 AI reviews summary

Nala has established a strong reputation for its wireless bras and inclusive sizing, particularly among customers with larger busts and those seeking maternity options. While the brand is widely celebrated for its "buttery soft" fabrics and all-day comfort, significant friction exists regarding sizing accuracy and a rigid returns process.

Pros
  • Exceptional Wireless Support: Frequently praised for providing genuine lift and support for larger cup sizes (up to H/J) without the discomfort of underwires.
  • High-Quality Fabrics: The "Bio Butter" and "Better Than Cotton" materials are repeatedly described as luxurious, soft, and breathable, with many users noting they feel like a "second skin".
  • Inclusive Sizing & Representation: Users appreciate the diverse range of sizes and the use of "real bodies" in website photography, which helps in visualizing the fit.
  • Aesthetic Variety: Unlike many brands for fuller busts, Nala is commended for offering a vibrant "rainbow" of colours and stylish designs that avoid a "frumpy" appearance.
Cons
  • Sizing Inconsistencies: A significant number of users reported that the online size chart is inaccurate, often resulting in bands that are too tight or cups that are too large; sizing also appears to vary between different styles and fabrics.
  • Difficult Returns Process: There are numerous complaints regarding the "no returns on sale items" policy, the requirement for customers to pay for return postage (even for exchanges), and slow processing times.
  • Strict Hygiene Rejections: Multiple reviewers flagged that returns were rejected due to alleged "marks" or "stains" that the customers dispute, leading to frustration and lost money.
  • Support & Shape Issues: Some users with very large or heavy busts found that the wireless styles eventually caused a "uniboob" or "triangular" shape, or lacked sufficient side support for movement.
Verdict

Nala is a strong contender for those seeking comfortable, stylish wireless bras, especially for maternity or everyday wear where underwire is undesirable. However, due to significant sizing variations and a restrictive returns policy, first-time buyers should consider visiting a stockist (like David Jones) to confirm their size before committing to a large online or sale-item purchase.

5 Trish  · Cannot believe I am saying this about a wire free bra but I am a convert. Purchased 3 different styles in the sale and this is my go to for lift and comfort
4 Esther Joseph  · Quality of the product was great however it just didn’t suit me. Returning the product was very easy with no issues.
5 annanxv250  · A bra that actually fits, I have a large bust and finding a comfortable, fitting bra. I don't feel like it covers everything and that nothing will fall out.
5 Annie W  · Nala make awesome bras for larger boobies. They minimise and support. Super comfy and very pretty.
2 Vicky Lancaster  · Unfortunately I don’t think these bras are suited to larger sizes - mine end up in a mono-bo%b I’m sorry to say The purchase and delivery system went fine
5 Biljana  · I am so happy with my Nala bra. It's comfortable and quality is excellent.

So it took me about 3 months to actually purchase - why? Because trying a new brand, sizing, reading other reviews, I needed to be sure. Well now I regret procrastinating for so long. So far, these bras have been the best fitting bras Ive ever bought! I initially bought too big and was going to exchange them, then mum came over, she has a bigger… Read more

cup size, tried them, and she left with them all ! The biggest ticket that sold me with this brand - Im a bigger girl with a bigger cup size. This brand advertises REALLL WOMENNN, with allllll their shapes and curves. Even with the bigger girls the bras looked like they fitted them effortlessly and looked super comfy. Well Im wearing them now, its all legit. Hats off to the legends behind the scenes. Ill continue to purchase going forward. There were a few hiccups with my initial order, even so, they were fast in their response and also continued to email me to inform me of what was happening with my order. This business is a winner

I purchased 2 different bras same size 12D. One bra was too small and I returned it. Was a simple process. The second bra was a perfect fit, super comfy and supportive, I purchased a couple more. Very happy

I absolutely hated their wireless support (free) bra but the new sports bra is the complete opposite: it's comfortable, flattering and so supportive! Was a little bit uncomfortable right at the edge of the underwire but after a few days that seems to have stopped hurting so really happy with it. Show details

I have bought Nala before without any issue but this time bought a range of products and found the sizing was not consistant across the styles. Half the bras I bought were a bad fit. I experienced short straps, digging in under the arms and one was too loose in both cup and band (same size). Next time I will be going "old school" and trying on Bras at the shop. Show details

I was recommended the bras from my cousin so thought id buy one to try. I have found the straps on the bra seem short compared to normal bras ive purchsed before,so it doesnt sit where it should on my back. I also went up a size to be safe and feel i could have gone up another size as my side fat is hanging out near my underarms. Sizes seem… Read more

small. The fabic of the bra is very soft, just a pity not a good fit. The delivery was fine it came in a reasonable time.

