year and I wasn't able to cancel in time as I was mid-travel, I contacted support to request a refund (less than 24hrs over the due date).

The agent told me I'd already had a refund before, so they couldn't issue another. I explained that the previous "refund" in April 2025 wasn't a change of mind — I downgraded from Surfshark One to Starter because I couldn't get the One features to work. I kept paying and stayed as a customer. That's not someone trying to game the system.

During the chat, the agent asked me to cancel a dispute I had raised with my bank, suggesting Surfshark would then be able to help me directly. I cancelled it in good faith. They then came back and said they still couldn't do anything for me.

I now can't reopen that dispute on my end either (PayPal system set up this way).

To summarise: I've paid for a service I can't fully use, I stayed loyal as a customer, I was asked to drop my only remaining option with the implication it would be resolved, and then it wasn't. I'm left with no refund, no working service, and no route back through my bank. I still do not have an active service as it has been paused by Surfshark despite having paid already. Absolutely ridiculous customer service and disregard for customer loyalty.

I'm documenting this and escalating. If you're considering Surfshark, just be aware of how they handle things when something goes wrong. Just go with any other VPN provider that has a better rating.

[Edit 02 Aug 2026] Beware surfshark support will ask you to close the case with PayPal before they can assist further. Do not do this as you will have to jump through hoops - almost impossible if you do this. Do not trust them. My issue is still pending (out of Surfshark hands) and even now don't have an active service despite payment charged. Their auto response to contact "Miles" is also redundant.

Nonsense provider 0 support have contacted them several times about issues they refused to respond. Cancelled my service twice. Avoid them unprofessional.

IF All the websites from these majors is not accessible just turn the VPN off or change VPN. AdGaurd is alright but not alright for faster smooth gaming experience winning rewards.

I will end my review with this: You should now have a better understanding then what I had understood from the beginning about VPN’s especially learn more about ‘VPN Unlimited’. Truth of be told: “if you are looking to waste your time and waste your time in games then I will suggest you to give KeepSolid VPN Unlimited a try.”

had to go elswehere. Some time later I checked back in and was surprised to find they were advertising Windows 7 support again so I decided to try them again. Unfortunately with these guys the only way to try again was to subscribe, so I subscribed in good faith figuring that if everything went well I would continue using them again anyway. Unfortunately a few minutes after setting up it was clear that the Windows 7 version of the app did not work - it gave the impression of working but no websites or apps could connect. I contacted their support (who were great this first time) and asked them to assist me getting my subscription cancelled and my money refunded. At this point less than an hour had elapsed since I paid. The agent tried to troubleshoot and assist me to get the app working as he said it is supposed to be working for Windows 7, but although we got some extremely limited success routing through Tor (which was not a paractical solution and the connection was slow and unstable anyway) he showed me how to request a full refund. I followed the process, thanked him and ended the chat. It struck me a day later that I never even received an acknowlegment of my request for a refund after I applied so having still heard or received nothing I applied again in case the first request never went through. 3 days later still nothing so I contacted their support again, and this time apart from an acknowlegment that there appear to be 2 requests in there (like this was the first time anyone had even checked), what I mostly received was a lot of maybe's and attempts to buy time without even any assurance that they were even considering it. I advised them that it doesn't take that long to reverse a payment - particularly when the request comes in minutes after it was made but to no avail. So at this point they have my money, I have no service and no way of even knowing the status of my request. I have lost all faith and trust in Express VPN

Best VPN – Surprised to read the couple of reviews on here, as I've been using this VPN for a couple of years & I've not experienced any of the issues. I pay $7 a month and it's the best VPN, I'd highly recommend it

stream, "Error 008" and "Media Playback Issues" messages from Kayo. Quality of stream is also very poor and pixelated. Bandwidth was still fine at 70mbs. Requested that if they could not provide the main service they advertise to Australians overseas (Kayo streaming), do not charge me until you can provide it reliably. Continued to be charged and given the, "we are not sure why it is not working, we will investigate the issue", when I asked when I could expect resolution to the issue, an answer was not provided. If you are looking to watch Kayo overseas, fine a different VPN until these guys sort the product out.

Disgusting pathetic liars. New owners purchased the company, didn't do their due diligence, and SCREWED existing customers. Just disgusting, almost certainly criminal behaviour.
