Do not deal with this company! Although the overall standard of work is satisfactory, when questioned about some rough patches on the paintwork, their only solution was to use methylated spirits. & responsive when seeking your business, but once they have your money, they don't want to know you. Also, poor quality service when collecting & returning our furniture. work before adding it to the final invoice. Instead, it was simply slipped in, seemingly in the hope it wouldn’t be questioned and paid.
When raised, they attempted to justify it by referring to their contract; however, the contract clearly states that any additional costs are to be discussed and approved beforehand - which did not happen.
Communication has been extremely poor throughout. Like many other reviews suggest, once there is an issue; they become difficult to deal with, avoid any form of accountability and are almost impossible to get ahold of over the phone.
To make matters worse, they are still holding my shutters in their warehouse with minimal effort to resolve the situation.
The core issue here is not just the cost - it’s the blatant lack of transparency, ethics, and accountability.
Proceed with caution…or better yet, not at all!
Didn’t coat the metal table and chairs properly so it was rusting after 1 month outside and now it is much worse..Rang and emailed them but they wouldn’t answer. Avoid at all costs.

refusal to comply with their original quote, eg 2 couriers in the quote, and only 1 courier assigned to upload/offload my table. So, I had to help (I'm 70 years old & petite in size). Additionally - & even more importantly - extra work was done on the table without authorisation. This whole situation eventually forced me into a year-long legal battle with them. Even after a court ruled in my favour, the company refused to comply with the official court order. Getting my property back has been an incredibly stressful and expensive ordeal for me. If you value your time, money and peace of mind I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for furniture services. These people took our table, finished our expensive table with a different finish on top. Tried calling but no help and now ignoring our calls. Our lawyer sent them an email with the complaint and no response. They take your money and don't give a d#mn about their customers.

We recently had our plantation shutters re-painted. They reinstalled all the shutters and they look brand new.
I had my bedroom furniture stripped back and on return delivery 1 of the bedside cabinets was dropped and chipped and also a few mimor dents also there were a lot of the screws missing from the handles, first email back they were going to look for the missing screws, that was a couple of months ago, now they are not returning my calls or emails… Read more

Scammers.. do not use these people. They took my furniture and kept adding costs. When i didnt agree, they started charging rent. I have to take them to court to get my goods back.

These plantation shutters were faded and damaged, but the team did a fantastic job restoring them as new. The fresh white coat is smooth with no streaks visible and the finish is professional. I was very disappointed with the quality of work by the Furniture Finishing Company. I engaged them, and paid thousands of dollars, to ensure a highly professional refinishing of two bedside drawers and chest of drawers. filled and sanded as part of the finishing process. There were also lots of coffee stains on the bedside tables which hadn’t been cleaned, so on delivery the whole lot looked worse for wear. Worst of all, the company had not taken the time to tape over, or remove, the metal runners which were totally sprayed over - meaning all the drawers are now really difficult to open. I fully acknowledge these were second hand items, and they will never be perfect, but the whole idea was to give them a professional finish, which I assumed included some basic sanding and filling. Certainly the price I paid should have covered this. Like the other reviewer, I found communication delays throughout the process, and when I raised the complaints above, there was no reply.

expensive, we accepted the quote as this work was not offered anywhere else near us in Wollongong. Jan job totalled $3581, May job totalled $2480. The January job went relatively smoothly, although it took a week longer than advised and when chasing up the progression of our job it took 6 days to receive a reply. I found the customer service lacking throughout both dealings with this company. The second job in May had big reinstall problems. Reinstallation started on a Wednesday and after 5 1/2 hours only 1 single panel was hanging out of 8! Unbelievable! The guys left saying they'd be back but we had no communication from Furniture Finishing for 2 days. Installation resumed Saturday. After another 5 1/2 hours finally one bank (4 panels) was hung & operating. So, 11 man hours for a 1 1/2 hour job.. By this time it was 7pm and the second bank of shutters was still to be finished but was missing a couple of screws ( later found on the floor), missing a hinge & one corner of the frame wasn't square so shutter was hanging askew. My husband chose to finish that job himself. Also both frames were damaged but no damage was pointed out to us at reinstallation. Would we use Furniture Finishing Co. again? NO Not until they improve their customer service/communications & improve their quality of workmanship. On a positive note, we have no problem with the shutter respray, they did a good job.
