Killed my cat, did not treat any of his wounds, just gave pain killers, an antibiotic that I think he was then allergic to as about 5 hours later at an emergency vet he stopped breathing. Attempted to give IV fluids however they could not find a vein because of his low blood pressure and just put it under the skin and then did not tell me they… Read more
could not find the vein and instead said how they put it in some lump no clue what that means as there was no lump. They then wanted to run an MRI, ultra sound and x ray for well over 2.5k and keep my cat over night so they could charge me even more. I took him to an emergency vet hospital and they did an ultra sound for 150 finding no internal bleeding, but he has a bruised lung and I think the antibiotic they gave him caused an allergic reaction as he was struggling to breathe. I think he would have had a better chance to live if I did not take him to these pet hating people and just attempted to do first aid myself. Horrible vet do not take your pet to them if you love them or if you like having money, these people will drain your account to the best of their ability.
Caring, friendly & very approachable – Changed to Fadden vets after receiving terrible service from our existing (very long term) vet in Calwell, who had changed hands & were now uncaring & money hungry. We've been taking our dogs to Fadden for about 19 years now & I have nothing but the very highest praise for them. Each Vet we've seen has been so friendly. Whenever we had a health… Read more
issue with a dog they were always very thorough & explained what the issue was, what could be done, possible outcome, & an estimate of the costs involved. Follow up visit after surgery was free. The absolute best praise I can give was from May last year when our very elderly dog's health rapidly declined & we had to make "the decision." The reception staff were lovely, & when I asked if I could pay the next day she told me there was no rush, just when I was ready. They let us stay in the car with our dog & the vet came out to the carpark & carried him in for us. She explained the procedure & gave us as much time as we wanted to say our goodbyes. When we were finished she let us out the back door so we could cry in private. She then carried him out to our car as we wanted to bring him home. When I went in the next day to finalise my account the lovely receptionist was close to tears too & told me I shouldn't have rushed in to pay. A week or so later we received a lovely condolence card with our dog's paw prints & a sweet poem as a keepsake. We intend on continuing to use this practice for many years to come. I cannot recommend them highly enough - they're the best!
Trusted and loved family Vets – I have taken our furry family members to the Tuggeranong Veterinary Hospital for well over 25 years. I don't think you can get a better recommendation than that. We have received nothing but the best of care, medical needs, compassion, friendship and much more from everyone at Fadden over the years. They have always treated our animals as if… Read more
they were their own. I can't even imagine how stressful and difficult it is for them working through covid and the Vet shortage situation in Australia at the moment.
Great experiences – I am pretty stunned by these negative reviews. I have experienced nothing but excellence at this veterinary clinic. The reception staff and nurses, esp the lovely Mandy, are always so helpful and friendly and I find the vets fantastic. I took both my cat and dog there in the last two weeks for their annual vaccinations and checks ... the vet we… Read more
saw, Dr Christina Salvage, was so caring and nothing was too much trouble. I for one am a fan of this clinic. I find their prices comparable to what friends pay at other vets and never ever have I experienced rudeness from anyone there ... quite the opposite. My pets mean the world to me. I would never put them at risk so that's my biggest vote of confidence. All vets seem to be very busy nowadays but I have never felt that Fadden vets neglected or rushed my pets.
Terrible place stay away if you care about your animal – Terrible place do not care about animals. Had a biopsy done on the Monday and was told we should get a phone call on Wednesday, we rang three times on Thursday and let messages no one rang back and rang them twice on Friday and finally made an appointment to find out about the biopsy. They do not call you back. Our dog had cancer tried to ring and… Read more
talk to a vet about putting our dog to sleep and no one called us. Not impressed with the place at all from reception to the vets. They just don't care!
Used to a good place – Before this place became greedy, it was a good place to take your pet, we have been going there of over 20 years and now its time to find another vet. To these people its all about ripping people off and forget the pet.
They don’t care - full stop – They don’t care about your pet or respect you as a customer. I wish I would’ve read the reviews before - they are so right! Indeed very bad customer service, rude lady, as a practice: money hungry and incompetence not missing. Maybe they should only use more experienced vets in dificult cases, however as a practice not good. Paid over 300 and I… Read more
have no diagnostic, cat still sick and they don’t have time to see her again, no accountability, no care or empaty, wasting money and gambling with your pet health to go there! I went there with my cat for many years, for vaccinations, mainly, but not going any more! Realy bad practice to take your pet to! Especially when pet is sick or injuried.
