Blueant x1 – Great little speaker which goes very loud. Obviously the low end is well, not very low but for a 14 watt speaker that almost fits in a cup holder that's forgiveable. Mids are a tad harsh but the high end despite being highly digitally processed, sounds brilliant for such a tiny speaker. I've owned a bose soundlink which overall was better but for a locally made company and also taking the price point into consideration; blueant gets my tick of approval.

For the price, its a good speaker – Speaker projects good sound for its price and size. Battery lasts a long time. I've used it every day for the last 2 years and find it perfectly acceptable for a small, portable speaker. The bass and treble are fine. Yes, there's no sound field to speak of, there's distortion once it gets to louder volumes but again for portability and ease of use, its pretty good. Utilise your phones EQ settings for better sound. I find iPhones 'Rock' setting pretty good. It'll never compete with a home audio system but it performs better than a few more-expensive soundbars I've had. One bugbear - why BlueAnt have set it to play at 1/2 max volume on start-up for 30 seconds is questionable. Is it to shorten the life of the speaker?

Battery lasted just beyond the warranty period – I have received this little speaker from Telstra Plus on August 2021. I have used it 4 times since then, now the battery is dead, it works for a short time when the usb cable is connected only. It is disappointing how short the battery life is for this product.

Purchased in at Telstra Stores.

Zero Bass, absolutely zero – I've never heard a speaker with such little bass. I am not expecting room rumbling bass, but this speaker truley has none to speak of. I've got other small bluetooth speakers (bose sound link mini) and this blueant can't even get 1/10 of the sound quality. Not sure if mine is faulty. Also the minimum volume is too loud

Disappointing sound quality – The X1 has reasonably good bass and volume is OK but audio clarity is very disappointing. I realise this is by no means a top end product but would have expected better.
