I’ve been a long time customer and always found their wetsuits warm comfortable and durable. Purchased a new steamer last week and had an issue with it. One email later and a new one was sent to me within two days. Great customer service. Highly recommended.

I'm just replacing a short arms long legs wetty that I bought from needessentials 6 years ago! Would have got 40+ uses a year easy. Insane quality. I also have a 4/3 steamer that is 4 years old and is near new condition. That one gets a bit less use. Love their sustainable angle too. Will never buy a wetsuit from anyone else.

Best wetsuit I've had in a very long time – I’ve had a Need 4/3 liquid taped chest zip wetsuit for over 3 years now and its still going strong. It doesn’t leak, it hasn’t gone baggy like some other brands do and is very warm. Its probably the best winter wetsuit I’ve had in over 20 years. Fantastic service too by the crew in Torquay. I recommend them!

Need Essentials 3/2 Liquid Taped Thermal Chest Zip Wetsuit – With the exception of a few very windy days I have been wearing this suit all through this winter in Victoria. Fits me perfectly and being able to wear a 3/2 through most of the winter has been great.

Warm but no room for the meat and 2 vedge – Got the 3/2 liquid tape a few months ago. Good fit and keeps me warm. However, I am not sure if they test their suits on females or what but there is absolutely no room in the crutch area for your package. The 2 vedge get pushed up in to your stomach which makes for a very painful surf. Almost unbearable at times. This is the same with my needs springy. Great suits, just need a bit more room for the Johnson.

fit not great – 4/3 Liquid Taped Thermal Chest Zip. Pretty disappointed in the fit of this. it gathers around the neck and the diagonal zip is very hard to get over the shoulder when taking off. ive used it once in the water and found the movement very restrictive. hopefully it loosens up. it was very warm and cosy though. the liquid taping definitely keeps you dry. im regretting not returning it after i tried on at home.

too restrictive in the shoulders. My last wetsuit was Quiksilver and it was good. This Yulex is terrible for stretch. I would not recommend or buy again.

Great wetsuit but very tight around chest and shoulders – 4/3 chest zip size 8. Great wetsuit. Warm and doesn’t let water in but I bought the size 8 cos that’s the size I wear in rip curl heatseeker. Fits great on rest of my body but shoulders and arms are very tight making paddling very fatiguing. Wish I had bought the size 10!

Consistently great product – This is my 3rd Needsessential wetsuit (4/3 front zip, externally taped seams) and the product is consistently good. Used the latest one today and hardly knew I was wet for the first 10 minutes.

Returns procedure is excellent – I've bought a few need wetsuits in the past. All have been of great quality with a great price. Fantastic – I’m in Perth the I ordered the steamer on line check the reply and I’d ordered a back zip I thought I’d ordered the chest zip emailed and they changed the order then I realized it was the back zip I ordered so they changed it again these guys must have thought I had a screw loose. Quality Wetsuit's 3/4 thermal and 3/2 liquid tape. Epic! – Received a couple suites today both fit very well the sizing is spot on. I have worn needessentials gear for years and will continue. Great for those chilli winter days when it’s hard to get out of the warm car heating. Also recommend there fins as they are good shapes and of high quality, I have been riding them In my boards in quality waves of Indonesia and love them. Highly recommend.

Great, robust wetsuit – I never post reviews but thought I would for this wetsuit. I’ve had the wetsuit for 6 months and there’s been no issues whatsoever with quality etc. I use it at least twice a week. I think it’s as warm now as the day I got it. really well. I mainly just surf in Sydney and around NSW and haven’t felt cold at all this winter. There’s been no issues with the neoprene at all. I’ve had some RipCurl wetties that I’ve spent a lot more on in the past that have definitely started to degrade after 6 months, however they have sometimes been a little bit more flexible.

I was a bit unsure about what the quality would be like with this brand, but seriously don’t think I’ll ever shop anywhere else in the future.

Love the wetsuits , board shorts and zinc – My favourite wetsuit is the short arm long leg. When I ordered online it arrived within 24 hours. I purchased the savethebees beeswax zinc the kids love the smell and protects them all day.

4/3 Thermal – Warmest suit I have had. I have been using needs wetsuits for a few years now and love them. As good as any suit i've tried but half the price. I'm in the water most days so they get plenty of use but super happy with performance and they last longer than other suits i've had. [ all wetsuits eventually fall apart with enough use ] - 4/3 thermal with the external taped seams and boots in Vicco winter and I'm toasty.

5/4 leaking inside legs, groin, and under arms. Had it 3 winter seasons. Light to moderate usage. Disappointed.
