Club Wyndham South Pacific generally receives high praise for its diverse range of locations and the consistently warm hospitality provided by its staff. Guests frequently highlight the spaciousness and quality of the self-contained apartments, noting that they often feel like a "home away from home." While the majority of feedback is positive, there are significant recurring frustrations regarding the ownership booking system and aggressive sales tactics.
Pros
- Exceptional Staff: Staff across various locations are consistently described as friendly, professional, and genuinely caring, with many guests feeling treated like family.
- Prime Locations: Resorts are highly valued for their proximity to beaches, city centres, and transport links, providing convenient access to local attractions and dining.
- Spacious and Well-Equipped Units: Apartments are frequently praised for being clean, large, and well-appointed with kitchen facilities, making them ideal for families and extended stays.
- Diverse On-Site Amenities: Facilities such as heated pools, family-oriented activities (like fish feeding and hobby farms), and quality on-site restaurants are major highlights for guests.
Cons
- Booking and Availability Hurdles: Owners report significant difficulty in securing bookings even well in advance, with some alleging that inventory is unfairly prioritised for public booking sites.
- Aggressive Sales Tactics: Multiple reviewers expressed dissatisfaction with "owner updates" that felt like high-pressure sales sessions, sometimes resulting in the withholding of promised vouchers or perks.
- Maintenance and Cleanliness Discrepancies: While most units are well-kept, recurring issues include outdated heating/cooling systems, non-functional lifts or appliances, and isolated reports of pests.
- Check-in/Out Inconveniences: Some guests found the 4:00 pm check-in and 10:00 am check-out times restrictive, and others noted a lack of on-site facilities (like gyms or pools) at specific regional locations.
Verdict
Club Wyndham South Pacific is highly recommended for families and travellers seeking spacious, well-located accommodation with a high standard of service. However, prospective and current owners should be prepared for potential challenges with room availability and persistent sales presentations during their stay.
Location was great. Far enough out of town but close to all we needed. Staff were great with a couple of standouts who made the stay awesome. Security was great as well.
Whilst just new to the family and needing a bit of TLC, Wyndham Hepburn Springs oozes class, comfort and style. Our 3 night stay was brilliant, Will and his team performed perfectly, friendly and professional. Once the make over is completed this destination will be on everyone’s to visit list. The restaurant was a pleasure to visit, food was of a high standard and well priced. Have already booked a return visit. Ray & Anita Show reply

We had a lovely stay, great resort to stay at, even though we travelled from the other side of the world (Melbourne Australia), it was a nice relaxing holiday and a good base to see a lot of the sights on Kauai. Long flight to endure but great place to recover & relax. The week went to fast for us and we were reluctant to leave such a beautiful… Read more · 1
area, Princeville. Great facilities & a lovely apartment overlooking one of the two pools. I did find the spa a bit too hot for me at 40 degrees Fahrenheit, ouch!!
Had 7 wonderful nights in a Studio deluxe with water views. Room was perfect for just the 2 of us and the bed was so comfortable, being a studio it only has hotel style mini fridge and kettle. They offered air fryer and frying pan, but so much better having cocktails and food downstairs. Great food and happy hour 4 till 6 every day. A short 5… Read more · 1
minute walk into town for more food and drink options. Overall fantastic staff and service that made us welcome, a great mid year experience .
The Phillip Island Wyndham resort is a great place for a relaxing family holiday. The town is only a walking distance and has many restaurants. We enjoyed the pizza from the resort cafe and all the staff are friendly and helpful. The resort also has a lake and many animals and birds. The unit and resort are well equipped. The Phillip Island itself has many interesting places and animals including penguins and fishing areas. Show reply

Wyndham Denarau is an exceptional resort. The resort has all self contained units which makes it a very economical holiday. The facilities, rooms and activities are exceptional. We have stayed at the resort 15 times and to us it is just like a second home. We like all owners and guests are treated like family and as such are interested in you as individuals not just as another tourist. Show reply
Wyndham at Golden Beach, Caloundra. Perfect location, beautiful resort, very friendly staff. It is located right along the waterfront. Easy walk along the broadwalk to Caloundra Powerboat Club. We took an electric wheelchair, a pram, and 14 people for my 70th birthday lunch. The weather for the week wasn't all that great, but the 2 bed rooms have… Read more · 1
a very spacious balcony that we could all congregate on. The onsite Thai restaurant food was lovely. The village shopping centre is directly there and it has a huge IGA, fresh bakery, about 5 restaurants and everything you could need for a holiday without getting in the car. Relaxing holiday & definitely going back there again !

