S Money sold me Hungarian notes that I could not use because they were old and out of circulation. I was first informed about this situation by local shops, then confirmed at a local bank in Budapest. or offer a refund and I am stuck with currency I cannot use because I cannot get to the National Bank. I include a photo of the old note supplied (pale), alongside the currently accepted note (darker blue). Beware this company may supply you with old notes that you will not be able to use, not inform you of this and then deny they have inconvenienced you.

$14 to deliver your foreign currency to your door. (or you can pick up from the Post Office, or some local banks for $29.....yeah, they gotta make some money don't they??) Anyway, I digress. S Money has, by far, the BEST FX RATE available to regular punters like you and me. Transactions are all performed online. then pay the agreed amount via Direct Deposit from your bank account, and within a few minutes, you get a receipt from S Money, and within a few days, a TXT and email advise it's on it's way, and presto, it is delivered to your door. TOO EASY!! For example, the rate for the Japanese Yen on Google today was 93.1. The advertised rate from S Money is 93.01....Now that's very fair. There is a conversion fee of around 2.4%, but this pales when compared to any currency converter you can name. My regular place (Crown), wanted to charge me close to 4 X....but there was no delivery fee.... The delivery fee at S Money is the same for all amounts (I think), well for $1000AUD and $5000AUD anyways....Errrr I'll go with S Money

Follow-up · Rates are very competitive Only option for me in SA is post office pick up. However although this costs extra it is quick, easy and convenient. Have used several times now, and find it an excellent service.

I was recommended to use S Money for my overseas holiday cash. I found it to be a very easy process and good rates of exchange. My only concern was that I was assured that my nearest post office would require ID for collection, but I found my cash in an outside locker and no ID was required. Second time we have used smoney to change money, really easy to do, just wish you could have the option to nominate another person to pick it up, other than that small thing it’s a 10/10. My phone wasn't working when i ordered the cash and S Money was the only one that didn't need SMS verification code, could do be email instead so big plus for that.