Terrible customer service. I bought the Knockout Padded T-Shirt Bra. My boobs felt like they were pointing sideways, which is never a good thing! I requested an exchange (not even a refund) due to it not fitting the way I liked, they refused to accept the product for an exchange due to it being faulty. The bra was worn for less than 5 minutes… Read more

while trying the fit and returned in the same condition it was received. The item is clearly not damaged and the fabric is not ripped, it is intentionally sewn that way, pic attached that they sent me to prove that it's faulty. Customer service was unhelpful and did not offer any other solutions even when I asked.

I have very large breasts. As an 20F cup it’s been hard to find any bras that are comfortable, I have spent 100s if not 1000s on bras during my life…I was complaining to a colleague one day how uncomfortable my bra was, she recommended NALA, I looked at the reviews and decided to give the wire free bralettes a go! Oh wow, very comfortable and… Read more

actually provide support. Then I ordered some NALA wired bras and WOW they’re perfect! I absolutely love them all. I have ended up with 8 new NALA bras in total… 6 wire free bralettes and 2 wired and got rid of the rest of my other bras, because I don’t want to wear any others now… The postage was quick and they have a good range. I might have to try the sports and bandeau bra next.

This bra looks and feels lovely. I went up a cup size as recommended by another review and the fit is great. The bra appears to give good lift but does not support at all well for movement and my breasts are bouncing as I walk. Probably not the best choice for larger breasted women. I am a D cup. Show details

Second time I’ve purchased Wear Nala wire free. I was happy with what I bought last year so decided to stock up. My body has changed a bit in the last year so I decided to go down a band size and up 2 cup sizes. I ordered 3 bras in the same 10 H size of the wire free style and each fits differently. One bra fits the same as bras I brought a year… Read more

ago at size 12 F. The second of the 3 the band is very tight but cup size fine. And the third doesn’t fit at all, too small in every aspect. And laid on top of each other you can see a big difference in sizes despite labels 10 H and being the same kind of style. This time my purchase has been disappointing. I’ve left it too long to return so I can’t say how it could have been resolved had I tried. My bad. But the inconsistency of sizes would make it hard to fix either way. They do seem to send you some random extras as a bonus, but nothing in a size you’ve ordered so not helpful. An 8 D in my dreams maybe.

Love the look of these bras, bought x2. The bras fit nicely under breast, however the cup sizing was off. The black pair the cup size a little big not by much. The white pair the cup size way off, like nearly two cups bigger. In other brands an E cup size is a great fit. In future I will purchase a cup size down. The underpants great fit. Show details

After seeing much advertisement of nala bras and how good and comfortable everybody was saying, I decided to buy the underwire strapless bra. I am extremely disappointed with this bra. The first time I put it on and wore it, it left indentations on both sides of my body where the seam is. The whole night wearing it was so uncomfortable that I… Read more

actually broke a fingernail constantly trying to adjust it so it wasn't hurting me. I decided to give it a second try. And once again, it was so uncomfortable wearing it and still left red marks on both sides of my body. So with all the advertising and all the hype of how wonderful this bra is and how comfortable it is, I am saying that no, for me, it was not. It was just so uncomfortable like others that I have bought in the past. I had ordered and received my correct size 16D.

I used to be a fan of the Nala bras as I need wire free however since the company has grown it is very difficult to get assistance. I purchased items that were the same size but clearly different sizes in the band and they refused a return because one item was from sale stock. orders that I have let slide but this time I thought I'd question it and their reply was that it's the different materials used. I was so disappointed because that is not my problem if the sizing is off. So now I have 2 bras I can't wear or return when Nala used to be my go to bra shopping site. I won't buy again after this.

For what it's worth the bras arent supportive and they stretch out at the band after a while, I've had mine unhook when I walk around. I used to be a fan but they have gone down hill in their quality.

