Good sound (not great) — when it works. For me, that’s about 40% of the time. It blares on at any time (2 or 4am usually), and it takes about a minute to pair with my iPads or iPhone. When it does work, the frequent stopping makes a pleasant listen impossible. It’s like the old days of buffering all over again! Ewww no no no!! Below is where this product belongs. The bin, or better yet…..THE TOILET. Show details
I have three HomePod Minis (unfortunately). I recently purchased a Samsung TV, which is excellent, and I thought I didn't need a soundbar. I can buy a couple of Apple HomePods (Larger Speakers than the mini); fortunately, before spending another $1,000, I tried to link my Mini's to my Samsung TV - NO, YOU CAN'T! Apple and their obsession with… Read more
locking you in doesn't allow Samsung to link via Wi-Fi to Mini's, but they allow iPhones to link to Mini's via Wi-Fi. They built software to block Samsung - it's pathetic and childish and drives loyal (was) customers away because of their stupid little games. I have cancelled my iTunes (moved to Spotify) and dumped my Apple TV. Next will be my iPhone - I was a massive fan of Apple - and now I feel like I have been cheated like an unfaithful lover. Well, it's over. I am getting a divorce from Apple!
Apple Mini Home Pod ** excellent Product – Fabulous Speaker easy to Set Up - was using it with iPhone 10 - now using with iPhone 15 works perfectly. Sound is so clear - use it for playing my Music, Radio Stations, YouTube & talking on iPhone - I give it 5-5. I love the way Apple Products Sync together. Show details
Sound is fine - drops out constantly – The sound from this device is impressive given its size, but the constant dropping out is infuriating. Wifi signal is strong, troubleshooting guides followed, Spotify and Apple Music - nothing changes the dropping out. Show details
So sick of restarting it – Every time I have to use this thing I have to restart it to be able to get the playlist I want to talk to the phone. It’s infuriating. May as well just leave my phone play as I fall to sleep. Show details
Probably the best value product from Apple – I’ve several HomePod mini’s around the house, all working great. For the quality of the speaker and it’s connectivity, it’s a pretty good buy at $149. Some apple products seam insanely priced - $1000 monitor stand - but this one is definitely worth it, especially if you’re already in the apple ‘ecosystem’. The intercom feature is most used in our house as it’s quite handy. Show details
Great in theory, if it only worked – The only thing I can get this little ball to do is, is tell me the weather and other basic SIRI functions. Getting it to play music requires a degree in computer science which i do not have time to complete.
DOES NOT WORK – It does not play music (tap to transfer) from iphone 12 pro; my iphone constantly vibrates but the homepod mini does nothing; it freezes my iphone; plays random music despite no music being played on my iphone; and the device cannot be reset (even though I deleted it on home app, it does not reset the device). I will now return it tomorrow for a… Read more
refund. Apple is not ready to provide sound/smart home devices. They already discontinued their homepod device which received many negative reviews. This is so suprising because I am an Apple fan and never had any issues with their other devices.
Sound is amazing. Connectivity for me was terrible – When I could get the pair of these amazing little speakers to work they were phenomenal. The trouble is they wouldn't stay connected. Sometimes they would connect to the phone, sometimes to the tv. Sometimes to both. Sometimes to neither. I updated every operating system. I followed every single tutorial online, every guide on the apple website… Read more

The strange thing is I've never had an issue with another Apple product. My Apple TV is bulletproof. The laptop incredible, my iPhone is great. My wifi is good and reliable. The only problem on the whole network was the HomePods which would never work consistently.
Apple support was useless and in one case incredibly condescending. Just reading out from the same script and asking the same questions over and over again while speaking like robots.
It was abundantly clear they had no knowledge of the product or of any technical help
To their credit they offered replacement or refund, but to do that they expect you to go all the way back to the shop. It doesn't matter that you bought it from them directly, they refuse to do anything via courier, so this just to the added inconvenience after hours of infuriating troubleshooting.
I see that other people have had great experiences, with their HomePod mini speakers, and I got a cruel taste of how amazing they could be, but to be honest the stress of fighting them for the last 4 days has completely soured me on the product. And on the company to be honest.
Simply amazing – I have a sonos one and now this homepod mini, and the homepod mini by far outdoes the sonos. It is so good! Worth every single penny that I paid Show details
Good music sound, controls not good – I put a HomePod mini in my bedroom and found the sound quality great, not as good as the full sized HomePods I already have in my living room, but fine, Siri is responsive, but I find the volume is lower than I need even with music turned up, so I sometimes can’t hear it. This is never a problem with the larger HP, The biggest problem I have… Read more
with the Mini is the top controls which are not very easy to use and unresponsive. It’s useless as a volume control for the bedside as you can never tell where to press, and usually I end up accidentally pausing, etc, Also, having it light up briefly in the dark isn’t great.
Still, I’m happy enough with the purchase. I just put a coaster over the top of the controls.
perfect but you'll need 2 – 2 of these in the bathroom. 2 sound a lot better than 1 and they can squeeze in virtually anywhere. Siri responsiveness seems very good as far as Siri goes. impressive sound for a small package. will buy 2 more when I can for the bedroom.... Show details
Great Sound in a Tiny Package – I was one of the lucky few who was able to get the HomePod Mini early and I have to say the sound quality is amazing. Likes 1. It’s small in size so it fits nicely on my Computer Desk and the Living Room Shelves. 2. It has a nice bass feel and not overpowering and the highs are great as well music sounds great. 3. Setup was easy and simple… Read more
just like the Apple Watch, TV, AirPods the quick and fast setup is great does take time to setup though.
4. You can ask to call someone in your contacts and the sound is awesome can hear clearly and other party can hear well as well.
5. You can make alarms by asking Siri to set an alarm (like iPhone)
6. You can control your HomeKit devices with the speaker as well and it acts as a gateway for your devices so no need for an AppleTV or iPad to act as a hub.
7. You can have 6 active users on the device allowing each person to get a daily update on what’s happening for the day etc example calendars, reminders etc
There is so much more to like about this little speaker and I was so impressed I purchased 2 of them and have been extremely happy so far.
Dislikes
There aren’t any dislikes per say however setting up Stereo Pair was a little headache and unpairing it wasn’t all that smooth either.
Am I happy with this purchase? YES 100% it’s worth every cent and I went with the Space Grey.
