Great dust extractor and compact, quiet and light enough to move around without risking an injury – Quiet and effective - worth the investment but you have to leave the budget gear on the shelf Show details · 1
short working time – The battery pack should be much stronger to extend working time of the vacuum cleaner.
It lives up to the hype – Coming from using a Ryobi shop vac, this is super quiet. I would still recommend wearing hearing protection though to be safe. A place to put the hose shows how well thought out this was. Changing the bag is easy and the filter is just on the side. So great. Highly recommended you get a Festool dust extractor. You won't be disappointed Show details · 1
Handy – It was light weight compared to the vacuum. But run time of 20 mins probably not long enough. I wish it was a hybrid like my festool sander.
Great vacuum but poor battery life – The quality of the vacuum and suction power is the same as the corded version but it only lasts 15 minutes on a full pair of batteries. Quite disappointed. Have to take the charger and 4 batteries on each job site.
Great Dust Extractor – For a long time I have beeb thinking about a dust extractor for my workshop as everything is covered in dust from the drop saw. I wanted na sander and was recommended to a Festool random orbital sander. I noted that this could be paired with a Festool dust extractor. As a handyman the CTM MIDI dust extractor is perfect and will also accommodate… Read more · 1
the outlet on my drop saw. I am pleased with the features on the MIDI and its suction power and portability. I have been using it on my boat to sand the decks powered by a generator. A good product.
no receive – Hello no have receive ctmc sysi 51 M class 18V …………. Show reply

MIDI excellent saw not so good – The saw I’ve purchased struggles with the hard wood I’m using! Show reply
Game changer for sanding – Dust extracted is surprisingly quiet for what it is and makes a massive difference to the quality of my sanding. Highly recommend Show details
Great extractor – This is my 6th Festool extractor to add to my fleet. I have 2 Midi extractors now. Show details
Perfect except for one thing… – I should start by saying this is a very impressive little Vac. I’ve named her Monica because she’s sucks like her name sake Monica Lewinsky haha.. On a more serious note, it work amazing with all of my tools, both battery and corded. My router table is now practically dust free, drilling holes in red brick is no longer a big clean up exercise… Read more · 1
and when linked with my Festool branded tools it excels in every catagory. My one and only complaint is when using my Dawalt table saw while plugged into the vac power outlet it keeps tripping out. Looking online people seemed to think it was a suction error but after realising the max power output falls short of the saws 2000kw I’m thinking it’s a low power issue. This can be worked around by using the Bluetooth remote and powering the saw directly for a power outlet but is still a little annoying because it means having to remove the remote from the vac hose each time you want to use the power saw or having to reach around behind the saw to turn the vac on and off.. first world problems I guess haha
Fantastic product – This machine is awesome. It has made a massive difference to the performance of the saw it connects too Great stuff Show details · 3

