They are not useful generally for families with children as they can’t be used during holidays, long weekends etc. Recently we have found that the price they advertise for the package is hugely inflated and last one we used it would have been cheaper if we had just directly booked. I think the price they say the package is worth is sometimes inflated to make it look like a better deal, and unfair comparison because they say the package is worth what it would be if you booked at peak times whereas you often cant use the package at peak times so its not comparing apples with apples. I think i will still keep an eye out for a good deal but be careful that you compare what the REAL price of package would be, especially when you take into account you usually cant use vouchers at peak times. We have also had some bids that are in the running and then at the end it says you’ve not won but you get a phone call offering you a package for a higher price than you bid. If your lower bid was in the running and the auction finishes you should be able to get the package for your lower bid rather than what they then contact you with. A bit of a sneaky way to get more out of your bid.

contain faults." I accepted that there was a risk they might not work.
However, what I did not expect was the extremely poor packaging. All four monitors were packed together in one large, very heavy box with no foam, padding, or protective material separating them. As a result, they were free to move around and knock against each other during transport, making damage almost unavoidable.
I opened the box at the collection site before leaving, and all four monitors were already physically damaged. The damage was immediately visible, so it was clear it had occurred before I took them away.
Another issue was that the listing used stock photos instead of actual photos of the items being sold. Had the listing shown the real condition of the monitors and how they would be packed, I would not have bid on the auction.
When I collected the items, a staff member even warned me not to buy products described as "untested, may have faults" because they are often not worth purchasing, and suggested I only buy items eligible for return. That conversation made the experience even more disappointing.
I'm not complaining because the monitors were untested—that risk was clearly stated. My concern is that reasonable care should still be taken when packing items for transport. Regardless of whether an item is tested or untested, customers should expect it to be packaged in a way that does not cause additional damage.
Unfortunately, Grays declined to offer any resolution.
I hope this review helps other buyers understand the risks before bidding. If you're considering purchasing fragile items from Grays, especially those listed as "untested," be aware that the packaging may not provide adequate protection, and you could receive items that have been damaged before you even leave the collection site.

From their website: "If you apply for a Insured Delivery plan, in the unlikely event that the product is damaged or lost, the amount incurred based on the coverage set by Buyee will be refunded."
The item arrived in damaged condition with woefully thin packaging protection and it had looked like it was treated like a football by the couriers. Additionally, while the Yahoo Auctions listing stated the item was working, it arrived DOA, likely due to the physical damage suffered during shipping.
My insurance claim with Buyee was denied on the basis that the damage was "expected" for a vintage second hand item despite my photos showing clearly how the cardboard box had split and how minimal the protective packaging was. I quote:
・Damage that do not appear to have been caused in transit based on the appearance of the package ・Defects due to aging (The item was listed as "Rank C" on the product page, which explicitly noted that signs of use, age-related wear, minor damage, or missing parts may be present. Furthermore, the item was manufactured around 1970–1980.)
Buyee have engaged in fraudulent and misleading conduct by stating that my item would be protected by inspection and insured delivery coverage. They have denied my claim by trying to fall back on "the item is old" argument.
Compare this to other providers I have used - Zenmarket and Doorzo who have gracefully repackaged my item in case the original packaging was inadequate.
A warning for anybody who is considering paying for a Buyee plan - it's a scam.

they are eBay authenticated, how would you feel when you see the badges? My feeling was okay, they look trustful as eBay endorsed them. I got a re-manufactured laptop from one. The laptop died completely in 3 months. It cannot restart. No light is on when the charging cable is connected, including the charging power light aside the usb-c charging port. The seller sent me a return label and I returned it for warranty process. I have no idea how long it would be. What I know it the return will take one week to get to the seller. I wanted to have refund as I need another one as soon as possible for my everyday use. I contacted eBay for assistance. They said it's between me and the seller and out of their work as "they are only a platform" and "it is outside 30-day money back guaranty period". My response was eBay endorsed the seller, with eBay authenticated re-manufacturer badge, however you use the same policy for everyone to orders placed with your specifically endorsed sellers. When there is an issue, you use the policy telling me it's between me and the seller and your are only a platform.
RIDICULOUS!!! eBay, you really deserve 1.4 stars!!!

