1 Linda C.  · Not happy jan – I agree ryvita are not as good as they use to be, i too will be searching for an alternative.
1 Jaberwocky  · Ryvita, change for the worst – Ryvita have changed, thinner, drier and do not taste the same. Very unhappy and looking for alternative for lunch.
1 Linda  · Dark ray it’s now rubbish – We use to eat dark Ryvita everyday we would buy at least 3 packs a week. No more they taste awful!
1 Monique  · More waste, less crackers – Ridiculous, they are smaller and wrapped in packs of four. We got less crackers and more waste. Wrong but then again
1 Ryvita multi grain  · packaging – Please please get rid of annoying separate packaging. Can't see the benefit. Friends agree. Love Ryvitas just as they were.
1 Claire  · Stupid Packaging – Which muppet thought up this new packaging? (is that aggressive language?) Pointless multi packaging, I will not be buying again :(

What happened to ryevita?? – Ryevita used to be a staple in my home for over 40 years!!! What on earth has happened to it? The new crackers are small thin, taste like sawdust with a fishy aftertaste. [Content Removed] Show details

A quality UK product, Aussies take note – I love Ryvita multigrain crispbread because it has a great flavour, texture and recognisable ingredients, unlike so many mass produced products today. Show details

Shock-Disappointment – I am now eighty, have been enjoying ryvita biscuits, (no capital now) since school. I sought them out when Coles wouldn't stock them, because of price rise. Just opened a new pack, thought these are stale. Just a measly little tasteles thing, why have you done this. I was willing to pay the extra cost, not so sure now. Disappointing to the max. … Read more

Thought of taking them back to the shop, for refund. Please let me know if ryvita ever change back to their original recipe. I'm sure I could find the proof of purchase, if needed. Images now added, is this false advertising. Original Ryvita. Nothing like the original, return the original Ryvita, price rise reasonable and you will keep your loyal customers. I came across this review for Ryvita when I was looking for other peoples reaction, on google.

Great crispbread – Not sure how I navigated here but was a bit shocked at the number of reviews referring to the packaging. Don’t worry I get the point that individually wrapped packs create more plastic waste...but would have to say that in a single person household it keeps my crispbreads crisp for longer.... However I love my ryvitas - the product. I love that… Read more

they have simple ingredients and no nasty additives - e.g. original ryvitas have 2 ingredients - whole rye flour, salt and presumably a bit of water to mix. I love that they are so simple, taste great, and are a crunchy base for any savoury or sweet snack I can dream up - my current fave being cottage cheese, banana and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Ok...have had my say and am off to look for other yummy toppings!

I love the new packaging! – Wow .. I very rarely get excited enough to write a review ... having read previous reviews I am going to be going against the popular opinion on the new packaging ... I absolutely love it.. no more tossing out half a packet of stale biscuits.. my daughter is also happy with the new packs!! I'm guessing I'll trade off the extra plastic for not wasting food! Show details

Love it – Love the taste of the new version Ryvita, especially the multigrain one. And it's easier to chew. Will buy it on a regular basis from now on. The company should be promoting this new version. Show details

Change for changes sake – Agree with other recent posts. The latest pack just opened revealed a dramatic change. They are thinner, smoother on the dimpled side, brown rather than grey, and worst of all, the great rye flavour has gone. After all the supply issues in recent years, having to chase Ryvita down in IGA stores ( thank heavens for IGA!) now this! Show details

Ryvita are now terrible – Ryvita has changed for the worse. Have been eating these all my life. In the past months have noticed they are no longer the same. They don’t look the same or taste the same. They’re pale, tasteless. Taste like carboard. Very dry. Odd consistency. Wrong colour. Will not buy any more Ryvita until they are back to the real original. Note they still say original on the packet and this ain’t true! Show details

Ryvita has been sabotaged – What were the management thinking of when they changed the recipe. Did they think that we wouldn't notice ? They could now sell it to Amazon as packaging it is so awful. Dark Rye was once so Crunchy and Tasty, now it is like Cardboard. Show details

Dreadful - soggy, new packaging isn’t keeping slices crisp – I used to love the dark ryvita but now it is completely ruined. I loved the crispness mixed with cheese. Now it is soft as if the packaging isn’t working effectively. The package also drops bits of wax - very unappetising.

