10/10 for ease of buying and shipping – Ross's is one of the few wonderful auction houses that have an in-house packaging and posting department, making it so easy to purchase wherever you live.
I bought a large R b Higgins oil palnting – Sent to England, promptly dispatched, and beautifully packed. Couldn’t be more satisfied.
I've been a customer for ages now and only been disappointed once. Find the team very dependable – I find they always provide a very professional friendly service.
A totally professional service – Having bought several items over the years the firm deserves great praise for the professional way they conduct their business and their delivery service is first class
Worst Customer Service – Today, it’s seems like I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, one of the female staff [Name Removed] very rude and aggressive. She’s never friendly always looking unhappy.
Corrupt Online System For Auctions – Placed a bid for a high end laptop at a time of 20:01:00. I believed I was successful as there was no indication by any other bidder or the system did not say I was outbid. The clock did not re-start indicating no one else had placed a higher bid. The auction finished. Naturally , as I was the highest bidder I automatically assumed I had won the… Read more
auction. I waited for confirmation and did not receive one. I therefore checked the details on the auction again . I could see someone else had placed a bid at exactly the same time as me 20:01:00 for exactly the same price. How is this even possible? This should not be allowed. This is a system failure and shows a corrupt system. The winning bidder had to have placed a higher bid then me not one of the same value. That is after all how an auction works- right! BUT the other bidder won this auction when we clearly were the first to bid the highest bid. How can this happen? This is unacceptable and shouldn't be allowed. Regulators regulate licensed auctioneers and it is about time this company had an investigation because there is clearly something wrong. At the time we had placed the highest bid that was it. Auction was finished. End of story. We were under the impression we won. It clearly shows we placed the highest bid first. We went into Ross Auction & got a receptionist who kept saying we lost we lost we lost. A 2 second loss. Not a show. We have proof we won. We won the auction fair & square. Your system fails people. So people beware this online system is rigged. Even if you think you have won don't believe it the system is set up to fail you & as for getting any good service from Ross Auction-forget it!
BE CAREFULL !! – I bought a high-end laptop from ROSS. As per advertisement on website it mentioned "no chargers" for all laptops that was on sale that day. But as anybody expect, or I assumed ROSS would have checked the laptops to be "at least bootable" before they put it up for sale. As a buyer I don’t have the option to test it out without a charger prior to… Read more
purchasing. On pickup I spoke to the Ross tech who was handing it out to check if it is working which he did with no luck to boot it up. His comments were "it was in storage for a long time and battery could be depleted, take it and try charging it completely and power it up". Went home, bought a new charger, charged for 24hrs, and tried to boot up - crap *** NO LUCK ** Unfortunate it turns out to be completely dead. $450 wasted on scrap. Deliberate deception and cheating by ROSS auction. You don’t expect dead laptops to be on sale.
Send an email with all details to ROSS and no response at all. Finally, I called them, and I get a very rude response from the Manager, read the "Terms and Conditions" and everything is mentioned in that - We sell everything as is - NO GURANTEES OR WARRANTEES and "Once you have bought it we can’t do anything" Very unhelpful. They sell “DEAD and FAULTY equipments” in auction and don’t even care and cheat the unsuspecting buyers. T&C biased and written only to protect the company.
I don’t think I will ever purchase anything again from ROSS AUCTION as they are there just for their CUT and don’t care a bit about their buyers.
VERY DISAPPOINTED!!
Rude, Obnoxious, Disgraceful. Customer Service at its very worst – Hands down the worst customer service Ive ever experienced, and when confronted about it staff become instantly aggressive, rude and completely unprofessional. When we won an item (a hifi receiver)we were bidding on, we received No notification by either email or phone that we had won the item at auction (though we did receive about 20 emails of… Read more
spam from them every day without fail). When we noticed the transaction in our bank statement and tried to collect a couple weeks later staff half heartedly pretended to look for the item for an hour before admitting it had just been re-sold that very same day. No apology or refund provided, and then they tried to charge us $100 a day storage for it..! They treat their customers like dirt, what an absolute disgrace.