A tool you can depend on – Still have my first drywall sander and 36l vac. in 12 years ive only had to service the vac once brilliant. got the midi due to its size and weight as I do alot of double storey houses Show details
I almost cried when I paid but you really get what you pay for – I never thought I would ever pay that much for a vacuum but I was going to do a big renovation and my customer was wondering about the dust I was going to do. So after a lot of self debating I spent the $975 for the Festool. OMG, I had dust extraction before but it has never been so good, the sander can stick to the work piece or the wall, meaning… Read more
almost no dust around, I used it with the plunge saw and same results, I never got that kind of results with my old vac. But the good things don’t stop there, I am Makita all the way and I use the Makpac system and it is compatible with Festool systainer so I can mount my Makpac on the vacuum. I makes my life a lot easier, I can push everything together it fits nicely. It has the same footprint as the systainer and the hose fit in it too. Yes I almost cried when I purchase it but boy how good it works makes for every cents I paid. Other things to point out is the warranty, it gets registered when you buy it, so no issues, it covers everything for 3 years, even wear and tear. Now I am considering more Festool in my tools collection because of how good and easy to use they are. I haven’t tested the Bluetooth yet because I haven’t bought the remote but it’s coming soon so that would make my workflow even more efficient. The plugin for the tools work great and it’s fantastic not to have to switch on and off especially when you are on a ladder. That’s why the remote will come soon so I can use it with the battery tools.
Overall it’s an expensive vacuum, it’s ~$70 for 5 bags but I would not return it, everything fits in a Makpac 1 or systainer 1 so it’s easy to carry around. Because I am on the move all the time this size is perfect for me but if you stay a day or 2 in the same spot you might want to get the larger size. Last point, ball bearings casters, this thing glides and it’s fantastic, no risk of scratching a polish floor.
It works as intended but for the price, meh... No App functionality for Australians! – The Festool CTM MIDI works just as intended, but then so does my other shop vac at 1/3 the price. The included bluetooth on the MIDI is all but useless as you can't install the Festool Work app if you're in Australia and there is no remote included, even though it includes the bluetooth module built-in... That kind of screams rigged upgrade path to my mind.... Atleast make the app available to all countries or include atleast 1 remote. Show details · 1
Awesome dust extractor – I love this machine...great suction the operation with the power tools directly plug in works really well and the hose is above anything I've ever used before...I'd highly recommended this machine. Cons You have to purchase the handle which also includes holders for your wand and heads, in my view should be included. Also a bit pricey I thought. Maybe the wand and Heads could be more solid Show details
Beast! – Powerful, great all round use. Would recommend spending a bit more to get the self cleaning option but this one still works like a beast! Would highly recommend for any job. Show details
Awesome – Perfect little vacuum. Plenty of suction, bluetooth really helps with my workflow and the compact size makes it easy to carry on and off the job. As with all my other festool gear it is well made and well thought out. Couldn't be happier Show details
What Do You Hate - Cleaning Up! – Can sand for hours with almost zero mess. The 15l is fine for paint and wood; If you occasionally do plaster its probably fine. AutoClean and the 36l machine if you are REALLY generating a lot of dust. Show details
Great product – Great product, although a little frustrating trying to find abrasives for the sanders. Although overall pretty happy with the festool gear and definitely happier I'm not breathing in dust from sanding all day Show details · 1
Dust extractor – I found the new ctm midi to be a great machine, best vacuum on the market. my previous midi has served me well but a couple things pushed me to buying a new one. First the new suction hose with its sheathing on it works much better to not snag on the track, filter clearing lever works well too, lid works well for enclosing lead and hose. My only… Read more
problem would be with the long life bag the old design worked much better with an end opening bag rather than a centre opening lever, ive found you just have alot of trouble emptying it into a bag and get dust everywhere. I would be reviewing the design on that one. Cheers Mike

Can not be happier – Worth the extra! Brag every time I use and every time someone uses my track and vac. Best tools in my kit I will be adding to my Festool kit as dust extraction is priority
Briliant – Bloody brilliant. Taken 10 years to save up for using with my domino, but this vac and the Festool system is just awesome. You cry when you buy as they are top of the line but laugh for the next 10 or more years when you use them. Thank you. Show details
Great Unit – Work Fantastic. Even when attached to a non Festool tool. Save so much time cleaning up. The remote attached to the tool end of the hose is such a great idea. Show details
Awesome extractor – Awesome extractor, all the suction of the larger units but compact and great for site as its lite and easy to maneuver. Best part is it fits in the back of my PX Ranger under my hard lid without having to lay it on its side. The footprint is slightly larger than a Systainer. Show details
Works pretty good – Works great on floors, disappointed with the lack of attachments for the end of the hose, I can’t attach to any of my tools Needs skinny attachment or brush for hard to get spots Show details · 1
Makes Cleaning up the site and minimising mess 10x better – Never had a vacuum cleaner that attaches to my power tools, being able to do that now save a lot of time rather than having to clean up a bunch of mess at the end of the day Show details · 1
