written in the interactive timeline. However by 8am we had not seen anyone so I rang our designated project manager and left a message. He later texted me to say the painter would call. He called a little later to say he thought the job was starting the next day but he would come and do some prep work. He and one of his team spent 90 minutes and then left to do another job. We discovered they were subcontractors not direct employees of Rochele. Had we known this we probably would not have contracted them for the job as they were considerably more expensive than most of our other quotes. On Day 2 only one person was on the job and he was an ‘apprentice’ left on his own and unfortunately there were communication issues as his English was poor. After advising him several times over a few days that an area in the toilet hadn’t been done we gave up and waited until the head painter was there and he did it immediately. We ran out of hot water for our evening shower after the painters started and discovered they used hot water to clean the brushes. This was extremely unusual but we put up with it and keep the hot water system going all day while they were here so we would have hot water at night. After the bedrooms were completed and curtains and furniture put back we discovered that the paint on the wardrobe doors painted by the ‘apprentice’ were all peeling off and would have to be redone. This meant stripping them back and sanding before repainting. We weren’t impressed that the upstairs area was dusty again as it had all been cleaned when we thought the upstairs area was completed. The first time they got up on the roof to paint the front exterior, the ‘apprentice’ slipped. Fortunately he was not hurt. We had a new roof and gutter guard installed a few weeks previously and the gutter guard got ripped when he slipped. The painters wanted to fix it themselves but we insisted on getting a professional to fix it and the painters refunded us the cost. They used hired trestles and planks for the front of the house but they were collected after a few days and for the rest of the house painting they just used ladders. We have had the house painted 4 times in the 40+ years we have lived here and they have always used trestles and planks for the whole house. We brought it up with our project manager but he didn’t seem concerned. We felt it was a cost saving exercise by the subbies when we believed we had paid for a quality job. I arrived home around 5.30pm one evening and it was dark. Two of the ‘apprentices’ were still painting out the back without any lights. I put lights on for them and they said they were almost finished. They left around 6.15pm. The next morning I went outside to see what they had done and all the paint was still wet and dripping. Some paint had dripped on to the brick base of the house and the paved path. See the photos attached. Again I rang our project manager and left a message for him. He contacted the painters who arrived around 9am. They cleaned up the mess and redid the painting out the back. We said we would not have any of the ‘apprentices’ working at our house so the work was finally completed by the two main painters. The job took 4 weeks in total. When they quoted for the job they brought a drone out and took photos of the work to be completed. We asked if a drone would be used for the final inspection so we could see areas that we can’t see ourselves. Our project manager said he would organise one. Unfortunately when he came the drone had the wrong connection for his phone but he promised that he had other jobs in the area and would bring a drone in the near future and send us the photos. That was over 3 weeks ago and of course final payment was due in a few days. A week later after submitting a feedback review directly to Rochele I received a call from David, one of the senior managers. He apologised for the issues we experienced and assured me we would receive the drone photos. Nothing has been sent to us yet. We have never had issues with previous painters and the whole experience has been disappointing to say the least.

Steven, Project Manager, seamlessly & effortlessly tackled this task and the rest of the project with ease and to an exemplary standard. The entire team were experienced professionals who were polite, dedicated and respectful of our family members (2 whom are disabled), our property and our possessions, at all times. We had very high expectations of Rochele Painting but our expectations were surpassed. We would have no hesitation in recommending Rochele Painting.

delivering a really first-class result. This included working around some tricky hard to access areas, like boundary fences, but nothing proved too difficult. They were especially helpful with color choices we needed to make and were happy to answer questions about paint quality and work progress. It is hard to find tradespeople who deliver what they promise now days, but these guys are old school and did exactly what they were contracted to do; they took pride in their work and were a pleasure to deal with. From start to finish this has been a good experience for us and at a very competitive price. We would recommend these guys without hesitation.
Rochele have completed the painting of the full exterior of our timber townhouses which were well overdue for care. seldom left before dark tidying up to ensure we suffered only minimal disruption. The work they produced on a near three-decade old building that had not been painted since new is exceptional. The detail of the filling, preparation, and care in the application has given the building a new life––in fact the building looks new. Project Manager Max was on top of things throughout. Nicky in admin deserves a special mention for going the extra yard to get us going. cards and were disprectful of our property. Overall the paint job was ok, but a lot of areas of amatuer-level sloppy work and lack of surface preparation which we were told would be taken care of: not what you'd expect from professional painters. They were competitively priced with other quotes.
Avoid at all Cost! – I have been renovating my property and decided to have the living area and gutters and facias repainted. apprenticeship who filled painting hook holes (reminded him) worse than I would. Dripped paint down my splashback tiles in the kitchen. Dripped paint all over my beautiful plant, broke a hanging ornament as he was too lazy to remove it from the exterior wall or ask me too. Worst of all he dripped dark blue paint over my charcoal newly installed pavers, this cant be fixed. I had to remove one paver as he spilt white paint on in then tried to fix it and took all the paint out of that tile. Project support officer came out and never once apologised for any of this. I have emailed them numerous times and still have not any apology or compensation for all of this. Best to stay away as the service ends when you contract them.
Unprofessional and careless – Very disappointed. Job not completed. Not professional painters. Streaks and lines everywhere. As per other reviews, management said to lower expectations and never came back to sort. Family business line is a farce and doesn’t equate to good service.

Rochelle did our our entire house painting some 8 months ago. Feisal and his team did a great job, however the important thing is we went through a cyclone in March and resulted in some minor leaks. Feisal came back yesterday and resealed some areas and repainted those areas again. Pretty happy with the results and definitely 5 stars for follow up service.

Check their work – The top of the fence above eyelevel was left unpainted, and as a result have now rotted and falling apart. Despite numerous phone calls and discussions, no one has been out to rectify the issue and it is now beyond repair.

authors comments with others. So, just being totally honest I had Rochelle paint my entire house internally and cannot fault them in any way. They quoted me and stuck to their word, the paintwork was first class and the attitude of the painters and other staff same. It's a hard working family company, and it was this attracted my wife and I immediately. Further, it was in fact us who constantly sought changes to the agreed initial paintwork, none of this was an issue for Rochelle. Job well done IMO, would recommend anytime.

story - took multiple calls photos and losing my cool over several weeks to get it completed & was left with broken exterior blinds and no communication of it happening which I havent even gone back to them about because I do not want any more to do with them
Terrible service paint peeled on the first day – Terrible company with horrible warranty. On the first day after they finished painting the ceiling started flaking. The did come to try and fix it, but it peeled again within a week. They then refused to come back and fix it. Poor after service and difficulty with warranty claim – Company not following through with a warranty claim. Paint started peeling on door frame after a few weeks due to improper preparation. Painter who did job left company and now they seem very uninterested in rectifying problem. Lots of gloss and website but not much customer service.
