I would leave it as 0 if I could - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. This watch is a piece of rubbish! it has rashed up my daughter arm. the subscription is a waste of money as it is delayed which is useless in cases of needing to communicate. and onto of that it fell off her arm and dropped less than 50cm onto a wooded floor and the whole screen is cracked!!! absolute JUNK! Show details

We've had nothing but issues with both the garmin Bounce devices our two kids have. They constantly fail to deliver and send messages despite no connectivity issues. They constantly fail to provide location updates, rarely notify when our kids travel through geofenced areas, and hardly ever refresh accurately. Garmin support has been… Read more

terrible. The number of times we've been asked to factory reset the devices or restart is painful.

Voice message feature is poor quality and has no capability for the child to write a free text message, rather they have to choose from 20 presaved messages.

Garmins next best solution is to send the device (purchased new) back to garmin, only to be replaced with a second hand refurbished unit, not to mention the time the child is without a device while all the postage plays out... oh, or they'll happily take your money in a holding account while they send you one and wait for yours to be returned.

Battery life is terrible too. With minimal to no activity, the battery barely lasts a full school day.

I wouldn't recommend these to anyone. A simple dumb phone would be far more reliable and practical product.

Low resolution tracking, poor battery life, high ongoing fees. Poor features. Probably the worst available kids watch available. Do not buy this watch. I tried to return mine and Garmin refused to accept it. Show details

We have had a Garmin Bounce for our 11yo daughter since December 2024. We have to admit the reviews were so mixed for this whole segment of the market (kids activity tracker with limited communication ability). Overall the watch has performed well, we have had no location, or texting dramas like our users. We live in a regional town with good… Read more

access to the satellites via skyline (which I suspect plays a part in the poor comms). Too be honest our major gripe is the woefully poor battery life. The specs say users should get between 24 to 48 hours. It's more like 12 hrs (the school day). In this day and age for a company like Garmin to make a product that lasts this short amount of time is a joke. I feel they're taking the p*ss a bit. Even 4-5 days would be acceptable. Our sons Fitbit (I know completely different kids watch) lasts for weeks at a time! Our daughter doesn't play with the game functions so it's going flat just updating location data in a day! Come on Garmin.

This watch burnt my child! Garmin were absolutely useless to deal with and offered no compensation after 1.5 hours on hold. The teacher had to whip the watch off as it was burning my son in school. This product is dangerous and Garmin’s response was “yeah that can happen” DISGUSTING Show details

Not very good at all – *Battery is only good for 24 hours at most. *Messages sometimes take hours to go through. *tracking only works sometimes. *at $170AU a year contract/subscription. *buy a phone with a cheap prepaid it will work better then the watch. Show details

Very poor battery life! – My son loves the watch and was very excited to get it. Unfortunately, its battery life is nowhere near the 2 days advertised (which itself is not long). Also, the messaging service is slow and we have had experiences where messages don't reach the watch till long after they were sent. In the worst example, 2 days after sending!! This makes it… Read more

highly unreliable. The matter of battery drain I have tried to raise with Garmin Support and they have not been forthcoming with resolving the problem. I would not buy this product again and certainly do not recommend it.