peacocks, turbo chickens plus Birdlife. Swimming pools and bbq area. This would be the most complete Wyndham site in Australia. Everything you need is at this site. The only downside is that you may be tempted to just stay in and not travel anywhere!!! This may suit a recovering painter or author:) Please do not forget to look up and marvel the night sky; we missed the aurora because we were supporting the Matilda's that might :( We will be back!

We have recently holidayed at Wyndham Shirakabaso Japan. was a most enjoyable experience. The rooms, facilities and restaurant meals were all of a high standard. What was a standout of this location were the hot onsen facilities where you can sooth the muscles while watching the sunset, the perfect way to finish a day on the slopes!

My family stayed at The Sundance Lake Resort in Japan. My hubby and son-in-law went skiing and snowboarding and loved it. My daughter and grandson were with us too and the resort was great. The resort bar man Shushido was great. He remembered my grandson from last February. Would love to go in spring when the lake is not frozen. Will stay again. Show details · 1

the balcony. The staff were all very obliging but I asked for a 'regular' peeler and never got one, and neither the lift nor the washing machine worked all week (which is management responsibility; I did think that they could have upgraded us into a different apartment block, since we had to walk up and down to do laundry in another apartment). Breakfast was delicious; we only ate at one other time in the restaurant (dessert only, which was quite a small helping; sticky date pudding should have small jug of milk offered; to tone down the sweetness). There looked like dissolved serviettes on the water-covered stones across the road front... The pool was great, but no room for enough chairs around it, considering the number of people who wanted to 'hang out' there. The room above/adjacent could be better utilised as games room with pool or table tennis and games, so people can meet and make new friends. We appreciated the free bus up and down the (extremely steep!) hill and enjoyed the Owners 'Meet and Greet'. We would love to return to Wyndham Airlie Beach!
Follow-up · The free bus was great! Saved us climbing the hill after being downtown, and we missed one so the resort organised for us to go down as soon as he returned (It's only a few minutes' trip), ad he was on time for the return trip. We organised our own breakfast in our apartment, except for one morning at the restaurant, where there was plenty of choice, delicious and the view is great! The apartment was very clean :)
Just home from 7 nights at Airlie Beach. Awesome place for some R & R after knee surgery. Room was big, well appointed, comfy bed & we had a amazing view over the Marina. Show reply
Follow-up · The pool was excellent, always clean, lots of lounges to lie on & even a covered deck up a few steps. Accessibility into the pool was good. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast. Great menu, Eggs Beni was delicious as was the the pancakes/waffles.