Before buying from this company, read the negative reviews, not just the positive ones. Pay close attention to the recurring themes and decide whether you're willing to take that risk.
In my opinion, this has been an incredibly frustrating and costly experience. I will never buy from Lloyds Auctions again and will be warning everyone I know to look elsewhere. One purchase has cost me thousands of dollars, countless hours, and an enormous amount of stress. Craig the so called customer service manager at Gold coast is an arrogant, abusive scammer. number of occasions I have driven final sale prices higher through active bidding, even where I was not the successful bidder.
On one previous occasion, I arrived on a Saturday to collect an item I had won and between leaving home and arriving for collection, a “storage” fee had appeared. The staff member removed it immediately, explaining that the fee is typically added late Saturday if items remain uncollected and no one turns up. She said as I was clearly there to pick it up, she was removing the charge. That made sense.
This time, I purchased a small lot of copper coins (value $20) so my kids could see what currency used to look like. The auction was dated 6 January 2026 and occurred across the Christmas period. I was working, but I PAID on 9 January (no collection fee had been added) and booked collection for Monday 12 January using their system.
No storage fee appeared on Saturday, either.
On Sunday — when they are closed and collection is not permitted — I received an email advising that a $20 “storage” fee had been added and instructing me to collect the item immediately. Odd, given I had booked using their own system. The instruction to collect immediately was an override of my booking via their system, apparently, as I was meant to pick it up immediately even though they were closed.
Their own terms distinguish between:
• Clause 1.2 — $5 per lot per day if not collected within 48 hours of the auction date. • Clause 2.5 — flat storage fees (1–5 lots = $20) only where items are left unpaid & uncollected. (*note, "UNPAID")
They refer to both clauses in terms of collection.
My ITEM was PAID. Collection had been booked. It was not unpaid & uncollected.
If Clause 1.2 applied, that is a $5 per day calculation if they were being rigid — not a flat $20. If Clause 2.5 applied, the trigger condition was not met.
Separately, the $20 “storage” charge bears no obvious relationship to any actual storage cost. The collection area is open and accessible. The item was low-value and required no special handling. The storage fee equalled the value of the item itself.
Nevertheless, I was required to pay $20 to retrieve a $20 item. I queried the charge on several occasions and they insisted on the full "storage charge" of $20. It was not removed.
They have lost a loyal customer. I have previously spruiked them to various people on social media.

when I had my first dispute.
I purchased a black Nike ski mask for an upcoming snow trip. Several days after my purchase, the seller finally contacted me and admitted they had run out of stock. They asked if I wanted a different item instead.
I declined and immediately requested a refund.
Instead of processing the refund, the seller later changed their story and claimed they had found the item after all. By that stage, I had already purchased the same item from Amazon because I needed it before my trip. I requested a refund again before the seller shipped anything.
The seller ignored my repeated refund requests and sent the item anyway.
The item eventually arrived after my snow trip had already finished, making it completely useless for the purpose I purchased it.
I escalated the matter to Depop, expecting them to review the message history. The messages clearly showed that I had requested a refund multiple times before the item was dispatched because the seller had originally admitted they couldn't supply the item I ordered.
Instead, Depop simply closed the dispute once the tracking showed the parcel was moving. They completely overlooked the reason for the dispute. The issue was never whether the item would eventually arrive. The issue was that the seller admitted they didn't have the item, then ignored multiple refund requests before dispatching it anyway.
To make matters worse, I left an honest one-star review describing exactly what had happened. The seller complained, and Depop removed my review. What concerns me most is that Depop admitted my review did not breach their Feedback Policy, yet they removed it anyway. If honest, factual reviews can be removed simply because a seller doesn't like them, it raises serious questions about the integrity of the platform's review system.
The most disappointing part of this experience wasn't the seller. It was Depop's customer support. Responses felt automated, the actual facts were overlooked, and there was little effort to investigate the timeline despite the evidence being available in the message history.
Based on my experience, the platform works fine until something goes wrong. When it does, don't expect customer support to properly assess the situation.

"winnings", they suddenly have problems accepting payments; "failed payment" prompts appear advising to contact Customer Support. Who then question your ability to pay and ask if you have enough money!.
Continuous delays and excuses follow for not delivering the item "won" and paid for: "technical problems", "logistic issues", "backlog". Bottom line: NO ITEMS DELIVERED (since August 2016) but still being actively auctioned.
RED FLAG: suspect computer generated bidders or insiders are used as there are at least 4 consistent "winners" who win identical products repeatedly in all auctions.
Complaints to customer support are useless as they have no authority. After months of requesting, demanding and escalating complaints I finally got through to a "Manager"- [name removed] - who failed to follow through, refused to respond to emails, then I was LOCKED out of my account. All money and bids placed lost. My ID still appears as a bidder and as a previous winner (despite having no access to credits paid to my account or having received any won items.
Further Misrepresentation to the Public include delays which mislead you into thinking that something is being done, "please be patient" is only a tactic to surpass the time limit for reporting complaints to Credit Card Companies for intervention.
Bidtoro site shows they abide by a "code of conduct". It's certainly not any professional or legal code as there is NO TRANSPARENCY, hallmarks of Fraud, breach of Civil Law and Trading Standards.
The reporting and escalation process is convoluted and designed to frustrate consumers. The site leads the public to believe they are an Australian company when in fact they are a subsidiary of an umbrella company based in Isreal. The show the "Operator and Management" Systematic Trade Ltd is located in Leigh on the Sea (U.K.) but they actually operate out of Gibraltar which isn't governed by U.K. Laws.
If anyone knows how to start a Class Action Suit, count me in.
DISGUSTING!!!

they fail to disclose that there is a reserve price and that their vendors hold firm prices on the products that go to auction. As the highest bidder all you achieve is being able to further negotiate on a set reserve advised after the auction. Its basically like selling their vehicle on carsales but a scam to get people interested by starting the auction at low prices to attract buyers. The price of a vehicle is about the same if you were to buy the vehicle from a dealership. In fact, you are probably better off buying from a dealership seeing you get a statutory warranty, on road costs and a reputable business. Woody told me if I wasnt willing to move on my highest bid then there were other dealers willing to pay what their vendor was wanting. Mind you the vendor is the government which makes perfect sense why they are willing to do anything about these shonky auctioneers who are misleading and dont follow the guidelines.