Case Study: How to ruin a classic 101 – Perfect example of some kid with a marketing degree trying to be unnecessarily “progressive” and ruining a classic. Completely unacceptable flavour and texture. No wonder - my wife bought these from The Reject Shop. FAIL. Show details

Over-packaged and thinner – Used to all be in waxed paper packaging that folded down beautifully. Now all except the "original" variety are in cellophane multi-packs. Seriously why? I still love the minimalist ingredients, even if they are stupidly thinner. Please listen to your loyal customer base and revert this nonsense. Show details

Terrible!! – I have eaten Ryvita for as long as I can remember but not anymore. I used to love them with lots of different toppings from cheese to sardines etc I can’t bite them now unless I want to spend the rest of the week calming my gums with Bongela - bring back the old recipe please Show details

Disappointed as no longer the same – It’s not just the packaging that has changed, the product has also. They are now small, dry, tasteless and crumbly and seem to disintegrate when you try to butter or place any other type of spread on them. No longer my favourite crisp bread. I will not be buying them again.

Completely Tasteless – These, have no taste what so ever, no salt, spice or grain. Crumbly and messy. Way too dry, even with Branston pickle and cheese You might like these if you don't have a tongue.

Ryvita Packaging Change is Miserable – I love Ryvita crackers, but I just detest the new packaging, the new "grab and go" packages of only 4 crackers. What a major disappointment. Frankly, there's no fat in their product, so the chances of it going bad are nearly nil. They should be marketing their longevity and imperviousness to spoil, rather than wrapping them in plastic and… Read more

pretending like they're keeping them fresh. What's next, each individual cracker wrapped in plastic? Maybe they could cut each cracker in half, and wrap those in plastic too. Do they actually hate the environment? If it was a newly-minted MBA who thought of it, please fire them.

What an earth has happened – No more Ryvita products for me of any kind What an earth have they done I have been a loyal buyer of Ryvitas for years and now every packet I buy crumbles or breaks before I can start to put anything on it I have messed up nice tops and had to clear up mess once too often so no more for me The price too has risen as with all food but the trusted… Read more

Very disappointing – So these crispbreads are terrible. They are half the size they used to be, they are dry and crumble everywhere, the packets are hard to open. and a big mess to clean up. I used to love these crispbreads where they stayed in one piece. Don't know what you've done Ryvita but you've lost some customers, (including me). Absolute waste of money. Please go back to the original size and recipe. then I would buy them. Show details

Devastated by this stupid new package – Loved the old Ryvita with it's perfect packaging for over forty years. Because of arthritis I cannot open these small packets in the new boxes without them breaking to bits. So reluctantly I will join the millions throughout the world Show details

Free Weevils – Two recent packets I bought have been infested with weevils. Some of the individual plastic packs are not properly sealed and the biscuits are dry and cumbly and unpleasant to eat, even without the unwanted added protein. Show details

Why change a perfect product - for the worse?! – I've been addicted to Ryvita for years. NO More though Ryvita. The biscuits are now much thinner and taste as another reviewer has said - of sawdust! And why the individual packaging - not necessary - at ALL! Won't be buying again either. Very sad. What HAVE you done Ryvita!?

Not just the packaging, the recipe has changed – So disappointed with Ryvita. This used to be my favourite cracker, and we used a lot of them. The new recipe is thinner, drier, breaks more easily, taste more like cardboard. The seeds all fall off, with half of them left in the stupid, wasteful plastic packet. Please Ryvita, listen to your customers. Bring back the old cracker ! Show details

Very upset about Ryvita packaging – Ryvita have been my favourite cracker for past 30 years. Could not believe that they are now wrapped in packets of 4. What us the point? Wasteful and unnecessary packaging plus they break when packets are opened. A previously perfect product has been ruined. Cannot understand why new packaging was introduced. They also taste stale. Don't want to buy them anymore. Please revert to previous packaging format. Jo Show details

Very disappointed in Ryvita new packaging – I have just bought my first box of Ryvita in the new packaging of four, and am very much in agreement with all the other reviews that this is a waste of resources. I always ate two of the original Ryvita for lunch, so are four smaller ones equivalent to two? This is one of a number of product packaging changes that has really annoyed me. Why do manufacturers think they always need to change things? Show details

Extra packaging is irresponsible and pointless – Who in their right mind brought this nonsense to market?? The extra plastic used to wrap 4 slices isn't only environmentally irresponsible obviously, it's also pretty useless. I don't eat exactly 4 slices in one sitting, and I'd guess most people don't. So the remainder goes stale unless you pack it in more plastic. Also, opening the package, the… Read more

slices break, and the seeds come off and end up everywhere. I am annoyed enough to stop buying. Please be customer centric and a better corporate citizen and discontinue the extra packaging.

Why the small packs? – Ryvita are catering to those too lazy to store their biscuits in an airtight container by wrapping biscuits in lots of four. I stopped buying another brand of biscuit when they started this nonsense. We have a planet drowning in plastic waste and this is not helping. Come on Ryvita, get with the program. Show details
