old school fan at minimum speed (and they move more air). And full speed on these things move a LOT of air (while still being fairly quiet). The mic was very sensitive in the videos, so I tapped a pen onto the table to give perspective of the sound.
The inbuilt light is great, 3 colour temperatures and many dimming levels. More than bright enough for a 3.6x3.6 room when needed, but also dims nicely for a quiet dinner.
The remotes are clean looking, non-finnicky and easy to use, you can pick your speed with one button click, they are radio too so you don't have to point them at the fan. Their wall mounts are also sturdy so you don't have to pick up the remote to hit the buttons while it's on the wall (which is great for walking in a room and turning the light on). We have yet to experience a summer with these, but our experience so far with them tells us that they will deliver wonderfully!
I love my new fans! And the kids love them too, no surprise as they helped me to chose those. The fans are low-profile, so they go very well with 2.4 ceilings in my place. Follow-up · The light has variable brigtness and variable colour e.g. from warm to cool. I have the brightness about half and it's bright. starters and worry whether you are choosing the 'right' brand etc. However; making the decision to buy 5 Claro Whisper DC fans and had them installed by a qualified electrician, was the best decision I have made in a long time. I am so happy with the fans themselves, they are super quiet up to a medium setting, they have 6 speeds and just saying I haven't gone past speed setting 3 as yet. They look very stylish and I think they would suit any style you have. The electrician was very happy with the fans in regards to the ease of installing them; they sit nice and flush to the ceiling....not sure if it's the electrician's installation, the fan itself or the house builder....haha. Great product Claro and thank you for selling a quality product at an affordable price!
Follow-up · The total time to install the 5 fans was less than 2 hours....they only had to replace the old fans. As I had stated I haven't had to use a speed greater than 3, which is the half way point. I find that with the fan set to 3 the airflow is quite sufficient and cooling for temperatures up to and including in the low 30's. The remote control is very easy to understand and use.

instead of looking like a motor, three blades and a base the whole comes together as a unit. With the Claro the blades don't meet. I think had they met it would just have given the fan a "finished" look and when in motion you would see the white of the joined blades instead of a black gap between the motor and the base. BUT having said that still a cute fan. Function: I think that the first speed on the 44inch fan could be lazier and inversely the top speed faster. Remote: The remote lets the fan down - it's overall clunky. I have the 44inch fan installed in my bedroom. My specific problem is that no backlight or indicator lights come on when you operate the remote so that if you wish at night to change speed or turn off the fan - without disturbing your partner by turning on a light - you are left in the dark - literally! Also there is nothing to indicate at what speed the fan is currently running, so whenever -day or night - I want to increase or decrease fan speed I am left pressing buttons until I find the right one - clunky. Having said that the great thing about this remote is that you can change the mode from winter to summer at the touch of a button - very convenient

updates for delivery. The ceiling fans were delivered days sooner then we expected, within four days. We replaced old metal ceiling fans for these new ones, I can honestly say our power bill has come down - why, how. Well the amount of air these ceiling fans circulate are phenomenal, the highest speed between 1 - 6 we have used is 2 when it was very humid and hot recently in QLD without the need of the aircon. All ceiling fans are easy to use with the included remote controls, are very quiet and efficient. Highly recommended seller. Highly recommended product. Great price. Packaging secure. .. Low wattage and energy cost as the fan has a DC motor (38W) and LED light (18W). 3 .. The remote control is easy to use. Six different speed settings for the fan, and the light can change colour and/or be dimmed (light is very bright to start with). There is also a very handy auto turn-off function e,g after 2 hours, so you can go to sleep while the fan is running and the fan will automatically turn off after the chosen time (2,4 or 8 hours). 4 .. Very quiet at low speed (1 or 2 on controller..goes to 6) and the fan puts out sufficent air flow at low speeds (1 or 2). I wouldn't think that longer blades are necessary. 5 .. Fan is suitable for 8 foot (2.4m) ceilings, it is relatively inexpensive compared to similar fans, and it has a stylish 'cowl' that surrounds the fan motor and DC controller.
Cons: 1 .. The fan is reversible using the remote control, but the manual states that the fan should not be running if the reversible button is pressed, as motor damage can occur. There should be a function of the remote control to stop inadvertent pressing of the reversible button. 2 .. There is a 4 year motor replacement warranty (not in home), and a further 3 years if the product is registered. There should not be a registration requirement for the longer warranty. There should also be a valid warranty applying to the light, and other parts of the fan e.g. the DC controller. 3 .. What is 'Natural Wind' mode on the remote control? No description could be found in the manual.

Whilst a nice looking quiet fan, with a low profile for low roof..I'm a little disappointed with the the clumsy remote.
