I have a claim with an insurer. They WILL NOT give me any way to confirm if I am even insured (GSK are a broker). I have asked multiple times for a way to contact the actual insurer, but they just don't respond, or send the same email they sent before, which doesn't help.
Follow-up · Followup: They didn't explain it. They just didn't say anything, Eventually the person I was dealing with sent an email with the official documents I requested. The insurer confirmed the details they gave me, so (in my case) they weren't scamming me, just being generally incompetent. I paid the excess 2 weeks ago, guess what? They haven't contacted me to arrange for repair for my vehicle. Hopefully it is because they lost my case after they fired Chad for not doing his job. I will be contacting them again to try and get someone else to get this moving.