My partner and I recently stayed at the Remada by Club Wyndham at Shoal Bay at the end of June 2026, where we encountered the most disgustingly dirty room we have ever seen in our entire 10 years of being Club Wyndham members. It has left us wondering what has happened to the Club to have a room so bad offered up for members to stay in. I am not… Read more
normally the type of person to write a review about anything because I am just not that into the internet, but I feel so strongly about this particular situation I just had to get this off my chest in the hope that no one else has to endure the same experience. Without running through a complete timeline of events I will attempt to stick to the points of dissatisfaction , disappointment and disgust. First of all we weren’t actually checked in on arrival at reception but we were given our room key cards, pamphlets of events and map of resort. Upon arrival in the room we found it to be very underwhelming with that drab outdated feel of mutton dressed up as lamb. Finding long black hairs in a number of different places in the bathroom lead my partner and I to look closer at the state of the room where we found dirt, dust and dead bugs on all window sills, at least 100+ dead squished bugs rolled up in the roller blinds on all windows, also no sheer curtains on any windows and they all faced a car park with other rooms above the car park so no privacy without the blinds being down and dead bugs on display. We then found what can only be described as snot wiped on the bed head wall, that wall was actually vibrating when you put your hand on it, the bed head vibrated as well and you could hear a humming noise coming from behind the wall. After then noticing a couple more long black hairs under the corner of some pillows on top of the bed I decided to take a closer look inside the bed where we found the most sickening part of the entire ordeal, once again it could only be described as snot dried up and crusty along with stains in several places on the bottom sheet. We also found long black hairs in a blanket in the cupboard, an absolute filthy stained mattress on the pull out couch, what appeared to be cola stains that had run down a grey painted wall in the dining area, a dirty greasy frying pan, a saucepan with what appeared to be a 2 minute noodle stuck to the outside and that was clearly visible by just opening the door of the cupboard. There were also dirty brown dribble stains on the outside edges of a large white serving bowl that were clearly visible by just opening another cupboard door in the kitchen. There were several more little things that I could write about but I believe you can get the picture of how my partner and I felt about the room. Oh I almost forgot to tell you about the 2 way radio that my partner found in the bathroom vanity cabinet, it was later confirmed to be from housekeeping. Need I say more! After having a manager come to the room and look at the issues, she agreed that the problems shown to her were not acceptable. She was sympathetic and understanding of the situation and worked with us to come to some resolution within her control. We were offered a bunch of restaurant vouchers as compensation for our troubles but we declined in favour of requesting all of our credits used for our stay to be returned. Only two days worth of credits were actually returned. We were given the option to change rooms, we asked if we could view the room first but it needed to be cleaned as we were told, no surprise there. Subsequently viewed the room and accepted it. A few days later it was my birthday, which was the whole reason for our trip, management were made aware of this fact and on that particular day while we were out a member of staff entered our room and left a card and bottle of champagne, which we were grateful for. But what we didn’t appreciate was that somebody entered our room without our knowledge or permission. There were other things like key cards not accessing areas which we were meant to have access to. So overall the trip was not a pleasant one which it was meant to be for my birthday holiday I hope somebody at Wyndham takes note of this review and takes a serious look at Ramada by Wyndham at Shoal Bay and the shortcomings that appear to plague the resort. We do give five stars for the Port Stephens area, which was lovely.
We recently stayed at Club Wyndham Denarau twice in less than a month, and both stays were absolutely wonderful. Everything about this resort exceeded our expectations. The staff are exceptional—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely caring. From check-in to daily interactions around the resort, everyone made us feel relaxed and well looked after.… Read more · 1
The upkeep of the resort is outstanding, with beautifully maintained grounds and spotless, comfortable rooms that made it easy to settle in and feel at home.
One of the highlights for us was how family-friendly the resort is. Our 2-year-old daughter, Myrtle, absolutely loved the fish feeding activity and the pools, and seeing how much joy she got from those simple experiences made our stay even more special. There were plenty of activities to enjoy, and everything felt thoughtfully designed for guests of all ages.
After two amazing stays in such a short time, we can confidently say that Club Wyndham Denarau is a place we truly love and would happily return to again and again. Highly recommended for couples, families, and anyone looking for a relaxing, well-run resort experience.
This was without doubt the best holiday of my life! I’ve visited more than 20 countries across the world – developed, developing, and underdeveloped – but nowhere have I experienced hospitality like at Club Wyndham Denarau Island. The Fijian people are humble, genuine, and always full of laughter, even while working hard. I asked one staff member… Read more · 1
how they manage to stay so happy, and the reply was simple but powerful: “We are Fijians, happiness is in our blood.” It blew me away – a reminder that joy doesn’t come from material wealth but from spirit and connection.
Two staff members deserve a special mention:
Sala from the activities team – an incredible person. Our morning beach walks with her, learning about Fijian culture and traditions, collecting fresh coconuts, and even seeing her support an elderly guest who struggled with walking, were priceless. Sala embodies true care and warmth.
Penny – the star of aqua aerobics! His energy, sense of humour, and unforgettable “Mamacita, oh my God!” moments had everyone in the pool smiling. From frog races to his quick-witted jokes, he created laughter and togetherness for families every single day.
This resort is more than just a holiday destination – it’s a place of genuine connection and joy. I can’t compare it to anywhere else. Vinaka Vakalevu, Wyndham Denarau – you’ve set the bar for hospitality worldwide. ✨

The location of the Leisure Inn at Pokholbin is great - nice and close to what the Hunter Valley has to offer.
