What a shame there is no negative stars. They don't even rate one star. I bid on a 2013 campervan at Carrara, I stupidly paid before going to pick it up. When I arrived I checked the details and it was a 2003 import and full of rust. I asked for a refund. After about 3 weeks they finally agreed to refund my money. That was in July this year.… Read more
After many emails (most of them ignored) I gave up and contacted the fair trade Ombudsman. about a week and a half after this, the money appeared in my account on the 7th of September. If you expect to be treated like a valued customer (I have bought from them before) you may as well forget about it. I will never buy from them ever again as they only want your money but don't want to refund if they make a mistake. Get your act together Lloyds.

As a seller of multiple items at Lloyd's in the last 3 months, anything that sells for $20, you will not receive a dollar. They have sold nearly $1000 of my items and I have not received anything. I may as well have taken my items to the dump. They charge a photo fee and then a labour fee, which is basically $20 per item. Commission is then… Read more
charged over $20. Unfortunately all my items sold for $20, so zip. I did have some sell for say $26, but I still haven't seen any money in 3 months. Also I dropped off 2 rare mounted music posters at Acacia Ridge last year and they have lost them. I've asked numerous times where are they, with no answer. So do not list with Lloyd's

I love auctions, flicking thru looking for treasures.. but Lloyds has really left a bad taste in my mouth from the past few deals.. the Ford station wagon i won yesterday has topped the lot tho.. cost me over $2100 to drive it away from there, started nice, trans worked good, so far, so good?! 5 mins later, I am at the lights and I see smoke/steam… Read more
coming out of the exhaust, (it was about 18-20 degrees outside, so it's not cold).. checked it when I got home (surprised I made it, cos it was running terribly by the time I got home 25-30min later)... and guess what? Full of custard. Its got a blown head or gasket.. the POS already cost me as much as any of this POS could have if I bought it privately, now I need a new head and/or head gasket.. I think that something REALLY IMPORTANT like that should be disclosed on their lot listing if they insist on selling it to people for really $$. Being an online auction they must know that a lot of people can't inspect in person and should expect it and act accordingly! For example, today I was screwed around around for ages trying to get rego cos they couldn't provide me with the old plate number, was told it came in without plates and the PPSR that they done didnt have a plate number either.. after too many calls to their crap AI call answering service, [Name Removed] done some digging and provided me the plate number. Why it can't be supplied to EVERY person who buys a car from there cos I am sure this crap happens with EVERY CAR SOLD WITHOUT PLATES (ie. all cars?).. well, I picked up the car and it had BOTH ORIGINAL PLATES STILL ON THE CRAP POS!!
I could go on and on, but there is today's and my final transaction with them.. wanna hear about last week's? I won 3x NIKE sneakers the finally arrived 10 days later from QLD (after 6 days of it NOT getting sent after payment) and I have only 2× NIKE sneakers!! One of their dog workers has stolen a pair of my crap NIKE shoes!! TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, BOTH PAIRS WERE OBVIOUS COUNTERFEIT SHOES, it wasn't obvious on their pathetic image platform that doesnt even allow a real zoom with any sort of definition.. everything about this company is horrendous. One time i won a set of alpine split speakers, looked old but unopened and the perfect odd size for my car so I got em.. opened it up, and the "rubber" part of it just disintergrated at the touch.. someone put the old ruined speakers in the box, put the cover they didnt use on top, wrapped em and sold em at lloyds, to me. No splits were in the box either, just the trashed stock speakers from something. And lately they try to force high starting bids, and only allow it to go up by increasing amounts instead of letting u start anywhere and go up how u wish to.. its definitely the most greedy therefore the worst of all Adelaide's auction houses.. I almost forgot about their AI nonsense phone answering system, its an insult to their customers as u just continually get cut off, cos there's "no one available in car sales at the moment", @3pm in the avo.. its a disgrace and just further testament to how low the respect towards their customers really is.
I want to to know about my car that was actioned but no one returned my calls don’t know if sold or not

Excessive use of distasteful & disgusting AI – I spotted the use of this disgusting AI usage in your classic car auctions, examples below:https://www.lloydsonline.com.au/LotDetails.aspx?stype=0&smode=0&aid=57733&lid=5187256 https://www.lloydsonline.com.au/LotDetails.aspx?stype=0&smode=0&aid=57733&lid=5195587 https://www.lloydsonline.com.au/LotDetails.aspx?stype=0&smode=0&aid=57733&lid=5183252… Read more

The use of AI like this is extremely distasteful. I understand the need to automate processes to reduce staff and labor expenses but this is excessive and honestly disgusting. The AI does not need to be used here, it could be simply automated, I don't need some "old man who suits the demographic of this ad" to explain to me why HE, as an ARTIFICIAL person enjoys that car... It adds nothing to the value of the auction itself, no one wants that. Then, I contacted the number provided on the auctions for the corporate support for Lloyds Auctions and 3 of the 4 lines immediately went to voicemail, and the only line that did go through immediately met me with MORE AI, an AI voice that can't comprehend my actual concerns but will instead just repeat back to me what I say, like most AI live chatbots for websites. I try to go past it and it refuses until I give it a "valid reason to help get a support person", I don't need to explain myself to a robot, it should automatically send me through to a human the second it's mentioned. I am not saying all of this as an AI hater or anything, I actually think the use of it is quite interesting and can have some innovative uses, and this is all coming from the perspective of a mid 20's IT Technician with a speciality in Process Automation and Business Analysis. However, what you are doing is extremely distasteful and disgusting.
Quote “21 business days” which is 3 weeks to have you paid! It’s now day 31, 24 business days and I am still waiting. Then the ONLY person I got an email from tries to lie and say 21-28 business days- I asked for a screenshot of where it says 28 days on any website and no reply. No customer service. No accounts payable by the looks of it. And clearly using customers money for other interests. Absolute scam. DO NOT USE LLOYDS

