They are a scam . What is portrayed on their website is not who they are. The Manager at Belmont is just not nice and sympathetic. who was pushing the guy to hurry up and move on to the next client came with a fee of $ 209. For what? I get that you spent time with me but being so unempathetic and charging me that fees despite I didn't lodge my return that was cruel and in human . They dont care , they just about the money they get from you. Yet they display on their website expert tax return. Its all a scam. You better off DIY if you can. Appalling lack of knowledge in relation to allowed deductions for my line of work despite the ATO using my industry as an example. Unfortunately I paid them upfront and as the advisor would not claim my correct deduction I told them not to proceed with filing my return. They would not refund my money.

The process appears to be geared towards having customers sign and lodge their tax return during the initial appointment, without allowing sufficient time to locate receipts or supporting documentation that could justify additional deductions. of the appointment, my correspondence was ignored. I ultimately had to escalate the matter to the branch manager (multiple calls and emails), then the state office (multiple calls and emails), and finally the national office before even receiving a response. At that point, I was advised that an additional fee would apply to lodge an amended return.

The advertised guarantee that no deductions will be missed feels misleading. Customers are required to sign a waiver, which seems to significantly limit the value of that guarantee.

I was also disappointed by the handling of their complimentary apps, such as Receipt Hub and Spend Tracker. Withdrawing these tools at short notice creates unnecessary inconvenience for customers who rely on them for record-keeping. If an app is being discontinued, it would be far more reasonable to align the change with the start of a new financial year (01-July) and provide several months' advance notice so users can make alternative arrangements.

Also expect a lot of spam emails from them. There is no specific OPT-IN process, they just subscribe you.

I'm loving the new add. Nooot. Ppl get 24% discount on their tax returns lollllll. I have to pay over $300 for business and I'm a tiny business owner not working that much and still they whack me $300. Probably gone up since I started doing my tax myself. One size fits all is not good for h & r block. Ridiculous.

I contacted H & R block to make an appointment. Joy Paterson is closest to my location at Carindale in Brisbane. She gave me a time slot for the very next day despite it being the busiest time of the year for doing tax returns. Joy was so helpful and efficient. She is also very friendly. We have been using H&R block online for years with no issue how however this year they took more than double the fee out if my husbands return and claimed it was for 2024 and 2025 tax when he only submitted 2025, 2024 had already been paid the previous year when he did his tax and it makes no sense to take double for the previous year when it had… Read more

Very poor service differing information with each phone conversation. Waited a year for return only to discover that tax return has been unlodged. Very dissatisfied will Not be using HR block again. No explanation No follow-up No answers. Don't bother

Just had my tax done by the Bendigo office. Fast, friendly and cheaper than I thought it would be, which was an added bonus. Got a great return with a minimum of fuss. Second year they have done my tax and they will be doing it again next year. Absolutely would recommend. Show reply

H&R made a dogs breakfast of last years tax return which should have been straight forward and here we are a year later with ATO still chasing us THEY HAVE NO CLUE. incompetent office. I actually don’t like doing this ! but it has to be said. Seriously go elsewhere, Professionals… Don’t make me laugh ! Rotating door of accountants that have done a crash course in accounting. I could go into more detail but hopefully this is enough to get point across. Go to a more reputable Tax agency.
