I recommend getting your own socket wrench, you will thank me, as ones supplied are what you would expect, you’ll save time and frustrations. Just buya $7 socket wrench from Bunnings. The pulley system is smooth The smith machine is smooth The rack is sturdy The attachments are decent Everything about this machine is 10/10 Maybe a 9/10 on attachments, but thats a personal preferences. The staff at Gym and Fitness were amazing. They were very responsive and willing to work with us to enable shipping all the way to Japan (the Assault Bike Pro X is not available here). that my photos looks like a normal wear and tear. So if you buy a weighted vest from this company for a few hundreds of dollars be ready that it falls apart within a few months and you will have to buy a new one. I purchased the vest in November, my husband had health issues and started to use the vest only in January, a few times a week at home by himself for 15 min at the time. So really, hasn't used it that much. Would never buy anything from them again and strongly recommend to avoid purchasing anything from this company.

I had a small issue with a 5 kg plate that was damaged during transport. I contacted customer support, and they immediately sent me a replacement. I received it in Canberra within just two days. I also had a small issue after 8 months with 2 (screw)parts because of my own mistake. I contacted them and they responded quickly, solved the problem and sent me the spare parts I needed.

Overall, I’m extremely happy with the equipment, quality and especially the customer service. You don’t have to worry about being left without support or spare parts like with some other companies.

will build your posterior chain like this piece of equipment. Forget it. This is it. It is exactly as advertised...and better! It comes packed securely and it comes together as expected following the easy-to-follow user manual. I would strongly advise you have access to a tool set with a reversible ratchet and metric socket set. This is a full commercial grade bench and therefore deserves the respect of the proper tool set to put together. of the freestyle pullies so the tandem tower it was. No issues using it for the standard functional Lat & Low Rows but having the freestyle arms is a game changer for versatility. Highly recommend upgrading the weight stack too! Instructions weren’t clear with the additional weight stack, so I had some additional slack in the cables which frustrated the hell out of me but thanks to Super Dan, the best GAF warranty agent ever seen he quickly guided me through the issue and had it sorted. The team at GAF were always helpful with any questions, I’ll be using them for future gym gear purchases!!

Bought the Force USA compact leg-press hack-squat. Sales rep Dan was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Leg-press arrived very quickly. There are some minor scratches on the finish. fair deal considering the amount and value of equipment we purchased. Anne and Jonathan were always responsive via phone and email and were easy to deal with throughout the process.

I also appreciated that they are a legitimate Australian business based in Queensland and not just some random online storefront. That gave me confidence when making such a large purchase.

Now, I do need to mention the one major hiccup in the process, which was the freight company, Mainfreight.

To be clear, I do not blame Gym and Fitness Australia for this, but it absolutely affected the overall experience.

Before delivery, I specifically contacted Gym and Fitness to confirm that delivery directly into my garage would not be an issue due to the height and width restrictions at the driveway entrance. I provided photos and CCTV screenshots of the driveway and access point and was advised there would be no problem.

The delivery itself became very stressful.

The shipment arrived in Sydney on a Friday and was marked for delivery that day. I took annual leave from work to receive it. Nobody arrived and nobody contacted me. When I called Mainfreight after lunch, they advised the shipment had been sitting in their depot since 8am.

Then on Monday, after taking another day off work, I was told there was an “issue” with the freight. Eventually Jonathan investigated and discovered Mainfreight were now claiming there were access issues and wanted an additional $400 to arrange a third party delivery service.

After more discussions, Mainfreight later admitted the real issue was that they were struggling to secure a smaller truck and pallet jack suitable for the driveway restrictions.

The delivery was eventually pushed to Friday, a full week after arriving at the Sydney depot, meaning I had to take three separate days off work instead of one.

Even then, the driver arrived alone and expected me to help move the equipment. He initially claimed he couldn’t get the pallet jack down the driveway despite the access being completely manageable. After some convincing, he carefully manoeuvred it through without issue.

There is a reason Mainfreight has poor reviews online. My honest recommendation to future buyers is to request that Gym and Fitness use an alternative freight provider if possible.

Again though, I want to stress that Jonathan handled the situation professionally throughout and stayed in contact while trying to work through the issue.

Now onto the equipment itself.

The Force USA G12 is outstanding.

It genuinely feels like having a full commercial gym at home once paired with a bench, dumbbells and a barbell. The machine is incredibly solid and well built. I was worried it might feel rattly or cheap due to how much functionality is packed into it, but it absolutely does not.

The pulleys are smooth, the finish quality is excellent, and everything arrived very well protected in a large wooden crate with extensive wrapping and padding. The black powder coating looks fantastic and overall the machine feels premium.

If I had one criticism, it would be the instructions. They are honestly quite confusing at times. My dad and I ended up using an older G12 build video on YouTube alongside the manual to figure things out.

That said, once we took our time, the build went smoothly enough. Including laying mats, cutting flooring, vacuuming the garage, arranging dumbbell racks and fully assembling the G12, the total project took us roughly 16 hours.

The Force USA Pro Series Barbell is also excellent. Packaging was very good, the knurling feels comfortable without being overly aggressive, and the black finish looks sharp. Time will tell how it wears long term, but first impressions are extremely positive.

The VersaFit commercial rubber flooring also exceeded expectations. The mats are flat, dense, comfortable underfoot and have very little smell. I had read plenty of horror stories online about gym flooring odour lingering for weeks, but that simply was not the case for us.

Most importantly, my wife and I absolutely love the gym we’ve built.

I’ve wanted a home gym for over 20 years but never had the space or budget to make it happen. We still get excited every time we walk into the garage to train.

With the G12 as the centrepiece, plus a bench, barbell and dumbbells from 2.5kg through to 40kg, we can realistically do almost everything we’d normally do in a commercial gym, right from home.

Thank you to the Gym and Fitness Australia team for helping us finally make that dream happen.

There was a slight delay in delivery due to the holiday break, which is understandable. During this time, Danica truly went above and beyond in resolving an issue with my weight stack upgrade that was delayed due to courier miscommunication and mishandling. She showed great professionalism, kept me informed, and made every effort to find solutions and ensure the items were eventually delivered to me.

Overall, it was a very pleasant transaction, and I’m extremely happy with both the service and the products. Great customer support, great equipment, and a company that genuinely tries to look after its customers. Highly recommended!
