lifting, it could pose a challenge for some.This has been one of our best purchases for our home. Worth Every Penny! Our only regret is we didn't buy it with a headboard, so we would love to see if ordering the headboard addition would be possible.

kept blaming the mattress quality. We recently purchased a SD Queen Base Frame which we assembled ourselves and have been amazed at how supportive of the mattress it is, no more dips instantly. Finally looking at some goodnights sleep without waking to a bad back.

Excellent bed. So solid, doesn’t make a sound, doesn’t feel like the wooden plates might break and doesn’t move anywhere near as much as other beds. The thing you may want to look into is rubber footing in the legs, it did slide away from the wall a little but after getting sine rubber feet that fit over the bottom the problem was solved. some raised edges on the frame would be good to add, as someone who moves alot in their sleep the mattress can move and the bed frame doesnt stop it but these are minor things and I still rate the bed frame 5 stars and this frame feels like it could last the rest of my life.

out within a couple of hours. It actually worked out slightly cheaper as we’re were returning customers having bought a queen size mattress a year or so ago. On the day of delivery we were allocated a time but unfortunately it didn’t arrive in that time window. I called SDHQ and they were able to let me know it was definitely on its way. It arrived with some very tired delivery guys who were super helpful and got everything offloaded. Putting the bed together was so simple and it was up and ready in less than an hour. The bed truly is super heavy duty and so well made. Not a creak or any movement ever. The mattress went on and unpacked in a coup of minutes and all looked fantastic. The cost is slightly higher than other brands but like they say you get what you pay for ! We are so happy with our purchase and would recommend the bed and mattress to anyone looking for something to last. We would buy again if we needed any more replacement beds for sure. Well worth the investment. Communication with SDHQ is amazing and so quick to get back to you. Superb customer service all the way.

Was great to start with but not so good now. Gravity layer is constantly moving making bulges, mattress moves on base and base now creaking and making noises. Show details

Good product but for the price I would have assumed SD would have sent all the parts so I could actually construct the bed. The bed requires 6 legs, but I was the unlucky one to receive a package with 2 missing legs. This is something that cannot be figured out until about half way through constructing the frame, which is extremely inconvenient… Read more

SD tried to blame the manufacturer for not including the required amount of legs, which is a great example of passing the buck. We did not enjoy having to pop the mattress open in the lounge room (bedroom filled with a half constructed frame) for the 4 nights it took for the missing legs to arrive.

SD knew beforehand that some of their frames were missing legs, but the manufacturer couldn't tell them which packages were missing the legs, so instead of checking all the packages or including extra legs just in case, they put it on the customer to figure it out. This is extremely poor service especially when the bed frames alone cost many thousands of dollars.

Not good enough SD!!

them to do it during 5 visits to my apartment by 10 men, no exaggeration. Here we go … the initial men came to assemble the bedbase, however, the bed was creaking & groaning a lot in the following weeks because, unbeknownst to me, they had forgotten to tighten many of the nuts and bolts AND they had forgotten to adjust the central legs of the bedbase (the legs were just hanging in the air). So the 2nd pair of men came; they were shocked to discover that many of the nuts/bolts were very loose so they tightened them. But still the bed creaked and groaned at the slightest body movement, so a 3rd pair of men came out; this pair clearly resented having to fix other people’s work. Very rude (especially the driver). Anyway, they found more loose nuts/bolts (but they failed to notice the ‘floating’ central legs). Still more creaking & groaning from the bed! To emphasise how bad it was, one night I sneezed whilst in bed and the bed creaked and groaned! Just a regular, everyday, non-violent sneeze, so the 3rd pair of men were instructed to come back and replace my bedbase. They came back with a new bedbase (which they left in the truck); the driver said, in no uncertain terms, that he didn’t want to give me a new bedbase, so he tried to fix our bedbase again. Again he failed. Finally, the 3rd pair of men (with the very rude driver) came back again, this time with strict instructions from his boss to replace my bedbase. As usual, I was polite and friendly (“Did you have a good weekend?” / “Would you guys like a cup of coffee?”) but the driver was in a foul mood - perhaps if he’d done his job properly on his previous two visits, he wouldn’t have had to come back so many times). Anyway, this whole saga was due to the absolute ineptitude of the initial assembly team, and due to the ineptitude, stubbornness and rudeness of the 3rd pair of men to visit us. Anyway, we paid about $2200 for a bedbase which took 7 months to assemble, and which kept us awake with its creaking and groaning. And as a bonus, we had to tolerate the rudeness of the 3rd team’s driver, one of the rudest trades-people I’ve ever met.

Bed was easy to construct. the instructions were clear and the bed so far after 2 weeks is comfortable. Purchased and paid for the bed in June and received the bed in August, which we weren't sure about but were ok with it. Show details ·  1

Sales process was very relaxed and by no means a hard sell. The options were varied enough and suited our style. The bed itself is well made, sturdy and very comfortable. The quality of the finish and build is very good. So far, so good. Would definitely recommend. Show details ·  1

We bought the SD bed in Jan 24 but without a headboard as we liked the one we had. It didn't actually work out, and the mattress looked lost. We eventually bought the matching headboard and now the bed looks great and has completed the look of the room. Staff were very helpful and the headboard arrived the next day. Warning to all potential buyers- buying this bed will fill you deep buyers remorse. The remorse will come from not buying it sooner! Shipping was amazing. The entire process, start to finish, was effortless.

Now the mattress. This replaced a bed we'd had for eighteen years, a top-of-the-line memory foam and latex mattress worth over five grand in its day. A beautiful bed, just too old. So I was genuinely stressed about finding something that could live up to it. I did my research, deep-dived everything, and put my money on Sleeping Duck, largely because of the guarantee. If I wasn't happy, I could've just sent it back. No risk.

Turns out I didn't need the safety net. The mattress is amazing to sleep on and everything worked out better than I'd hoped.

Full marks. If I could give these guys ten stars, I would.

After a recommendation by a friend I bought both a Mach II mattress and the Baker indestructible bed in the European Ash. So far I'm loving both. The bed is solid and feels and looks premium. Was surprisingly easy to put together as well. Would definitely recommend this to others Show details ·  1

absolute success with providing support to my body as it heals and I am getting an amazing sleep in comfort.

I got the firm mattress foam which has been amazing but I requested the medium input layers also. I prefer firm but as my body heals, the medium has been better in the interim. Inserting the different foam is very easy and I love that the mattress top is machine washable. I will go back to the firm feel later in the year.

Bed construction is amazing and straightforward to put together and it didn’t take long with help, as it is pretty heavy. The bed does not move at all and there no creaks.

I also purchased the standard and tall pillows, which have been fantastic! I no longer get the tension in my neck and headaches.

I look forward to bed each night and this purchase certainly has made a positive impact in my sleep, physical and mental health

also love the fact you can unzip and wash the mattress topper. We finished off purchasing a bed and it is so well constructed and super easy to put together. The service was just incredible. Sleeping duck was so helpful and kept us up to date with each step from enquiries, purchase to delivery and a follow up a week later to make sure we were happy with the bed.
