I am located in Encounter Bay, 80 km south of Adelaide. I did a five hour caravan towing course yesterday with "SA 4WD Training" and can't speak highly enough of the company, and especially my trainer Brett. Having towed a 450 kg pod trailer across the country for 1000s of kilometers, I thought I knew many things already. Well, I didn't, and I… Read more

learned so much that was new to me, as well as becoming aware of a few bad habits I had picked up through lack of formal instruction. The information Brett provided was up-to-date, comprehensive and very well structured. He calmly and patiently guided me through practical tasks like hitching, unhitching and backing the caravan, always perceptive to times when I needed more in-depth knowledge or a little breather. The five hour course was so enjoyable and packed with value that I'm thinking of booking the 4WD course as well, even though I'm not an off-road kind of person! If you want to become a better, safer, more confident and switched on driver and caravanner, do yourself a favour and invest in such a training course - it is 100% worth the time and money!

We had an amazing experience with these guys!!! Our focus was on learning to tow our caravan with confidence. We had a little experience with towing a small van but with a newly purchased dual axel 20 foot Jayco Journey and Landcruiser Manual 4WD thought that we should get some training. Jayco Adelaide put us onto these guys. Best decision we have ever made. We learnt so much. No brainer to hook up with them. Do yourselves a favour!!!

I had an interesting, educative and fun day doing one on one 4wd training with Brett. Lots of technical advice delivered in an easily absorbed way, and also a lot of helpful general driving tips. Thoroughly recommended

Brett was fantastic! He alleviated my fears of towing on small roads, roundabouts and suburban driving. His patience and understanding was second to none! I cannot recommend this course high enough

On Saturday 23-8-2025 I attended a 4WD training course led by Brett. He provided lots of useful information and tips mixed with practical driving experience over different road / track surfaces. Brett's communication was excellent, mixed with an… Read more

element of humour and a strong emphasis on safety. My son and I learnt a lot from the days experience. Well done Brett. Regards Richard

Follow-up  · There were many safety aspects discussed in the course. The one which surprised me most of all was regarding the snatch strap attachment. We had to remove the tow ball attachment piece at the start, and only attach the locking pin in the fixed towing socket. I hadn't realised the possible danger if attaching a snatch strap to a towball. My son… Read more

Highly recommend Caravan Towing course with Paul. Paul's expertise, experience and extensive knowledge exceeded all expectations. I never thought I would be able to reverse let alone park our caravan but with Paul's teaching methodology I succeeded. Tina was accommodating to our needs throughout the booking process. Every Caravan owner needs to do the training course offered by SA 4WD training.

Well worth every penny – Can not recommend them enough for caravan towing training. This should be a requirement before anyone tows a trailer. I’m confident I can manage the caravan on my own. 5 hours and worth every penny - then some!
