Poor and weak bass the Z623 has much better and louder bass because it has an amplifier class analog AB class the satellites are 8 ohms and the subwoofer is 4 ohms. I've asked about that. Logitech satellites 35w total 70w and subwoofer 130w.

(isolated rips in the rubber surrounds in the drivers ). I bought a set a Jamo's and also had a good quality computer audio system setup and used those in the years the VAFs where in storage. I thought they sounded good, until I recently pulled the VAF's out and wired them up, bi amped to my Denon. You don't realise what you are missing with audio .. until you do. I've gone from cardboard under water to crystal mid - highs and deep round bass, I can hear the tone of the bass amp used in the recordings. I am planning to get the speakers refurbished but even as they are after 20 years I am very happy. There is so much cheap crap around and you tend to just get use to it. In some ways we are going backwards accepting the quality of cheap crappy stuff.

the speakers unusable and I have since replaced them with a cheaper set of Logitech speakers. This happened after about 10 months for the first set and I contacted customer care who replaced the speakers. That process was good. However, the second set did exactly the same after 2 months. I went through *all* of the trouble shooting tips (different power source, different computers, trialing different speakers etc). My previous Bose Companion speakers (from the 90s) worked perfectly. This is a dud product. And for a company does one thing (sound), I'm amazed that they haven't fixed this well-known issue with the product (check out reviews on the Bose Australia website as well).

thought about them they sound excellent while listening to music and with movie sound tracks. Best money I’ve ever spent. Personally I think these speakers make remastered older music almost sound like it’s new These speakers I think are what I would call balanced, not sharp on the ears and not dull But a full range the sound quality is awesome of course it all on the source files your playing content from, I also have an epicentrix centre speaker and the vocal quality is absolutely amazing I can’t turn it up super loud it’s all being run by a Yamaha RXA3070 pre amp I’m thinking about an 7 channel Elektra power To feed them. If you have a good budget and are able to get a pair you will not regret it.

Because of the internal equaliser this speaker doesn’t suit any studio work as it will not play raw sound. This internal equaliser suits newer music like pop/rnb/electro more than classical and classic rock etc.

Will be loud enough to use in a small room but not likely for a house party.

Dolby Atmos is awesome. Quality is so good I now want to add another Era 300, Arc Ultra Soundbar and the sub woofer to make a complete surround system. When I win the lotto of course….Sonos is pricey, but worth it for the sound quality alone!

underpowered so later upgraded to a 9.2 Yamaha system with bi-amp / bi-wire feature, connected as normally first they sounded great so much better then decided to set up via bi-amp / bi-wire to see the difference & the speakers came alive with noticeably more bass, but also mid & highs which were much more obvious, my home theatre setup is now complete & has that punch it was missing, totally wrapped. I don’t claim to be an audio expert, but I think some people purchase based on price or name thinking higher price always means better sound or quality, well I purchased these for under $500 & sound better then some speakers I’ve brought costing 5 times the price. other, every time I try to switch I end up having to log out from the app, reinstall and start the setup all over again. I don't bother any more the app has made my Sonos systems a complete waste of time and money and so frustrating to use.

The bass is not too robust so if you prefer strong bass, you may need to get an operate subwoofer to reinforce the bass.

All in all it is a good pair of desktop speakers good for music and computers.

The set up may be a bit of a process at the beginning but the picture for this review should be able to help.

