transactions, but that's where the good experience ends.
The biggest issue is its completely outdated payment processing system. When you make a payment from your bank account, Latitude advises that it can take up to SIX DAYS before the funds become available on your card. Think about that for a moment—your money has left your bank account, but Latitude can hold you waiting for nearly a week before you can use your available credit.
In today's world of instant payments and real-time banking, a six-day delay is simply ridiculous. There is absolutely no justification for making customers wait this long to access money they have already paid.
What's even worse is the attitude of customer service. When I raised my concerns, they showed no interest whatsoever. The response was essentially, "That's our process." No ownership, no solution, and no concern for the inconvenience caused to customers.
Latitude is happy for you to use the card, but when you've paid your bill, don't expect the same urgency from them. It's astonishing that a major financial institution still operates this way in 2026.
My advice? If you only need a card for overseas purchases and can tolerate poor payment processing, it may suit you. Otherwise, look elsewhere. There are plenty of competitors that offer great international transaction benefits without making customers wait up to six days for their own money to become available.
A shameful and outdated system that Latitude should have fixed years ago.

them. Over the years this has been slowly reduced. Two examples of all the things that have stopped are: - Stopped all types of payments to the card to be nothing else than bank transfer - Visa and Mastercard allow any payment method via banks and post offices for free. (They removed cash payment about 1-2 years ago. Then sent notification 6 months ago, that cheque'ss cannot be used as a payment method. The reason was for security and our saftey. Hmmm, we are paying into the account, not withdrawing. What's the real reason AMEX, honesty goes a long way.). Yes, cheques will be discontinued by banks in good time, but my point here is, why does AMEX have to remove this as well, while the providers of the cheques haven't? - Then we have the points earning reduction. Qantas points earned used to be 1.5 per $. Now it is 1.25.
Only examples I chose to list to reduce my review, but there are many more.
It will be interesting when the new law comes in in October 2026. Where other card providers transactions do no incur a surcharge for the consumer. With this in mind, the fact that they are accepted anywhere, .25 of a point is not worth a surcharge, more flexibility, and I can just carry one card. I will have to weigh up paying $450 per year in return for not much at all.

free travel insurance, especially as I travel overseas several times a year. Otherwise it’s nothing particularly special, compared with my Amex points earning credit card.
I was happy to keep it on a complimentary basis, but a few days ago I received an email from CBA stating that they had been providing this card fee-free in error, and to correct their mistake they would start charging me $32 per month.
Well, of course, I wasn't happy to accept this, and contacted CBA by phone. The agent I spoke to basically said too bad, you’ll just have to wear it. I wasn’t particularly surprised by this response, and had prepared for this eventuality, so I asked the agent to close my account there and then.
To my mind this is just another example of how rapacious the CBA has become, in extracting the last cent from its customers. I also have similar complimentary credit cards with other banks and they have not (yet) pulled the same stunt as CBA.

I’m an NDIS Participant and use this card to pay for most purchases made on my plan. The QF points are just racking up nicely. I’ve had attempted fraud a couple times (apparently the scammers guessed the card details and fluked it once). Bank stopped it and prevented any loss. I even had an attempted fraud on Christmas Day(!) and the bank phoned me and stopped it. They got spooked by one of my allied health providers, but the transaction was legitimate and allowed it no problem once verified.
The purchase protection is very nice, too. I bought a product from a retail store and it failed promptly. The merchant refused to fix it, so the bank charged it back to the merchant. Saved a lot of stress.
I had trouble getting the card to add to Google Wallet on a new phone, so I went into the former Rockingham Branch and the staff looked into it in detail. The lady rang me back the next day, but I couldn’t answer. She left a voicemail with the outcome of their investigation and what needs to be done to get it working. I followed those instructions and voila(!) it worked! I rang her back later that day to thank her. It was a very nice touch. When an employee makes a real effort to assist, it makes a big difference and I feel should be acknowledged :)
The QF points were initially 0.75 per dollar, but this was lowered within the last year. It’s still not too bad, as I still earn tonnes of QF points each month just by paying for regular expenses with it.

