of August (this is crazy to me because I had spent months looking at houses before without ever getting as close as putting in an offer let alone going through settlement) - this is our first property and the amount of unspoken rules and technical words in the industry is astounding. Not only did John answer every text message and phone call within the day, he did so with patience and kindness. I am someone who feels terrible about being an annoyance to others but John was always so kind and professional, it never felt like my questions were too much. - we were looking at our family home I which to raise our kids so it felt like a massive decision. Aussie buyers agents not recommended at all! The service they provide is not worth 7k, they don't offer you off the market properties, which is the main reason I engaged with them to begin with. In today's market you don't need an agent, believe me, I ended up doing most of the job myself. I lost 7k that I could have put towards my new home. Totally worthless

I am currently in a nightmare of a situation with the Aussie/Lendi buyer’s agent group. We engaged Aussie/Lendi Buyer’s Agents, paying a $3,300 upfront fee for the Investor Pro service. Agents [Name Removed] and [Name Removed] presented us with a… Read more

handful of properties, but they were either already under offer or not even remotely aligned with the brief we provided. At no point did we receive a genuine, suitable option.

When we raised this, the situation only got worse. While [Name Removed] told us we’d get a full refund, the Lendi group disputes team has been incredibly unfair, insisting that the service was “delivered” despite the fact that no relevant property was ever sourced or presented to us. They then refused to refund our money, and tried to get us to sign a gag clause. We refused. It was completely unfair and they did not deliver a suitable service as required under consumer law. [Name Removed] in particular kept giving us properties using the wrong deposit amount trying to pass them off as matching our brief but when I ran the numbers it was clear he was fudging the details and trying to pass them off as viable properties when they weren’t.

We’ve now had to escalate the matter to AFCA, which has caused us months of wasted time, financial strain, and stress. What was supposed to be a supportive, professional service has instead turned into an exhausting dispute process.

Buyer’s agents are meant to simplify the property search and advocate for their clients. In our case, Aussie/Lendi failed to deliver even the basics — both at the service stage and at the dispute-resolution stage. Please do not go with them.
