Filtration system works well, water tastes better and is cleaner. Installation was prompt and installer was friendly and helpful. The salesman, Charles, went out of his way to assist when we could not remember how to change filter. He came over and went through the process again, explaining how the system works once more, and demonstrating the step by step how to. (This probably not be a problem for younger people!) Worst after sale service. The filter housings split ( after warranty of coarse) and had to purchase new ones. Obviously a cheap product. Should be way more durable for the price. have found out. Plus they are in WA so anything you need takes weeks to get to you. This system is Certainly not value for money.
The filtration system seems to be great. Installation was the issue. The plumbers had to pull up pavers to do the install. I accept they’re plumbers, not pavers, but CHF needs to take responsibility for making good on jobs and get a paver on their books for finishing the job. shovelling into the garden before I stopped him), the pavers are all uneven, and there’s a paver removed for me to deal with.
I’ve now got a future issue with sinking pavers, bricks I’ve got to lift back up, and one or two that I’ll have to cut.
CHF could have spent $200 on a contractor to “make good” here and preserve their reputation, but they’re not that type of company. Buyer beware.

Definitely not as good as I heard it was. Been a month now and still not noticed a difference in the taste, hardness of water or anything.
Follow-up · I expected the water to taste more like rain water, but it tastes like chemicals. It has dried my scalp out so badly. I’m definitely not happy with it. I’ve also found the after care people extremely rude.

have a leak on the street side of the meter which SA Water has to fix. I complained to the company and asked for some kind of compensation ( a free filter) they have not been in touch with me for two weeks. I feel that once they have your cash, your on your own.
Follow-up · A year down the track. Have noticed the water pressure drops at times, have had to clean the shower head also, I thought it was a calcium build up but CHF assures me it's just "dirt". In hindsight I would not have installed these filters. Very expensive for little noticeable change of water quality.

$1000. So you basically pay $3000+ for the grey plastic box.
Great ads, polished sales pitch (on site only), sign on the spot after a convincing demo. Brilliant business model.
The longterm filter cost is the real lock in: The 15inch cartridges are their own standard and you have to purchase at the $350 annual "wholesale" price (You can buy regular 20 inch cartridges for $125 for a set). You will be smsed and emailed non-stop every 12 months, unless you either buy cartridges or call them and ask to stop for a year.
Follow-up · Here is an example of an email to persuade you to buy new filters every 12 months. It's now 1 month overdue, oh my. Not sure how "overusing" the filters for a month could damage the filtering system. But surely turning it off is not the answer, or is it? It's a good example of the pushy approach, polished as it may be.

Our intention was to finance the purchase through Bright Finance. However, after speaking with Bright Finance, we were advised that our application was unlikely to be approved because they required current payslips from both applicants. Due to my circumstances and having left my job to care for my father, I was unable to meet those requirements.
We explained our situation in full to Alistair from Complete Home Filtration as well as to Bright Finance. Despite providing a genuine explanation supported by our circumstances, Complete Home Filtration refused to show any compassion or flexibility. We were informed that our $400 deposit would be forfeited.
After numerous follow-ups, Alistair advised that the deposit would only be refunded if we obtained a formal rejection letter from Bright Finance, despite Bright already advising us that our application could not proceed because the required documentation was unavailable.
Given the exceptional circumstances surrounding my father’s illness and the financial hardship our family experienced, retaining our $400 deposit is unfair and unreasonable. We believe Complete Home Filtration has failed to act with empathy or fairness, despite being fully aware of our situation. In our view, withholding the deposit under these circumstances is an unjust business practice and has left us feeling extremely disappointed.

took the bait and paid the $400 to lock in the lower price (still around $5000). Did more research and decided to back out and forego the deposit. Sent a polite email to their office (after being flooded with constant followup calls every day), asking not to be contacted anymore. However, sales person still relentlessly tried to dig into why we were backing out and offering us “more cost effective options” that were never even hinted at during the initial consult where we were pressured to pay.
If this product is as good as they say they are, quality speaks for itself. Relying on scummy aggressive sales tactics instead raises suspicion about the product and sours the buying experience.
