We've enjoyed having Greencross Healthy Pet Plus for our two fur-kids (Eri and Reginald) as the cover period did provide us a peace of mind with the appointments and having the annual vaccination covered was a nice bonus. Didn't give 5 stars due to the cost per fur-kid.
Just like to give a big shout out to the staff at Greencross Vets Cleveland for attending to my dog Darcy when he recently lost his claw. What an amazing team. We got him treated straight away and now on the mend. They are quick to respond with advice and service when in need. The staff are friendly and helpful. Genuinely care about our fur babies.
Having Greencross healthy pet plus has made it so much easier with visits and Greencross is the best veterinary service I have used for my puppy Kandi especially when she gave us a scare with swallowing stuff she shouldn't.

HPP has been such a blessing. So worth the money to care for my pup. My vet bills are usually $0 or greatly reduced which is always such a win when the unexpected visits pop up. desexing and preventative healthcare. We had what felt like 101 questions (and probably another 101 after that!), but every single one was answered with patience, kindness and genuine care. We never felt rushed or silly for asking, and always left our appointments feeling more confident as puppy parents.
One of the best decisions we made was joining the Greencross Vets Healthy Pets Plus membership. It has more than paid for itself through unlimited standard consultations, annual vaccinations, complimentary nail trims, discounts on Ruby's desexing, savings on parasite prevention and selected pet food, and access to emergency consultations through Greencross' participating Animal Referral & Emergency Network hospitals. It has given us enormous peace of mind as first-time dog owners and has been exceptional value.
When Ruby unexpectedly became unwell one evening, we rushed her to Animal Emergency Service Woolloongabba for after-hours emergency treatment. It was incredibly reassuring to know her medical history was already available to the emergency team, and having the initial emergency consultation covered through our Healthy Pets Plus membership made an already stressful experience that little bit easier. The communication between the emergency team and Greencross Cannon Hill was seamless, and when we returned to our regular vet, they already knew exactly what had happened and continued her care without us having to explain everything from the beginning.
When Ruby was desexed at 6 months old, the level of care was simply outstanding. From the pre-operative consultation and thoroughly explaining the procedure, to the updates we received throughout the day while she was in surgery, her discharge appointment, follow-up examinations and phone calls to check on her recovery, every step reflected genuine compassion and incredible attention to detail. As first-time dog owners, that level of communication meant the world to us and gave us complete confidence that Ruby was receiving the very best care.
Ruby has just celebrated her first birthday, and one of the things that makes us smile most is that she genuinely loves going to the vet. It's something I never imagined I'd be able to say! Vet nurse Guy is, without question, her favourite. From the moment he walks into the waiting room, Ruby's whole body starts wagging. He has such a calm, gentle way with animals and always takes the time to make her feel safe, comfortable and completely at ease. Every veterinarian, veterinary nurse and receptionist we've met has been just as warm, knowledgeable and caring. They never make us feel like "just another appointment". Instead, they make us feel like Ruby is a patient they genuinely know and care about.
It's been an incredible first year with Ruby, and knowing we have a veterinary team we trust completely has made all the difference. Thank you to everyone at Greencross Vets Cannon Hill for taking such wonderful care of our little girl. Ruby gives you five very enthusiastic tail wags (and two-paws up!), and we happily give you 5 stars!!!!
We've been using Healthy Pets Plus for our dog and cat (Booker and Tomahawk) the last few years and it's worked out well for both preventative care and for any issues that have arisen. It helps us to manage our pet budget knowing what will be included for the year and that it will help reduce some of the ad hoc costs.

We joined 'Healthy Pets Plus' a year ago when we rescued 2yo staffy. We have always used our local Greencross for our previous fur babies. The staff and vets at Caulfield South have all been fantastic with their communication and care. Also, we have already saved hundreds of $$$s covering emergency care, vaccinations, regular health checks and covered the cost of having him de-sexed. highly recommended.
This is worth every cent we pay each month. Our doggo Luna hates getting her nails cut so every time her nails an are long I get it done at the vet. Because we have the health pets plus it cost near to nothing to go and bonus Luna is not mad at me for once. She mad at the vet. One very happy dog owner Saskia

The 24/7 WebVet feature in particular has been so helpful for us when adjusting to having a new dog and ensuring that he could access care immediately when needed at no additional cost. The service we have received at Greencross Craigieburn has been outstanding. Very good cover to have. It’s nice knowing I can bring my cats Bella & Bambi in if I’m concerned with anything and it’s covered with the healthy pets plus. Also good for yearly vaccinations and regular checkups.

We've genuinely had a great experience and haven't encountered any of the issues others have mentioned. The membership has worked exactly as we hoped.
As Rocky gets older, we'll likely keep our Healthy Pets Plus membership and pair it with pet insurance so we have even more comprehensive cover. Healthy Pets Plus has been fantastic for preventative care, while insurance will help cover the things this membership doesn't.
For us, they've never been competitors. They've been two pieces of the puzzle.
If you're bringing home a new puppy or simply want to make routine vet care more affordable, I'd definitely recommend Healthy Pets Plus.

excellent way to ensure that you never have to worry about the cost of taking your pet to the vet for any reason. I’m sure that most people would do anything for their fur babies, but not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to afford regular vet visits. Paying a small fortnightly amount covers so much (including the consultation portion of the dreaded visit to the emergency vet once a year that we have unfortunately had to use twice over the years) and provides peace of mind that you always have the basics covered. My adult children both have pets in the program and I tell every pet owner I know about it. I hope this program stays in place ongoing, as I know I’ll be using it for the rest of my life as a person who knows they’ll always have multiple pets at any given time.

Miss Chelsea 17 years old .. was going to be discarded after years of constant pregnancies.. we got her in the middle of Covid.. she has had pancreaitis twice and survived.. now blind and virtually deaf but the love of my life.. she is now on fortnightly visits... Master Charlee.. 2 years old.. at 6 weeks peed inside then thrown outside for the next 15 months.. no bed or shelter.. food thrown to him.. one big matt ball weighed 3.8 kg matted.. weighed 1.2 after I finished cutting the matt off him.. he loves the team at Moorooka..I say to everyone with furbabies.. join HPP.. they are fantastic.. my friends that have joined say it is the best thing they as well as myself have done for our fur bubbas.. I (Holly) have always been really happy with Greencross Healthy Pets Plus. Both my cats Louie and Sylvie, have ongoing health issues that need regular check ups and having the monthly payment spreads out the costs to make it easier for me to pay for everything. With the perks, every year of joining has been worth it.
It is a great value program if you're vets is close by. Our local Greencross vets seems to struggle to actually keep a vet on staff, so now have to go to another greencross vets further away which is extremely busy because they've had to pick up the slack
I have a generally healthy pup who every now and then will get an ear infection (ball dunking in the local parks water bucket) or will hurt herself hurtling after fore-mentioned ball and pull a muscle… so I have more than saved money used the pet plus. Having someone on call who can also advise on a local 24/7 vet was a relief and made life less stressful. Can’t recommend the service enough, will be renewing!
