An amazing product when it works… cuts our lawns beautifully, on a schedule, makes life so much easier, however the system has many issues, constantly getting caught or trapped which needs human intervention. That is understandable, what isn’t is when you send your unit back for repair. I’ve purchased 2 x Luba 2 and also have a test Luba 3, all need repair. Luba 3 was sent back middle of Jan… one of the Luba 2s is due for pickup, which is taking weeks, and the other Luba 2, I’m still waiting on the service department to advise what is wrong and when it can be sent back.

3 machines, all busted and needing repair or replacement. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed.

Purchased in for $8,000.

I purchased the mower about 12 months ago. Getting the mower setup to perform properly takes some time, particularly if you have a lot of no go zone areas. When the Luba 2 AWD is working, it does quite a good job. The problem is within the 12 months, the mower has failed twice and the power bank has failed on one occasion. Whilst the mower is being repaired under warranty, the main problem is the length of time they take to repair. As I write this review, my mower has been in their possession for repair now 12 days and they haven’t even looked at fault. The biggest issue I see with these mowers is a lack of National Service Centres. Any repair goes to a Centre in Queensland and they are uncontactable. They don’t answer emails and they don’t provide updates. I would suggest while these mowers perform as described, you will be very frustrated should the mower require warranty repair.

Follow-up  · The power bank was replaced. Took maybe 10-12 days to replace. Set up for each no go zone doesn't take to long. You map the area you want to mow, then include the no go zones. Probably only 1 minute for each zone. Second fault for mower indicated cutting disk jammed. This message in my opinion was not accurate. From there, the entire mower shut down. The mower has still not been returned under repair/warranty. They don't tend to inform you of the fault. Uncontactable by email or phone. I have been reporting everything through the company I purchased. They have been good, repairer very poor.

Purchased in for $4,800.

I gave this robot mower five stars four months ago when I first bought it and had used it twice. Unfortunately, after four months, I have reduced my rating to ONE star. First, I believe the robot mowing technology is not yet mature enough. It works, but it is not perfect. Occasionally it loses satellite signals, and its new beta iNavi feature doesn't work at all. Second, the company operates from Hong Kong and has no physical presence in Australia. All support is handled via email, even if you call their 1800 number and speak to a real person — they will simply log your problem in their system and follow up by email. This is time-consuming and takes at least 24 hours per response.

Third, I have had serious problems with their support team, both through their official Facebook group and their email support system. Their Facebook group will delete your posts if they don't want other customers to see them. My post was a simple one asking what I should do, as all communication with them had suddenly been blocked.

The full story is as follows:

My warranty claim was confirmed on 5 March and a replacement part was promised — yet shipment was repeatedly delayed under the excuse that their Australian service system was "undergoing upgrades." My follow-up attempts in early April were blocked, and my posts in their official Facebook group were deleted without explanation. On 10 April, their support team again promised to send the part. I confirmed my agreement the same day. On 15 April, I was incorrectly told I had not responded and that my case would be closed — later blamed on a "system error." After all of this, they are now changing the process entirely, requiring me to return the machine for repair — adding another 10–14 days. This should have been communicated from the very beginning. I have now completely lost confidence in Mammotion's ability and willingness to honour its commitments.

I am also deeply concerned about their request to return my $5,000 machine before a replacement is dispatched. They have my address and phone number — they know my location — yet they have no physical presence in Australia. If I return the machine and Mammotion again fails to communicate or follow through, I have no practical recourse. I cannot recover my money or my machine through local authorities given their offshore operation. I also offered to drop the machine off personally at their repair and service centre, and they refused.

Purchased in for $4,749.

Have owned this mower for a year now, and it's been nothing but trouble. Often powers off for no apparent reason, and gives no notification for this. Discs and blades get jammed with grass frequently and need to be removed and cleaned (I expect this to happen, but it's pretty much every mow). Discs are plastic and weak and have had to replace a couple. Often gets stuck, even in zones marked as no go. Has occasionally completely left my mapped areas, once found it a couple of hundred meters down the road. Difficult to get support, I gave up and am just trying to make the most of it.

Recently started to fail to dock - appears to be a problem with the charging station.

The tech has potential, but these are poor quality - more a toy than a serious robot mower. I spend much more time rescuing the mower and fixing issues than I would manually mowing. Will try a Husqvarna if I ever brave the world of robot mowers again, but it's back to the ride on and push mower for now.

This robot mower is brilliant when it works. Unfortunately, the unit is not reliable as there have been several failures: Received July 2024 1st failure Nov 2024: charge pin on charge station overheating (new charge station supplied) 2nd failure Nov 2024: limit switch for deck height adjustment inop (new switch supplied) 3rd failure Jan 2025: RH cutting motor stopped, failed driver board (new driver board supplied after 7 weeks) 4th failure Apr 2025: deck height adjustment failure (mower returned to dealer for repair)

The mower is not fully developped for the environment where we expect it to work (heat, grass, moisture, interruptions to mowing plans etc). You will need to purchase non-genuine parts to make it work (sideguards to stop it from getting stuck, disc covers to keep the blades from jamming, modified blade guards to stop the deck adjuster from jamming).

Mammotion support is attrocious, hardly ever giving useful failure diagnosis from uploaded logs. The Mammotion app that is required to program and manage the mower is an unreliable IT product with lots of conectivity issues and releasing of untested updates. They also change features willy nilly, removing essential stuff and adding bugs with every update.

At this stage, my recommendation is to wait another few years before buying a Mammotion unless you are willing to be their guinea pig.

Mower is dead! Returned start of Feb for warranty repairs, Mammotion advised after I chased them up that the unit still has issues. They offered me a new Luba 2 5000X as replacement, still waiting for that to turn up (1 month later). Mammotion is not capable of clear communication and meeting the promises made. Be prepared to be frustrated if you buy one of their products.
