Considering lodging a complaint with ACCC regarding mishandling of consumer data, and inadequate notice given of account suspension.

terms and conditions. They allow receipts from your spouse and underage children in the house. Anything else is considered work, friend, or extended family related. Not sure how they be a tell the difference if you scanned your spouses receipt or a cousin??? This company has a common theme with complaints and my complaint is backed by hundreds of other complaints. Can be easily verified with a simple Google Search for “Receipt Jar reviews.” I wouldn’t waste my time with this company as there are several other receipt scanning apps.

Suspended after trying to cash out $50. They take your data then don't pay out the points you've earned. Just look at Reddit, TrustPilot, here and many other sites of all the false bans on accounts. They're an unethical company and should be held accountable for what they are doing.

counter top or another flat surface and I've never scanned more than 1 receipt at a time. They wouldn't reply to my email to show me what they mean so that I could fix the problem.

This is a scam. I uploaded for more than 2 years. When you are about to redeem your point they will deactivate your account saying, we found fraud activity. They just need the data to sell and profit from that. Don’t waste your time on this.

I have uploaded receipts for months and when I decide to cash in- they would not grant my giftcard becasue I did not respond to an email. Really? this is a scam. Fetch and Coinout are legit. and you get hese "shakes" that mean nothing. Terrible app. Now I know they ever intended to send me the giftcard. Should have read the reviews and talked to people before doing all the work and getting nothing out of it.

I have been uplaoding receipts to receiptjar.com for months. When I went to cash out my $100, they claimed these weren't my receipts. They suspended my account. When I asked them to provide proof, they ignored me. Please help.

Uploaded for about 6+ months, finally got to $5 or $10 - DIDNT CASH OUT. Went on long overseas trip - couldnt open app in UK. Found the account was cancelled - no activity in 4 weeks. They would not entertain getting it back - i broke their terms. Waste of time for all that data. I got lucky at losing a small amount of money and time wasted. This was after cashing out points for a $20 Amazon gift card, which their email acknowledgment stated:

"Once your request has been submitted, we will review your receipts before issuing your reward. It can take 5-10 business days to process your redemption depending on your account score. "

Yet their own website states: "It takes around 5 business days to process redemption. During the 5 days, our team will review your account and check that the majority of your receipts are valid, and your referrals are legitimate."

The app has already scanned and approved all these receipts.

In a email from June 3 I told them:

"You need to check your app's coding.

It has been randomly rotating images taken of receipts for months!"

The first or second image for random receipts would be rotated from the upright position after the image was taken. There was nothing I could do to fix the issue as it was all due to the app.

They responded not by fixing the issue but the following generic reply:

"Hi,

Thank you for sharing this feedback.

If you encounter this camera issue again in the future, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Support team so we can assist you and investigate the matter.

As mentioned, when uploading receipts, please ensure the images are clear and meet the following criteria:

Clear, upright, and well-lit Placed on a plain background with no other receipts in the image Showing all key details: store name, date/time, item names with their amounts, and the total

Stay away form these thieves!

Do NOT use this app. I cashed out at $50 and received an email that my account was deactivated for abusing their terms but submitting duplicate receipt. Which I did not! What a SCAM!!!

I spent 2½ years uploading receipts on ReceiptJar, finally reached $100 and tried to cash out. As soon as I did, they emailed me with some nonsense reason to suspend my account so they didn’t have to pay. After this happened, I looked up reviews and saw plenty of people had the same experience. It feels like they make you wait till you cash out just to deny your reward at the end. Save yourself the time and frustration – avoid this app.

Suspended my account after I requested a $10 and requests to pay me. I've emailed multiple times about an appeal and details of the suspension and nothing. Very shady behavior and it seems like it's a common occurrence. Will not pay you. Get CoinOut instead.

They have suspended my son's account, accusing him of having two accounts which is not true. They have now also suspended my account, giving the same reason! This is unbelievable! All efforts gone to waste! Please stay away from this app and let as many people know as possible! A total waste of time!

Took 2 1/2 years to build up enough points for $100 voucher. Upon claiming it was declined as I had been travelling and didn't use the app for 30 days. They took all 19000 points and gave me nothing. Happy to collect all of your data and sell it for profit but won't pass that profit on to you. Customer service said they wanted to help to a public forum but in emails was pretty much 'too bad this is our policy'. SCAM SCAM SCAM

Ran into a problem receiving my rewards, contacted RJ customer service, and after a few emails back and forth my problem was solved and I was very happy. Thank You RJ customer service.

Please refrain from using this app. I was overseas for a family emergency. They suspended my account and for more than $100 in gift cards. Savings always help. It is fraudulent and unethical experience. I would never recommend this app and will not use this app again.

DO NOT USE THIS APP – I try to redeem for $50. It's still pending. Then the support sent an email to tell me your account is not active when my account still active and they said cannot give you voucher, what a [Content Removed] app and took me so long to get $50 but they won’t give to you, don’t ever use it.

Great – Great app, easy to use. They do pay you, it’s not a lot but it’s worth it to download this app as you make some money and it’s a place to upload your receipts if you want to look back on your purchases.

Fake Terrible – Waste of time. I redeem it for $50. It's still pending. I received an email that I had submitted a fake receipt. They took all the points and left it with pending.

I just submitted points for a $20 gift card. They deactivated my account saying I was receipt diving. What does that even mean? Total scam.

Scam. Use another company that will take your points. Too bad if you go away for a month as these creeps will take the lot and close your account.