I have been dealing mainly as a buyer with Lloyd's Auctions at Acacia Ridge and Carrara for near 13 years and I have spent a lot of money over that time with Lloyd's. satisfied with the service Lloyd's provides. Just a couple of days ago I had to pick up a small genset I purchased and the Staff were exceptional from Acacia Ridge, particularly Naveen and Adam and the young fellow at the office who's name I forgot sorry. In my opinion the key to ANY successful auction purchase is the golden rule of doing your own research and determining your maximum spend prior. Of course, the more complex the item may be (particularly cars) the more cautious one should be. Thanks Lloyd's for the service you have provided which I do appreciate.

dealt with at Lloyds who is trying to help but doesn't seem to be getting anywhere. Contract states 7-21 business days for payment well it has been well and truly longer than that now and still no funds. We signed up to auction the lego off and after auction finished no communication. Lloyd's is a joke that takes people for a ride. Will definitely never use again and would advise people think twice before using them to sell stuff. They also say commission is 20% but hey let's take more than 50% of your sales.

If you are considering buying a vehicle through Lloyds Auctions, proceed with extreme caution. My recent experience purchasing a Nissan Juke via their online auction was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. Before bidding, I thoroughly checked the listing, read the description, reviewed all photos, and watched the video. I won the auction, paid promptly as per their terms and conditions, and arranged a car transporter for collection. That’s where the trouble began: Collection Chaos: When my transport driver arrived, there was no key. Staff had apparently taken it home in their pocket. Completely Misrepresented Vehicle: When the car was delivered three days later, it was nothing like the auction listing. It arrived with sun-burnt paint, ripped interior trim, a torn front bumper bar, damaged lower radiator, no service books, a dead flat battery, and was absolutely filthy inside and out. Non-Existent Customer Service: Trying to reach anyone at Lloyds is virtually impossible. I sent numerous emails and left countless voicemails—zero response. Even after obtaining the mobile number for the manager at the Thomastown site, it was a battle to get a hold of him. Zero Accountability: When I finally spoke to the manager, his attitude was that it was my problem, not theirs, claiming I should have inspected it in person regardless of how misleading their official listing was. He refused to even review the original listing against the photos of what was delivered. Breakdown on the Highway: To top it off, while driving the vehicle back from Port Melbourne to Thomastown, it broke down on the Tullamarine Freeway, forcing me to pay out of pocket to have it towed back to them. After putting me through complete hell, they finally agreed to a refund. However, it took an agonizing 4 weeks to hit my account, and that was only after pushing them relentlessly every single day. Appalling misrepresentation, shocking lack of accountability, and customer service that is practically non-existent. Save yourself the stress and money—do not buy from Lloyds Auctions. 1

I would not recommend buying anything from Lloyds Auctions. My experience has been one of the worst consumer experiences I've ever had. Before buying from this company, read the negative reviews, not just the positive ones. Pay close attention to the recurring themes and decide whether you're willing to take that risk.
In my opinion, this has been an incredibly frustrating and costly experience. I will never buy from Lloyds Auctions again and will be warning everyone I know to look elsewhere. One purchase has cost me thousands of dollars, countless hours, and an enormous amount of stress. Craig the so called customer service manager at Gold coast is an arrogant, abusive scammer. This company needs to be shut down.
I had successfully used Lloyds Auctions for eight previous auctions without any significant issues, which is why my most recent experience was so disappointing. commission anyway, taking just under $3,000 from the proceeds.
The problems did not stop there. Lloyds also failed to pay the funds ($8,000) within their stated 21-day payment period after the auction ended. It ultimately took three months to receive payment, despite repeated attempts to resolve the matter.
During those three months, I sent more than 30 emails, most of which received generic responses stating that the matter had been "escalated". Numerous phone calls were made, and I repeatedly requested to speak with management, but no one returned my calls.
The only time the issue appeared to gain any traction was after Channel 7 Perth ran a news story and contacted Lloyds regarding the matter. Shortly after that, payment was finally made however the commission has still not been refunded.
After being a repeat customer and trusting Lloyds with multiple auctions over several years, this experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing. Based on my experience, I would never use Lloyds Auctions again and cannot recommend them to others.
This is not an isolated incident, search their reviews.

Bought a 1995 R33 Skyline based on Lloyds’ description of a “properly engineered” refreshed engine, premium $26k respray, and low verifiable 90k km. Reality: Critically low compression (70-100 PSI), painted-over body cracks, cluster removed (odometer unverifiable), and other major undisclosed defects. Clear false advertising. Paid in full. Multiple emails and calls to refund team — total silence for weeks. Zero customer service.
Absolutely the worst experience with these lowlife bunch of scumbags. Total liars and have no accountability for there actions. Don't ever deal with this disgusting excuse for an auction house
