Envirosun unit because we had one in a previous property and liked its features and reliability. We were very pleased with the purchase price from Installed Today and the whole process of ordering through to installation by JR Gas and Water which was quite seamless. Jarred and his co-installer were prompt, efficient and did a very neat job of the installation and explaining the system.
We are so happy we found JR Gas & Water when researching for a replacement hot water system. The cost of our replacement system was cheaper than what we had quoted with another company and the prompt communication regarding the installation date was a stand out! We are very happy customers.

Ruan and his partner were professional, friendly, and efficient. They removed the old system and installed the new iStore 270L heat pump hot water system smoothly and neatly. Their workmanship was excellent, they kept everything clean throughout the job, and they left the work area spotless when they finished.
We've already noticed a difference. The water is nice and hot, and hot water reaches the taps much faster than it did with our old Chromagen system. It's a noticeable improvement, and so far we're very impressed with the performance of the new iStore 270L.

The quoted price was also lower than an estimate received from another company, which couldn't specify install times. Once purchased, I received a message that installation was confirmed/scheduled for the next day.
The day of install, the heat pump arrived early in the morning while the install team arrived shortly after - 'Charlie' and assistant - outstanding. The installation was challenging due to the location near pool equipment and existing pipework, but they managed to do it in such a confined area. See before and after photos.

Easy to book! Guys turned up the next arvo replaced our old clunky rain water pump. Did a great job. Left the site tidy. Pump works like a dream with zero noise! weekend was ruined, my life's purpose was in question, and I was staring into the cold, bleak abyss of a winter without hot showers.
I am not a brave man. I tried a cold shower exactly once. I stuck one arm under the water and my soul immediately tried to leave my body. I gasped for air like I was floating on a piece of rubble after the Titanic went down. After that traumatic experience, I decided personal hygiene was overrated and resigned myself to smelling like old socks.
In a desperate, smelly haze, I found JR Gas & Hot Water online. My tradie-traumatised eyes couldn't believe what I was seeing: prices listed right there on the website. No "Call us for a dodgy quote" nonsense, just pure, beautiful transparency. Frankly, I was skeptical, but the thought of another cold shower (or another complaint from my wife) spurred me to take the plunge.
The very next day, two knights in shining armour, Charlie and Joshua, arrived lugging the giant iStore 270L barrel that was destined to save my bacon. They were respectful, patient, and didn't even laugh at my ignorant questions like, "Can't we just put it on the other side of the house, 50m away from the pipes?". They calmly explained the costs and downsides, saving me from myself. When they encountered the old gas heater cover in the wall, instead of leaving an ugly hole, Charlie had the genius idea to drill holes through it to run the pipes, making it look neat and tidy. It worked a treat!
Just when I thought it couldn't get better, the electrician Mark and his apprentice Mike turned up. They were absolute professionals, neatly cabling around my crooked, ghetto-installed awning without a single complaint and leaving my switchboard perfectly labelled.
I witnessed a miracle that day. Four tradesmen in a row who were punctual, professional, friendly, and did an immaculate job. JR Gas and Hot Water has cracked the code: they sell great systems at fair, transparent prices, and they've somehow managed to collect a team of tradies who are rarer than hen's teeth. If you're on the fence, just jump. You won't regret it. Highly, highly recommended!

From start to finish throughout the process of quoting, arranging the most suitable day and the activities of the installation was all seamless. We have no hesitation in recommending JR Gas & Water; very professional and great to deal with.
Follow-up · The decommissioning of the old Gas system and the installation and commissioning of the new iStore Hrat Pump HWS took just a morning, the pump comes on at 0800 each day and runs for about an hour, uses so little power it barely registers, we have HOT water when we need it for the next 24 hours. The installer explains how it works and they leave an owners Manual to study and refer to as required.

A special thank you to Kris, who took the time to systematically troubleshoot the heater. He carefully inspected the pilot assembly, checked the gas controller, and eventually identified the source of the problem. After replacing the controller with the correct LPG unit, the heater now ignites immediately and operates smoothly without the previous loud popping or roaring noise.
I also appreciate Jarred for honouring the warranty work and ensuring the issue was properly resolved rather than taking shortcuts.
While the diagnosis took more than one visit, what impressed me most was their professionalism, willingness to return, and determination to fix the problem properly. It's reassuring to deal with a company that stands behind its workmanship and doesn't walk away when things don't go perfectly the first time.
I would happily recommend JR Gas and Water to anyone looking for an honest and reliable gas plumbing service.
Had my old gas hot water system replaced with a new iStore 180L heat pump. Very easy to get a quick quote and schedule the installation. Joshua got it installed and up and running in short order with no problems. It even ended up costing less than I had expected and it works great. Can definitely recommend using JR Gas & Water.

service, even though I never asked for a quote without it. The communication was very poor, and in the end, only part of the job was done. To complete the “proper” job, he said I’d have to pay a $400 cancellation fee and the new quote, even though the team was already at my place to do the service. My husband even offered to help with part of the job, but the money-hungry Jerred insisted on charging an extra $400 plus the full amount of the new quote.
At least the workers who came were good. I feel sorry for them, having to work under such management. Don’t believe the response they’ll put below. Truat the negative reviews! They offer a voucher so customers can give them good reviews.
