those companies despite being hundreds of dollars cheaper. The boards seem strong and the details like the fin boxes and leash plugs are nicely finished. They have a good range of outlines. As others have reported, the fins are not great, so you will want to get a set of Futures if you don't already have some You can pick up a set of F6 or F7 Futures fins for pretty cheap. Personally, I prefer Futures fins, so I'm very happy that they have Futures fin boxes. The fins they come with are ok for spares. The boards are packed extremely well and shipping is lightning fast, I received mine the day after ordering and I live in regional coastal NSW. I haven't ridden the Turbo Tub yet, I have to wait for the traction pad (which I ordered first from someone else) to arrive. However, my wife loves her longboard and I have also had a go on it and it rides well. I will definitely have my eye on the Sanctum site to see what else I can pick up in the future.

translate this board down to 82 or 710 for easier more convenient transport. Having said that I have not seen shorter boards of this caliber.

My son and his friends love the board and he just got out of 6 to 8 foot faces ground swell and loved it. 2 days ago he was surfing 1 foot slop and caught everything under the sun as well. He surfs more because of this.

The wide tail and extra tail volume make this board ideal for a beginner to reasonably seasoned confident board rider.

For somebody wanting a board for a 12-year-old just beginning I would suggest a soft board 7 to 8ft before progressing to this. Possibly an 8ft.

With my son and his friends we have 8 longboards we can use and would rank this in the top 2 equal with the Barry Bennett.

Surfboard warehouse had Barry Bennett shapes at a discount as well but we have not tried them.

Mini Simmons – I've bought my Mini Simmons 5 months ago. It was $450 including fins and leash which I think is good value. It surfs well and I really love it but unfortunately I had to take it twice for repair already. in bigger surf with other boards and never happened a thing like this before but it's possible that I was unlucky this time.

The other time I discovered a 1 cm crack on the rail (bottom side, halfway between the tail and middle) It was obviously the result of weak glass. The guy who repaired put extra glass on these weak points.

The tail also has really weak glass as the stringer was exposed in a tiny section. All these been repaired at my expense of course.

Since then I had no other issues but considering I spent ~$120 on repair I could have chose something more expensive/better quality.

I had a few other pop-outs in the same price range and never had problems like this before.

Apart from the issues it's a nice little board and I absolutely love the Mini Simmons shape. Every now and then I see Sanctum boards around the beach so it seems people like it.

Despite these quality problems I would buy again from them after a throughout check on the board of course. Good price, Mini Simmons shape is awesome Glass is weak

Pocket 5' 10" Fish – Ordered online from Sydney was delivered next morning Gold Coast. How's that for great delivery turnaround. The boards are okay but budget for a fin as well – This is my second board from Sanctum and while I can't complain about the boards at the price they are, I would suggest that anyone purchasing a board, budget for an extra $100 for a decent fin. The second board, a 7'10" polyester pig came with a rubbish $2.00 plastic fin, totally unsuitable for the board and still with the plastic 'dags' on it from the mould. Straight to the bin! As you can see from the reviews, don't expect a response from their office either. It's a shame really, these guys are doing great shapes that work and their boards are of reasonable quality for the price. Why cheapen your name with a crap fin guys???? Cheers Kim

Not happy Jan!! – Bought a set of bonzer future fins. Does not fit in the box. Was offered no apology or any other options besides sand them down!!! Who the f**k has time to sand fins down when I paid for them to fit? Terrible service!!!

Rude and abusive – Would not recommend buying anything off sanctum surf. I was harassed and abused by one of the owners and his friends because I wasn’t happy with their product. 4 of the argued with me and abused me till I removed my opinion of there product. It’s a cheap price because it’s cheap quality. Go give real, friendly shapers you’re money instead of these guys.

really like sanctum – I have a 7’6 twinny from Sanctum and a 6’8” retro singley, two board bags, fins and a leggy from Sanctum and they are fantastic…. I cant fault them, the construction of the boards is actually better than other boards I own. Always perusing the site for new shapes, only criticism is they seem to be getting more conservative as time goes on. Next on the wish list is the 10’4” glider.

Been surfing sanctum for the last 6years – I’ve been surfing all the high end brands that cost 800-1k since I was 6 always thought you had to have the big names as there products must be the best.. after testing out a number of different shapes in the factory and now they have a machine that can cut any board I desire it’s easy to say I’ll never purchase a big brand name again. Thanks to the helpfulness of the local crew working at Sanctum. Can’t rate this product enough.

Surfboard cover – Outer layer of surfboard bag disintegrated within 24 months. Have never seen this happen to the many other surfboard bags I’ve owned over the years. I’d buy elsewhere in future.

fun as !@#$ – i got a sanctum retro fish from gumtree, and it has turned out to be my favourite board. ordering a mini simmons off these guys in the next fortnight, great quality boards and affordable. i am so glad i got my first sanctum off that random dude on gumtree......!

Love them – Been buying boards of this guy for years, love them and love the price plus all the guys I've spoken to in the shop have been super nice and knowledgable. People complaining about glass quality have no comprehension of PU boards, you can spend 900 on a Merrick and still get unlucky and snap it on a two foot Shorey, that's just surfing guys. Surf industry needs more people like these guys

nice board 6.6 semi gun – got it on sale 300 board rides well in overhead juice 5/6ft.seems bit weak not to sure if it will or survive intact or handle a lot of solid days unsure as reliability to take to indo.but cheap so ok.deck grip for 25 great

Epic Surfboard a Great Price – A few years ago I thought I would give the sanctum surfboards a go after being highly recommended by friends. 8 months ago I purchased a 5'10 box and dice this board has been my go to board. Shape, quality and performance it has it all. I picked up the board from the sanctum warehouse in on the northern beaches. The guys were a great help in pointing me to the correct board for my needs. Will buy again.

Yep Lamination is Cheap And Poor Quality – Sanctum boards are cheap for a reason. Glass job is very thin and cracks after a few surfs. They tried to blame the sun for damaging the board.

sanctum sups are poor quality and self destruct in a few months of buying them – Don't buy sanctum.. it's cheap and might look good at first but it will fall apart. Also when u try and ask for the board to be fixed or replaced they will accuse you of being a scam artist.
