Sleep Republic Mattress

We ordered a Sleep Republic Hybrid Queen mattress to go with our newly purchased recessed wood bed frame. Please be forewarned that the mattress is quite heavy (57 kg boxed and 49 kg unboxed)!!! one end and a handle of top to be able to move it around before unpacking but the box came a bit crushed to I had to use a hand truck and strap which is much easier anyway.

Unrolling the mattress is an experience and you have to make sure you locate the supplied cutter that is included in the envelope that comes with the mattress as it is the safest way to cut the plastic envelope the holds the mattress in a tight roll. Try to avoid using scissors with a point.

Once you cut the plastic be prepared for a very fast decompression as the mattress inflates quite quickly. If your frame slats are wood, make sure that the they are completely smooth and free of splinters so that you don't tear the mattress while you position the mattress.

Once positioned we found that the mattress was simply too heavy for my wife to lift the corners to make the bed. She wanted a bed that she could make herself without my help. In that case, we had to remove the mattress, disassemble the bed frame, take the rails to a cabinet shop and have them retrofit the bed frame from a recessed bed frame to a platform bed frame. It turns this is the type of bed frame was recommended by Sleep Republic in the first place.

Ah, the fine print.

Once we retrofitted the frame to a platform type, we reset the mattress, purchased two high quality mattress lifter wedges, and now my wife can put on the fitted sheets herself if she wants. (Please note that this mattress is about 31 cm or about 12 1/4" thick). At first I thought the bed would be too firm relative to the Peace Lily latex mattress we had been sleeping on previously but it turned out that it was pretty much perfect for both myself and my wife. I sleep quite well and my wife finds the bed not only cozy but very well made. When I turn over I don't disturb my wife and vice versa. I did not detect any outgassing although we did allow it to air out for several hours before laying on it.

Bed maintains shape, does not sag, and even sitting on edge of bed one feels well supported..

My daughter is envious and my wife and I are most pleased with the outcome.

Coolest mattress so far – We have tried Eva, few versions of Koala mattresses and now Sleep Republic. Sleep republic is easily the coolest so far. The springs make it more airy and helps with better ventilation in my opinion. The mattress felt form the first day, but it eventually got softer and now it's medium firm which is perfect for us. technology is pretty good, I am far less likely to wake up in a sweat if my covers are too warm (I am a hot sleeper). My sleep has improved considerably since purchasing this mattress. The only negative I would say is that the material on the LUXE is very frictionless (unlike the Standard mattress), so my mattress protector slides very easily and can bunch up together. I found adding a percale cotton sheet under the mattress protector stops my mattress protector from sliding easily.

My experience with this company: i found them to be very untruthful and staff are intentionally dishonest. everything in their power not to refund it. I have felt bullied and ignored every step of the way. I have never ever left a negative review however im absolutely appalled how horrible this company has been to me. Be very mindful before purchasing from this company. They do not adhere to their customers confidentiality . They emailed me a screenshot of customers phones numbers, email addresses and location. They certainly dont pride themselves on protecting customer information. After 3 weeks of trying to get my entitled refund with no success I asked to speak with the manager. The manager does not take or make calls. I have sent several emails which are unanswered. They ignore you. I have dropped the mattress myself to a charity store and told them I have no mattress and if they could process my refund immediately, they laughed and told me it will take up to 10 business days. They lack compassion and empathy . I also shared with them that i am chronically unwell and they have not made any provision to help me make this process less stressful . My advice buy elsewhere if you can because if for any reason you want to return your item they will make the process extremely difficult. The "customer service " team are extremely rude, dishonest, unhelpful, ignorant, unwilling and arrogant. The mattress itself, for me, was very uncomfortable. to scam the company, and it led me to write a strong review about the customer service. I had to demonstrate that the mattress failed (photos, videos, weights over the different areas to see the weak ones, after many messages with the evidence, they finally agreed to send me a new one under warranty in 2022, I erase the bad review.. In 2024 I began again to have troubles with my back and this 2026 it made crisis. I wrote to the company again and, since I could not remember all this process (I am 81), I gave them the present address, which does not correspond with the first delivery or the replacement. Unfortunately, when you rent, most likely after a few years the landlord sells and you have to vacate. The fact of the matter is that after that last email I sent, I was completely ignored, so my only tool is this review to warn others. For me it is absolutely obvious that I received a non-advertised "seconds" the first time, hence the offer, and as usually happens, when you claim in warranty, most of the time you receive a "seconds".

still feel the need to rotate it every two weeks (even on the third month) as I can feel the mattress develops sagging around the hip area. It is a bit of a hassle.

Sleep republic mattresses are so good that almost 8 years in and our king mattress is still going strong. No dips. Not too hot. So comfortable. No hip pain like other mattresses. Home delivery was very convenient. The mattress was easy to unpack and has proved very comfortable to sleep on. This mattress has been comfortable from day one. I have multipal issues with my back, hip and neck and this mattress feels so supportive but still nice a soft against the sore points. I haven't woken up as stiff and sore as I did with my old lattex mattress.
