Spacetalk Life watch purchased as a safety device for my elderly mother. Since November 2025, the device has been unreliable and I have spent months trying to resolve issues via email with no success and no phone support. The device has now failed in critical situations: - My mother had a fall and the watch did not alert me - The watch has failed… Read more

to call and only sent a text - I had issues pairing the watch to the app - I cannot access remaining credit or cancel any ongoing renewal

This product is marketed as a safety device but is not fit for purpose.

I requested a full refund including remaining credit, however the company refused and stated their terms do not allow refunds.

Under Australian Consumer Law, this is a major failure.

Horrible customer service. Blocked my email after they couldn't solve the issue. New app wiped everything and instead of solving it professionally, it's all too hard so like the current culture it just gets brushed to the side. Soon your watch will be obsolete.

Really disappointed - Had connection issues and had to purchase a new SIM through Spacetalk, now having issues with pairing. Took our money quickly but support appears nonexistent. Sent a message through the contact us and still haven't got a response 6 days later. I have been on the chat line for almost 2 hours waiting for someone to pick up this… Read more

chat, Really bad support. Hope the issue is resolved or will have to go through what I expect will be a horrendous process for a refund of the upfront payment for the service.

Just an update I am now almost 4 hours on the "CHAT HELP" still no real person contact.

Constant issues with both the software and the hardware of this watch. Screen stopped working (fixed under warranty). Had to re-pair watch and factory reset it numerous times (which is frustrating and time consuming to reset-up everything!) not worth this amount of stress! Show details

The watch itself is great for an older person looking for security on their wrist, and the SoS function and GPS locator in the app are great for carers, however the communication from Spacetalk and the process to connect the watch to the app are not good at all. Spacetalk advertise that their app is free when you purchase their sim, however IT… Read more

IS NOT FOR THE SENIORS PRODUCT. Once you've installed the pre paid sim and connect the Life watch to the Spacetalk app on your phone, they tell you to purchase a further subscription to the app. You can see from my screenshots below that when purchasing the sim, they advertise that the you get the Spacetalk app FREE with the prepaid sim.

No where on the Spacetalk mobile plan page (https://spacetalk.co/pages/mobile-plans) or on the Critical Information Summary document does it state that the app is NOT included FREE for the Life (seniors) watch. It does reference it ONCE in the FAQs, but I had to be shown where by the Spacetalk rep via Messenger.

In addition to this, by the time I connected the Spacetalk sim to the Spacetalk Life watch (purchased from Harvey Norman), there were already FIVE SPAM calls in a Chinese language. This is not acceptable.

I emailed Spacetalk support with my complaint and they took a very long time to reply, but didn't resolve my issue. I then contacted Spacetalk on Messenger, where the responded within a few hours, however they were not answering my questions properly and wasting time going around in circles asking for information, but then giving me the same response - that I need to pay for the app. Once I wrote this review and requested mediation, someone finally answered all my questions and resolved my issue.

We haven't experienced the over heating issues as mentioned in other reviews (yet), however I will update this if we do.

dont buy it. bought it from telstra, not told with subscription monthly for 8month, otherwise I wont buy it. no subscription you cant use the gps even. they are double charging, I beleive this company wont survive longer. and also their app is super hard to use, and hard to repairing, and hard to reset as there is a default password that I was not told before. and the watch is slow and not sensitive at all Show details

The monthly subscription needs to go – There's an 8 dollar monthly subscription you have to pay to use this watch, this is in addition to a phone plan (the cost even doubles/triples/quadruples if you want to use the app on more than one phone). I've seen the company say it's so that google GPS can be used or so that data can be stored securely on their server. If this is true, these… Read more

costs need to be incorporated in to the upfront cost of the watch itself.

Phones themselves don't have these costs with GPS or data use (that, to note, is data that we provide and is quite irrelevant to the use of the watch and can be stored on the watch itself).

I'd not recommend this watch because of the subscription costs. Unless I can get a specific break down of why this cost is legitimate, it's just a cash grab by the company wanting to take financial advantage of people wanting/needing this new type of technology.

If the company responds to this post, Please do not just give a generic response, give us a detailed break down of what this subscription costs does, as it doesn't make any sense.

Have to wear an extra watch as well to glance at time – Awful to see time. Mostly it goes to some other screen. Takes alot of effort to find the time when you want to see it quickly. Step counter extremely inaccurate. Wont light up as it should when wrist is turned. No longer shows up battery percentage. Show details

Spacetalk Life(saver)! – Bought this for my mother who lives alone after she had a fall. It’s great as she doesn’t have mobile phone so I can call her when she’s out or see where she is via the gps feature on the app. Provides peace of mind with the safety features built in. Support staff were really helpful too. Would highly recommend. Show details ·  1

Ohhhh Dear – We really want to like these but it's hard. I encouraged my parents to get these and we've struggled with them. They over heat a few times daily. Can't connect in the house to the Telstra signal (which is a real worry). And maybe simple for us but my parents can't utilize most of the features like text(too small) . Seems no wifi connect either… Read more

which could potentially eradicate the low to no signal. I'm wishing we had just got a normal smart watch and then they wouldn't have to pay a monthly fee for two people on top of all the problems.