When COVID bit I paid my credit card in full and I think I was a few dollars in credit. I never worried about re checking my balances because I knew I paid it off and I Kew I wasn’t going to be travelling in the near future so I didn’t think much of it until I found the new credit card they send me last year in a bowl waiting to be activated.
I rang them to my shock they told me that because I didn’t pay my bill they terminated My account. The real story here is that I paid my credit card in full and was as I remember in credit back in February 2020 but as COVID hit everything went mad. I had no need of credit card as I wasn’t travelling anymore but the bank regardless of my good credit rating forgot to informed me that they charged me an annual fee.
I never received phone call or e en an email to the fact and today the person I spoke to said it wa my responsibility to check account online that statements get send there. Yes I understand that very well but the fact that my account was settled before COVID-19 hit i had no reason to suspect I own them anything. The fact that some people are struggling and there is messages on website advertising assistance to tose in need is disturbing as simple telephone. All or email could had avoided this. Poor customer service I call this..plus due to current hardships the bank should not be allowed to charge annual fees. I always been a good customer all these years and paid my bills on time and their attitude with my situation has left me very disappointed. I have never received any communication about why they were canceling my account, no telephone call no email ever sent.

card any longer. At the point in time when I activated my new ANZ First Card, which de-activated the FFB card (since it was a change of card request), a fraudulent transaction was posted against the FFB card number. ANZ claims that this transaction was performed by someone cloning my old card (even though my card never left my possession and the transaction was posted in a different state). Seems very coincidental that this transaction happened at exactly the moment in time when I activated my new card, which de-activated my old card from Apple Pay/Apple Wallet. And there had been no other fraudulent transactions against this card up to this point in time. My suspicion is that there is an issue in the banking system whereby when a card is deactivated via activating a replacement card type, the deactivated card gets crossed with another cardholders card resulting in a transaction that is in the process of being posted, getting processed against the wrong cardholders card. So please beware when changing credit card types with ANZ Bank and check your account activity if you do to look out for erroneous transactions against your account. Note also that ANZ fraud protection is useless. I posted a POS transaction in my home location less than hour prior to the erroneous transaction being posted and the erroneous transaction was also POS in another state that is over 4 hours away by plane. So why wasn’t this picked up by ANZ as fraud and stopped?

After the changes they made to the online system late last year it became a mess. It took a few MONTHS from the start to finish. I couldn't access my account on my PC during that time but could in the app. During that time every transaction was either duplicated or tripled (later fixed). They changed the layout of the statement so that you needed a degree to understand it. I lodged a complaint and the person who dealt with it showed almost no interest. I imagine she was overwhelmed with other complaints.
Now there is NO information on the website or the statements to show how many Velocity points are earned. All you see is when they appear in your Velocity account. Imagine that? A points earning card with no details on your points! I've hitched my wagon to Virgin for flying and have now ben approved for an AMEX Velocity card which will be my main card. Unfortunately with Amex you need a backup card as a few business don't accept it otherwise I would have already cancelled the High Flyer card.
I've just noticed that they are no longer accepting new applications for the card "New applications: Applications for a new Virgin Money Credit Card are currently unavailable." Explains a lot. They want to get rid of existing pesky cardholders.

Customer service agents are polite and human, but they operate like robots. They simply repeat scripted responses and show little understanding of the actual issue. It feels like there is no flexibility or real support when you genuinely need help.
The card advertises “no preset spending limit,” but in reality that doesn’t mean much. When you actually need to spend for your business, transactions can still get declined or restricted. It creates uncertainty and defeats the purpose of having a supposed premium business card.
Another frustrating part is that they constantly ask you to make payments well before the due date just to continue using the card. Instead of functioning like a reliable charge card, it feels like you’re being forced to prepay repeatedly.
Overall, the experience feels misleading. The marketing promises flexibility and premium service, but the reality is restrictive and inconvenient.
