It feels very solid and sturdy. The handle feels comfortable when using it and it has a longer handle which is great as it allows for a better swing. I love the orange handle as it stands out in the garage with all the other tools. It would be great if it came with a blade cover to use when it is being used, for safer storage. I was recently gifted the Atlas Trade 36” 6lb Log Splitter Maul with Hickory Handle to purchase for a fair and honest review. Having moved to a new acerage property, the timing for this trial was great. We have many trees that have quite solid trunks that needed to be split. Using this axe made the job much simpler (although it is still hard… Read more
work!). Splitting the logs for fires has been great, and I love that it also matches the smaller axe, so we have a set of the 2. The quality of the handle is great, and the blade and head of the axe are nice and solid. I would recommend this for anyone needing something a little more solid to chop through more substantial sized wood (ie not smaller branches). This product was given to me for the purpose of a fair and honest review.

Really happy with this. It feels solid and sturdy and has a good weight to it. Made splitting up some of our harder logs much easier than expected. Definitely does the job! Show details
This did a great job at getting through some very wide oak logs easily. I was concerned it was going to be very hard work, but the weight and shape of the head made it very effective - often one swing was enough to cleave a pretty large log in half. I was very impressed. Will be a staple for winter firewood splitting. I received this product for my honest review.
As a keen camper living in the Blue Mountains, I’m always looking for good tools to take camping, especially when we spend a week camping at the Bathurst 1000 Supercars. I was really impressed with the Atlas Trade 36” 6lb Log Splitter Maul. The long hickory handle gives plenty of leverage and the weight of the head makes splitting larger, tougher… Read more
logs much easier. It feels solid, well balanced and comfortable to use, and I really like that the bright orange handle makes it easy to spot around camp. My only downside is that it’s quite heavy, but overall it’s a great camping companion.

Absolutely love this splitter! It’s very well balanced and feels great when in use! My son loved splitting the wood with this and pairing it with the boy axe!

The Atlas Trade Log Splitter Maul is of great quality and feels comfortable enough when handling. My husband used it to chop up some firewood for our cabin and it did a great job. It is sturdy and powerful but is however a bit heavy. Very reasonably priced at Bunnings for the quality. This product was given to me for the purpose of a fair and honest review.
I used this maul at a recent weekend trip to our family cabin. It was going to be a cool evening so myself and a friend took turns cutting firewood. This maul is an absolute workout! Extremely powerful but at the same time extremely tiring; the axe head is quite heavy so you find yourself getting fatigued quite fast. Overall the maul was up for… Read more

Quality log splitter. Great value, felt like good quality. The only downfall was the axe head was a bit too heavy for me. My husband mentioned the same thing when he first picked it up however once he started cutting had no issues and it was very effective. I received this product for my honest review.

This log splitter looks good and it feels good to hold. It is not too heavy to use but the shape of the blade and long handle ensure its strong enough to get the job done. Excellent weight, not too heavy, and very powerful. Doesn't bounce off the timber when splitting big rounds which makes it very easy to work with. A great addition to the tool shed. I have been provided this product and asked to give my honest opinion. Show details
I found it very agile and easy to use. Its slightly longer handle and additional weight whilst not super heavy, is ideal for people of varying height and strength levels to use. Great Axe, Used it on some pine trees and it was like cutting through butter, haven't tried hard wood yet but i think it will do well, Light enough to swing all day but still packs a punch! I received this product for my honest review. Show details
This is a great mid range log splitter, if you’re looking for something solid & good quality but not dropping the wallet on it. The blade slices through timber and the handle is heavy and solid. A great addition to our camp setup & using at home for the fire pit. I received this product for my honest review.
My preferred splitting maul for firewood. Hand slightlynrough, needs so.e sandpaper to help with grip. Its also got a good heft to it which allows it split wood well I have been provided this product and asked to give my honest opinion.

This log splitter has a nice heavy head, takes a bit of swinging but the logs dont stand a chance. Also has a nice long handle to allow a good swing, but that same long handle is not very robust. Unlike an axe that gets thicker at the head this is the same diameter the whole way to the top. It actually split and cracked in my first session… Read more
using it which was disappointing cause it made the splitting relatively easy. Didnt need a big swing, just some momentum and the weight if the head. But it went back to the shop cause i was also not going to swing that weight on a cracked/broken handle.

definitely a bigger and heavier tool, but that’s what you want when you’re doing bigger pieces of firewood. It’s made splitting jobs quicker and easier compared with using a smaller axe.
Overall, we’ve been really happy with it and it’s a great addition for anyone who regularly splits firewood.

The Atlas Trade 6lb log splitter Maul was well weighted and comfortable to use. There was very little vibration, and the handle was a great length, especially for me, as I am tall. I found it to split the wood quite easily. This product was given to me for the purpose of a fair and honest review.
Really solid and heavy-duty maul. The 6lb head gives it plenty of power for splitting larger logs, while the 36” hickory handle provides good leverage and feels sturdy in use. I’ve been using the Atlas Trade 36" 6lb Log Splitter Maul for splitting firewood, and it has quickly become one of the tools I reach for when dealing with larger logs. balance feels good in my hands, and the hickory handle has a solid, traditional feel. I also like the longer handle because it gives me a bit more control and keeps me further away from the log while working. The main downside for me is the weight. At 6lb, it can get tiring after repeated swings, so I wouldn’t choose it for light or small jobs. For larger, tougher logs, though, that extra weight is exactly what makes it useful. Overall, I’ve found it to be a strong and effective maul that feels built for proper firewood splitting rather than occasional light garden work.