ended up looking around and eventually decided that I wanted my own personal little setup to start from scratch. I had 2 no name cheap speakers (phantom centre speaker) which never worked properly cause the amp back then didn't support more then half of the effect that it was supposed to cause it was so old,, but I found a YST-RSW300 that I ended up getting given at work. Plugged it up and it worked but would flutter from behind the driver at a certain frequency. It would sound phenomenonal on the Fallout 4 start up menu (although being an absolutely horrible game), have deep bass, would have wicked impact and would be really responsive. Although how great it sounded, I eventually got sick of hearing the flutter, which broke immersion in games and movies. I eventually got a Klipsch R52c centre speaker for the vocals, just about 2-3 weeks ago I got the R51M bookshelf speakers until I can get the R820-F for the mains and move the bookshelf speakers to the rear. So I eventually decided to see if there were other ones or even newer ones. Which ended up me finding the NS-SW300,, the result was instantly noticed. I didn't use it too loud and I still don't really use it too loud just yet (being that I've had it for well over a year. I did use the Mono input to start off with but realised that the LFE plug over rides the Mono and frequency dial. And it sounds good, real good. The bass is tremendous, the Fallout 4 menu again sounds deep and impactful. It responds really quickly, the depth of bass that comes out isn't too boomy or over the top. I ended up having yo turn the gain down from half way to about a third of the way up. Having the port on the right side of the cabinet means that you can use the entire room or the wall to extend the bass. I have since purchased a second subwoofer of the exact same. It doesn't really need it because the way I have them yet up is via a gold plated 5m long Y-plug feeding from my single subwoofer pre-out Yamaha RX385V. Not a bad amp but at the time I was limited with the moolah. I can have either subwoofer on while playing video games or movies. And which ever one I do use is in the perfect spot. But if I use both at the same time then although it doesn't get overly explosive or Michael Bay(esq) it gives the illusion of more bass (defined by the 3+dB thanks to the two) I was hesitant to buying a subwoofer because in the past I did buy a Klipsch RS100 which stopped for some reason not even 6 months of buying it and it upset me because it cost so much and I thought that it sounded good. And there's no fuse like all the other ones to be able to replace,, so straight over the shoulder that went and in came the Yamaha NS-SW300 and so glad that I did end up coming down to this one. She enforces power down pact, the rattle of my entire bedroom and the loose things around the house can confirm that. My neighbours even hear it, not from how loud or over the top it is, but by how low and deep it reaches. The port of this design makes you realise that even though it's a compact size, you'll defiantly get more then enough bang for your buck. Realistically, if you want a subwoofer that has great response and that reaches lower then what your soul does going down to hell then this is definitely something for you. It's small and compact and I even have it in a small (but fully open on all sides) glass cabinet and it couldn't be any better. The bass hits exactly where we sit and even all around the room. Because it fires so rapidly and precisely, there can't really be a better subwoofer at this size for the same price. This has one finished on the top of a lot of lists regarding it's size and output and just as an overall item. Hopefully you read this novel (if anyone did) and made your mind up about this monstrous machine of a subwoofer.

system with external power I used previously, as although there is less bass response the Pebbles have better balance overall. On the first few listens they had a slightly 'processed' sound, but I don't notice that anymore. They can not match a proper stereo system, but I often find myself using them at the computer because they are so convenient and the sound is more than good enough. I expect the only way to get better sound from something that sits on your desk is through good quality headphones.

The USB plug set up is great advantage. They switch on/off when you switch on/off your PC and no mucking around trying to connect (and reconnect) a bluetooth speaker. They also have a stereoscopic effect which most Bluetooth speakers seem to loose by putting bother speakers in the same body.

The only disadvantage is they are hard to buy. Mine came from a lucky 2nd hand sale, but could not find them locally for sale new. The cables could be a bit longer as well.

ridiculous, and honestly, the sound out of the box is good, the best DSP mode is Dynamic, and second is Vocal...look, all in all, if you want high quality speakers, I think these are your best bet at getting real sound to your ears. Just buy them, you won't regret it. I have them hooked up to my computer through USB, and they have been running now for 2 weeks without any problems what so ever. I did EQ them a good amount, but it's all pretty much room noise. JUST, BUY THEM. DO IT!

After much researching... This freakin little 2.1 getup, at literally 1/20th the cost of my big boy mains, subs & hybrid amp, is doing a simply brilliant job. Clear highs, fresh mids, tasty lows (yes, good drum!). It's beautifully finished too. I don't know what i'm going to do with that stereo gear, but for now i'm happy. Forget soundbars, this Edifier kit is ridiculous value for money & sound.
