Stirling DC Pedestal Fan with Wi-Fi

Waste of money – Worked great till power pack started sparking . Company sent out wrong power pack. Now they tell me they don't keep parts and will not replace fan. Good luck with yours. Keep an eye out on the power pack sparking Show details

Stirling DC Pedestal Fan with Wi-Fi

Best fan I have owned – It is basically a 15 speed fan with handy remote control. I don't use the wifi feature, so can't comment about that. It is very quiet. The motor is very efficient. For bedroom night time use, slowest speed 1 or 2 are all you need to use. For such use I choose sleep mode which just means the fan slows to nearly a stop and then speeds up a… Read more ·  1

little before slowing down again, unless you were at a higher speed such a 5 or 6 in which case the blade speed will be faster. Go slow and steady with the assembly and it should be straight forward to set up.

Very Happy – Using it every night right now in combination with my ceiling fan. I like the fact that base is weighted. Noise level is quieter than previous fans. Only issue when fan is in swing mode the oscillator is hitting casing and making a noise. The best thing I discovered is that the remote is same frequency as our old Casablanca ceiling fans which remotes for have been extremely hard to source! Show details ·  1

Seems OK ..... Except – It was all going so well, and then I dropped my screwdriver on the weighted base insert thing and it broke into about 4 pieces. Happily it was one big bit and three smaller bits so I decided I could live with that vs packing it all back into the box, going back to Aldi etc etc. It's been on all day at full speed and swing and it's been fine. Noise level is acceptable, no sign of any ill-effects from only have 3/4 of a weight base bit! Show details

Bought from Aldi, does not even turn on – i purchased the fan from Aldi, got home and assembled it then plugged it in only to find out that it wont turn on... The box was open at the store and i asked one of the attendants if this was a return, they said no its just the last one and that nothing is wrong with it. Guess ill be returning this, so disappointing. Show details

gets noisy – Noise started from motor and clunking from direction change started within hours of operation on all speeds. The bright blue dash is ok, it turns into a green dot after a few minutes so no issues at night with that. Show details

Started off well then a little clicking noise started while oscillating from one side – Was really impressed with the fan, and don't want to lose it, however the clicking noise strangely started a week or so after use and at times as become noisier. It has never been moved from the spot it was placed in. I've looked at where the noise may be coming from and it appears it may be the engine. Frustratingly, Aldi isn't a store where… Read more

you can get another one in exchange.... If the clucking wasn't there I would give this fan a four star because the lights on the stem are annoying so covered the area with thick tape so it doesn't interrupt sleep. 7/12/22 just a little past warranty, I returned the fan to Aldi as it kept beeping during the night, waking me, as though I were changing the settings, and the control buttons and remote had to be pressed several times to get the settings right. Aldi wouldn't refund the fan. Disappointed to have paid the price to barely get 2 years worth of use. Donated the fan to a charity kitchen. Had to buy another fan - from a different trader and brand.

This is one very nice functional Fan – The Fan was quick to assemble. It has a very sturdy base and very stable upright stem. Adjustable height support for the fan is also a feature. The quality is good. I note it runs on a 24VDC 1AMP power pack adaptor. Running at full speed it is very quiet. The cooling air flow is very good. It has features of Timer, Osulation on or off and infinite… Read more

speed settings on slider or remote indication on the Fan. Remote is +/- / Timer/ Osculation. The display is blue and shows all its functions set. The Wi-Fi is very interesting. Smart Home Technical Information follows: It states to use the Stirling App downloadable from Playstore (Android) or Apple. I use Android. I did not download the instructed app. Follow the instruction to hold the osulation button down until it does a beep: WiFi configure mode. I used the Tuya App. It configured immediately. Works with Google Assistant Voice on your mobile phone or Google Nest Speakers and Amazon's Speakers and Alexa on your mobile phone. It gets every interesting! Because it is Tuya compatible works with many automated electricals, Bunnings Connect, Mirabella electricals, Brilliant Lighting and Kogan smarter Home products. In fact ANY Smart Home product that is Tuya compatible. I can control the fan via other devices like temp, lighting, automated timing, on arrival home, leaving home off etc. It can become past of your smart home ecosystem. I use Tuya. I know Smart Home. "Smart Things" App (from Samsung) will also interact the fan. Samsung's smart home device range works with the fan because Smart Things talks to Tuya! I hope Aldi understand what this means. That is all for ALL Wi-Fi devices if they are Tuya based. Tuya Corporation brings various branded names and names for Tuya compatible devices. The Tuya app can be readily downloaded from Playstore for free. The Fan deserves 5 Stars with this "hidden" feature.

Okay fan, but should have been better – Aldi can sometimes be a bit hit and miss with their electricals, and in this case with this fan what should have been a great product is let down by a couple of minor, but important issues. Firstly it has great power, great airflow and a range of options to fully get the most out of the powerful motor. And it looks good. But annoyingly it has… Read more

such a dodgy little electrical plug in cord for such a heavy well built fan, that whenever the fan is adjusted slightly, the tiny connection for that thin cord just pops out. Would have been excellent if it had a decent power cord like most other appliances have. Also another issue is the faint blue illuminated screen icons on the pedestal base, they are not easy to read unless you bend down close to the screen. So its better than okay, but just not great, and I don’t think I would recommend it.

Green flashing lights – I have this fan for my bedroom but when you turn it off with the remote all the buttons on the fan flash green and it's very bright when trying to sleep. It would be great for any other room just not a bedroom. Show details

At certain speed settings it is a bit noisy – I bought two of these, both can be controlled by the same remote. At certain speeds it gives out a bit of noise, I guess it is due to the blades not being balanced well. I am happy with them anyway. Show details

Best Pedestal Fan ever – I purchased this fan from Aldi in Pakenham and I absolutely love it! The different speeds are fantastic and extremely quiet. I wish to buy another one if I can find one. Show details