COVID 19 – Need to have clear signage in regard to COVID-19, and a better attitude towards customers. Making people wait outside before & during the appointment, protects them but what about others. You also have to stay outside the whole time even to pay. Also the attitude of the reception staff needs to be adjusted.
Incompetent and money hungry – My family had been taking our Weimaraner's here for the last 15 or so years and more recently our Dogue de Bordeaux. They used to be much better when [name removed] owned and operated it. They used to be really well priced as well, however the last couple of times I have been I have been less than impressed by the mediocre service and inflated… Read more

Took our dog for a check up in October last year.
The vet checked his teeth and told me they would need a clean in the near future. We left it at that....
We thought the dog was getting old as he was becoming very docile and was a little off his food (XL dog and 6 years old). About 4 weeks ago I looked in his mouth and saw there was what looked like large cavities in his lower canines and front part of his upper canines appeared to be worn away. Called Tuggeranong veterinary and asked for a recheck. They rechecked his teeth and advised all four canines might need removing.
When I asked why this wasn't picked up earlier (October last year or any of the previous years the dog has been in there for vaccinations etc) the vet mumbled something incoherent about not looking specifically at his teeth.
They then tried to charge me for correcting their stuff up. I had to stand in reception and argue over a measly $45. Needless to say I wasn't impressed.
I took the dog elsewhere for a second opinion. The other vet took the time to look him over properly and advised the cavities and wear were caused by the teeth grinding each other away over time due to the dog's underbite.
Apparently Tuggeranong veterinary had actually been aware of this issue previously, as his vet record mentioned they had noted impacting teeth in previous consultations. Due to the incompetence of Tuggeranong veterinary, the dog spent months suffering with exposed canines roots which they should have been across and sorted before the pain started.
Actually very very unhappy this vet and their service.
Im actually also very unimpressed with Google reviews who for some reason removed this exact same review from Google. Like I could make this up....
Money Hungry – Have used this vet within out family for over 20 years!!! Moved house advised reception but they entered the wrong house number, human error these things happen. I didn't receive any invoices and called to make an appointment and was denied as I had an outstanding invoice that I wasn't aware of, paid the invoice straight away. Reception staff… Read more
were quite rude. As a client for over 15 years not including all of my childhood pets which also went there, I feel that the practice has lost its appeal. A few other issues have occurred in the last few years which has left me feeling sad and disappointed. Will be considering a new vet. Our family's pets would have been using this vet in total of 30 years. Sad for the owner who was nice back in the day. I should note that I have never had an outstanding invoice apart from this one.
Aggressive rude and money hungry – After paying in full at the time of consultation .I received letters from the office manager stating that my account was not paid, the office manager was rude and refused to apologize,,After approaching the male owner he was rude abusive and threatening, and arrogant.Avoid this practice that is money orientated, rude and disrespectful, there are… Read more
better and cheaper practices out there that value decency and clients without abuse and an effort to obtain extra money for services that have been already paid for,DISGUSTING
Over-servicing, substandard practice - Rude and aggressive – As a pet owner you always look for a reliable vet you can trust and who loves animals, displays the interest and affection and knowledge and skills as a veterinarian. Nothing like that can be found in Tuggeranong Veterinary Hospital in Fadden. One of the veterinarian my pet had a misfortune to be seen by did not provide the basic of the standard… Read more
check up expected with the vaccination. However it was blatantly obvious that despite the lack of performance and clinical skills vet proceeded to over-service, create a fake illness with the intention to top up the costs simply because pet was in good health so he created a fake condition. When the complaint is raised with the practice owner, instead of offering a second opinion and covering all grounds that nothing was being missed during the check up, the practice owner pursued with the intimidation and threats. That is the ultimate bullying, nothing short of abuse - meaning they decide to top up their fee for the sake of money grabbing not for the sake of your pet as vet did not even perform a physical examination. We see our pets every day, we observe their behaviour, we know when they are unwell. A vet who hardly saw the pet and displayed a total disinterest to see the animal is not the one to judge. Unprofessional, aggressive and rude. Do not go there!
