Moira was a joy to work with as she assisted me - ensuring my website was set up, answering all of my questions quickly and being incredibly responsive when I asked for a change to my website or needed another type of help.

I have heard that some competitors of Click Start Digital set up your website and leave you to work it out – that is not my experience with Click Start Digital. Just one of the reasons I chose to buy a Click Start Digital package is that in my research as to which company I would pay to help me set up my ecommerce business, the Click Start Digital founder Samantha and the team came across as highly organised and with a broad knowledge of how to set up and run an ecommerce business. Once I was working with them this was absolutely the case. The staff are also incredibly professional and measured. I felt that Moira guided me through the process from a customer-led perspective – being there to assist me whenever I needed it and supporting my choices.

The staff at Click Start Digital either have in the past or are currently running their own ecommerce businesses and I cannot count how many times one of them has made a fantastic suggestion for my specific website or the general running of my business on top of what they teach in their comprehensive training. Also the Shopify training from Rebecca and the social media training from another Rebecca has been everything you would want to enable you to run your ecommerce business. Yes you have your training as part of your package with Click Start Digital - but it is the level of accessibility to staff who have specialist knowledge in all areas of ecommerce which made the price of the package excellent value for me.

I ordered the supposedly “free” Sell Like Crazy book and paid $2.99 for postage. Only after completing the transaction was I informed that delivery could take 2–4 weeks. I submitted a written cancellation approximately two hours and 24 minutes later and followed up when nobody responded.

Support agent [Name Removed] repeatedly failed to acknowledge the central issue: the material delivery timeframe was disclosed after I had paid. Instead of engaging with that straightforward concern, her responses simply recycled the same script - that an automated system had dispatched the book and I could return it under their policy.

I repeatedly asked the company to take responsibility for the return by arranging interception or supplying a prepaid return label. [Name Removed] continued to avoid addressing that request. Blaming an “automated fulfilment system” is not a meaningful response; it is an admission that the company’s internal processes take priority over promptly submitted customer requests.

The contradictions were equally unimpressive. The original confirmation warned of a 2–4 week delivery period, yet [Name Removed] later claimed the estimated timeframe was five business days. When asked to identify where the relevant delivery timeframe had been disclosed before payment, there was, again, no acknowledgement and no answer.

The $2.99 is insignificant. What is astonishing is the amount of effort [Name Removed] and Sell Like Crazy appear willing to expend avoiding accountability for it. A competent business could have resolved this in minutes. Instead, I received canned responses, deflection and the continued repetition of a return policy that did not address what had actually happened.

For a business associated with a book about sales, the contemptuous lack of ownership, listening and basic customer care is painfully ironic. If this interaction reflects the company’s sales philosophy, the most useful lesson may be how quickly trust can be destroyed over three dollars.

My advice: screenshot every advertisement and checkout screen, scrutinize every condition before paying, and expect little more than scripted obstruction if you need genuine assistance.

It gets worse. I realized I was overcharged and requested a cancellation and full refund less than 24 hours after purchase. Their own official terms explicitly state a 72-hour window for standard products and a 60-day money-back guarantee for Linux, Windows, and WordPress web hosting. Despite meeting these terms perfectly, they refused to issue a full refund.

This company engages in deceptive pricing practices, overcharges customers, and refuses to honor their own written refund policies. They are dishonest, unethical, and completely untrustworthy. Save your money and sanity—take your business to a reputable provider.
