Strata Manager Melissa Thompson managed a repair work in the common floor exceptionally well. The work was inspected by the engineers, and a professional report has been issued to personnel concerned confirming the satisfactory completion. Melissa’s professionalism in managing the repair work is greatly appreciated.

Utterly useless – had billed me $1,800/ for re-tiling my porch of less than one (1) sq meter with cheapest bathroom tiles in Macquarie Fields. when you employ [Content Removed] like [Name Removed] as Strata Manager who appears to have No knowledge of cost of construction/repairs, IUM is not able to retain/recruit experienced people because of the adverse reviews they attract on Google review/product review.

This is in sharp contrast to a Gentleman in his mid 40 who is the Strata Manager for another of my unit down Riverpark Drive, Liverpool who has vast experience & knowledge on Strata Management. He has been responsible for this complex for over 10yrs and discharges his duties to satisfaction of 100 plus landlords

[Name Removed]’s only objective is to please the Committee members, so that their contract could be renewed every year, not at all concerned about the other owners who needed to pocket out this large sum that too at one-go for cosmetic job which were not essential at all at this point of time when people are starving without food. .

Further subsequent to the recent AGM in April 2023, she circulated the “Minutes”of AGM, where almost 50 % of names mentioned as “Present” at the meeting never turned up including of a person who deceased 2yrs ago. She was accompanied by another girl who she claims from her office, but there was No introductory letter from the Co. as a proof she is actually employed by the Co. This shows the pathetic professional standards maintained by IUM. .

Previously when Sutton Family was managing this business they were a classy bunch they knew every inch of their business and, I had the privilege of dealing with them 15-20 years ago, they were highly professional, not like the present team

When it comes to attitude & arrogance of some staff of IUM, they seem to be [Content Removed], not seem to have embraced the Australian work culture. So keep away from IUM. People should read the reviews on Google Reviews; you will be amazed at what people have written/gone thru under IUM.

IUM strata has improved their services and communications with clients – Recently, in 2024 IUM has improved their services and communications with clients / residents and/or strata committee. This year I have noticed many positive changes. Our new strata Manager Helen Barakat is very proactive, efficient, transparent person with strong work ethics and great communication skills. 4) strata manager has no knowledge of the "Cosmetic Works By Lot Owner" in the Strata Scheme Management Act 2015, made allegations of claiming my PRIVATE CARPORT is "COMMON PROPERTY"; drilling a hole for my officially approved security camera was breaching the law and must need the approval from the owner corporation.

5) NCAT written comments & criticisms : -- a) the bylaws was poorly drafted & registered by IUM in Sept 2022; the bylaws 2 to be invalidated. b) the bylaw 2 is harsh, unconscionable and oppressive. c) all the fees charged the lot owner was inconsistency with the Service Agreement. d) IUM is under the scrutiny of NCAT "... the bylaws...and I will closely examine this later...".

Melissa Thompson has been employed by IUM Strata, Liverpool for many years and is an exceptional, professional Strata Manager. She always goes above and beyond what is requested of her in her job and is available whenever needed. She is helpful to all her clients and is very knowledgeable in what she does. very capable, professional and kind person. Any Strata would be privileged to have her. Our by laws were written by a Solicitor who represented us in NCAT cases and were found to be lacking and we lost the cases, with no fault to IUM and Mary. They have to be rewritten by the Solicitor.

Intercom not fixed over 10-12 months – I am still waiting for the Strata Management to fix my intercom, which I have raised with them in December 2023.

A good story about Strata Managers – Philip Pappas has managed our industrial estate for some years and has always been professional, responsive and efficient in his management. Working with him has been a pleasure. He is the best Strata Manager I have dealt with in a long career in property.