Bought a 18 j black and tan bra. Best fit ever. I recently went to a bra shop and was fitted , they did not have my size 18h had to wait 3weeks from England cost me $100. By boobs just hanging like water in a ballon. With the bra from fitted shop my boobs looked like the skin was squashed in. With the nala bra cup make my boobs like they are held up not squashed. Show details

I have 3 styles in the non wired bras. The mesh bralette is my favourite, it fits well and is comfortable. They come in really pretty colours and I don’t end up with mono b#@b. Really quick delivery at a reasonable price is also nice. Show details

Follow-up  · All bras have no sign of wear and are still comfortable 1 year later. I still like the mesh bras the most of the three types and I wear it the most. Very comfortable with good support.

I am shocked as how supportive & comfortable this bra is! I thought it probably wont fit me right as none of them do or it will squash them. It holds my 18H up without wire WTH! I bought it to use as a sleep bra & it is comfy as to sleep in, will be buying more. I will look at buying other ones to actually wear during the day as they are so shockingly good! Show details

Nala communicated well by email to let me know what to expect, the item was packaged securely. I took a few days to adjust to the feel of an underwire bra and to get the straps right. The bras I ordered were comfortable right away. One of the brass lips to the side and is not as suppressed as I had hoped but 3 pair out of 4 pair purchased are great. Thankyou. I would recommend. Show details

I purchased the Support Wirefree Bralette 14C from Nala and was extremely disappointed with both the fit and the overall support. Despite the marketing, I found it provided very little shape or separation, creating a "uniboob" effect rather than a flattering silhouette. There was also no side support, and the wide underband rolled up making it… Read more

uncomfortable to wear.

What frustrated me most was the significant difference between the advertised images, incentivized reviews online and my real-life experience. The product simply did not perform as I expected based on the marketing claims. I would encourage potential buyers to do their research and look for independent reviews before purchasing, particularly if support, shape, and comfort are important to you.

I was also highly disappointed by the fit guide and returns process. After finding that the bra didn't fit properly, I spent over a week communicating with customer service through four separate emails. I was asked to try the bra on multiple times, take photos, answer fit-related questions, and follow their recommendations to help assess sizing and identify a suitable alternative. Following this process, I paid for the return postage and sent the bras back for exchange.

To my surprise, the return of one bra was rejected because Nala claimed the bra showed signs of wear. The only times the bra had been worn were for a few minutes at a time while following customer service's requests to assess the fit and provide photographs. At no stage during these exchanges was I warned to be particularly careful about potential marks or advised that trying the bra on as requested could jeopardise an exchange or return. After investing significant time following their instructions and paying return postage out of my own pocket, I was left with products that don't fit and no resolution.

My biggest disappointment is the gap between the customer experience promised by the brand and the reality I encountered. Between the misleading fit expectations, the sizing issues, and the handling of the return, I regret my purchase. I'm sharing my experience so that other consumers can make a fully informed decision before spending their money.

Sent to Nala as an addition to their outgoing return or exchange emails and website to help consumers.

Dear Customer,

To help ensure your item remains eligible for a return or exchange, we kindly recommend following these guidelines when trying on your garment:

• Ensure your skin is free from deodorant, lotions, perfumes, makeup, and other personal care products. • Where possible, try garments on after showering and before applying any products. • Avoid trying on garments when perspiring, as sweat and product residue can transfer onto the fabric.

Please note that garments returned with stains, marks, odours, or other signs of wear may not meet our return and exchange conditions and may be returned to you.

These simple steps can help avoid disappointment and ensure your return or exchange request can be processed smoothly.

Purchased the Padded Wirefree Bralette. It looks good under a tshirt, but I couldn't wait to take it off. I had been looking at Nala bras for some time. I always really loved the choices of colours. I finally purchased 2 x Nala bras. They are pretty, and well made. I think they are expensive for what they are though. I am a size 12 E. These bras offer me no more than the $16 bras I buy at K Mart. I am a bit confused as I thought they had cotton in them, but no, all nylon. They are nice, colours are great, but, no, I feel a bit conned. Show details

Hallelujah! Finally found a super comfy, affordable bra! The sizing is was a little off for me, after following their size guide, I ordered the 12B, which turned out to be too big around the band. that did not fit and the return process was easy and I received a refund relatively quickly. So, customer service is great! The bra itself is amazing. I didn’t love the fit of this, maybe the cup size is a bit small and that’s why. I found the straps to fold up and same as the band under bust which kinda dug into me. It did okay for a bra without any wires though. Show details

Fabrics are nice, sizing is not standard and varies across their different styles. Maternity bra not as easy to use clasps as other bras I've tried. The mesh bra bunches, not seamless across the body. Tried the underwear, good coverage however does ride up the bum. Overall would not purchase again.
