The dehumidifier itself works great, but there were a few really important things that were left out . First of all, it doesn’t come with a manual. If you want to read the instructions you have to look them up online, which is not only inconvenient, but lowers the chances of people actually reading the instructions, which can be very dangerous. my opinion, for an appliance to come with a physical instructions manual is the bare minimum, especially when it costs almost $500. In saying that, it did have a warnings sheet (which I’d assume is mandated by law) but even then, all of the instructions need to be read to know how to safely use the machine, which is why they need to be included in the box. Secondly, the filter comes wrapped in plastic, but there is no warning or direction ANYWHERE to take it off. The only reason I knew it was there was because I had read another review that forewarned about it. This, again, is just another risk added to the list for the sake of cutting corners. Lastly, a remote would have been a nice inclusion as the only way to remotely control the dehumidifier is if you download an app. Anyways, the dehumidifier is a bit loud but works great, I have found that closing the output vent about half way reduces the noise by quite a bit. There is a bit of a rattling sound when the vent is fully open. It has collected heaps of water and puts out a bit of warm air which is good. The water is easy to empty.

Have had this a few weeks now, and while I can't vouch for the longevity, I do want to say that it's a really good product. Previously had a Breville dehumidifier (the "smart dry connect") that I got for around the same price and this is a lot more thoughtfully designed. It is really accurate in measuring the humidity, works well even in the… Read more ·  1

cold, doesn't have many annoying beeps, and the tray is really easy to empty, unlike my Breville! I like that it has a cover on the top which stops dust getting in, as well as as a filter at the back.

So far the only possible downsides are: 1: it only comes in black. 2: it is a bit noisy on higher fan settings, although also very effective. 3: I wouldn't mind a slightly larger tray; since it is effective, I end up emptying the tray quite often. 4: the filter at the back also helps remove impurities, but that means you will have to buy new ones now and then, which might put some people off.

Overall, I'm very happy and have recommended it to others.

My one major complaint is that the company has a promotion where they said you get 10% off if you sign up for their newsletter, but they never sent me the 10% off... it seems they are better at making or sourcing dehumidifiers than they are at sending out discount codes.

Had a big problem with excess moisture around the house, love that it also works as an air purifier! We've placed it around the house and collected water from all rooms after heavy rain. Works a treat! Show details ·  1

It’s a very decent dehumidifier. A buddy of mine got it on a sale and keeps the air fresh but adds a bit of warmth. Show details ·  1

Good performance and design, but watch out for the hidden filter packaging! Would have given this a higher rating if not for a couple of issues. Firstly, I don’t understand why manufacturers still use feature stickers that leave a messy adhesive residue behind. In this day and age, we know what functions the product has when we buy it, so these… Read more

stickers are unnecessary—or at the very least, they should use a residue-free adhesive.

Secondly, when I first turned the dehumidifier on, it generated a very loud fan noise (around 60+ dB). I was dumbfounded because I also own an IonMax ION610, which is much quieter. On top of the noise, it captured very little moisture over the first eight hours.

Eventually, I figured out the problem: during factory packaging, the rear filter is wrapped in a clear plastic bag. However, there was no mention or warning for first-time users to remove this bag before operation. Thankfully, it didn't overheat or catch fire during those initial eight hours!

Once the plastic bag was removed, the dehumidifier performed amazingly. It has an elegant, minimalist design. That said, it is still a bit loud even at the lowest fan speed, so I can only give it 4 stars.

If you want a quiet dehumidifier specifically for a bedroom, I highly recommend the IonMax ION610. The Venta is much better suited for a living room.

Not sure yet, I bought 6 of your dehumidifiers, and I have had one problematic one. Even though a tube is connected to constant drain it filled the water tray, the same unit also started making a clicking noise for about 10 minutes on its internal fan, it has since stopped. But very worrying.
