Purchasing a property is in general a big life decision for most people and is not taken lightly - these people are a joke.

experienced the level of issues I had with Ownit.

They provide a fixed-price quote, yet I was charged more than $500 extra for “special” searches that I understood were supposed to be included. Throughout the process, I also had to constantly follow up on mistakes in their emails. At one point, the seller’s solicitor contacted us directly regarding problems with matters Ownit had handled in relation to our contract.

Even three days before settlement, I was still chasing them for the settlement statement so that I could arrange the funds in time. This should not have been necessary.

The property I purchased was a rural farm, yet I was charged more than $300 for a water search despite the property having tank water. It was extremely frustrating and gave me the impression that they simply don’t understand rural properties and instead treat every purchase as though it were an inner-city apartment.

For a supposedly professional conveyancing service, the lack of attention to detail, communication and understanding of the property was extremely disappointing.

After many property transactions over 40 years, this was by far the worst conveyancing experience I have had. I would not recommend Ownit and will certainly never use them again.

Everything was clear from the word go. Joanne Rajab was our focal solicitor and she was extremely competent and on top of everything we required. I was overseas at the time and she even allowed for a 14hr time difference to attend to calls. They definitely know what it means to wow the client. an 11 out of 10 experience from us. Multiple unanswered calls and voicemails left, emails and texts and only days out from our settlement have they finally reached out with incorrect information based on our circumstances. Creating extreme worry and stress in what is meant to be an exciting time. The assigned conveyancer didnt stay with us throughout this period and did not notify us that the person was not handling our case anymore... The replacement person has been nothing but rude and unhelpful in every interaction and treating us as if its an inconvenience to assist us ensuring that we are good to go and instead of being our middle man ground for equity, realestate etc. my partner has had to be the one doing all this work. For how much we pay in fees for the conveyancer for my partner to end up doing the work is not great. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

himself is actually a really nice down to earth guy, however I cant say the same for his team and his business practices, I really shouldnt have given them a 2nd chance.

What you can expect: - Slow reponses, like I mean.... slow - they sent me an email demanding money within 7 business days 13 business days ago (lol) - Terrible communication - David himself is "always busy" and you rarely can get ahold of him - you will be met with "yeah! no worries at all, we can do that" but they will never tell you a price or be VERY washy with the price - I had a couple of things on the go with them and was told verbally that you would only pay for 1 of them, next min I get 2 invoices, when challenged they try to gaslight you saying we never said that. - When challenged (you are within your RIGHT to do so) they sent it to a independant auditor without telling you A: the cost and B: what happens if it is more expenisve - They won't actually look after your position properly either, they will do what you ask them to do and no more, so you better be a good laywer! oh wait.... pretty sure thats why I hired you? - They will try to invoice you for work never completed either - im in the wrong industry clearly!

For a simple tick and flick house settlement, sure no worries but if you actually need something done properly ie: business or complex, go elsewhere, save your self the trouble

eleventh hour, my Complete Conveyancing contact offered to talk to both buyers for me. He came back with an offer $10,000 more than I was expecting and settlement date brought forward by almost two months. The net effect represents a significant windfall - more than 10 times their fee! For that alone I'd be singing their praises but they were also very good to deal with. I've bought and sold houses before but the rules keep changing. Each process was explained to me. Every question I could think of was answered promptly.

It was slightly disconcerting to be dealing with different people during different stages of the transaction - however in each case the handover was seamless and the overall process was smooth and felt very much in control.

Complete Conveyancing use a 3rd party to manage online electronic "signatures" for documents. I was always taught that you NEVER click on a link in an email from an unfamiliar source. I would have preferred that they contacted me to expect the "request to sign" email from the 3rd party, however in each case I confirmed with them that the request was legitimate (which I recommend you do) and they were always prompt to respond.

I would use Complete Conveyancing again, definitely.
