the plan for 3 months after which time I was told I couldn't renew again as the plan would no longer be available. This suited me because the company I was working for was being wound up and we no longer needed to maintain either the domain or email service. 5 days before the renewal was due I also cancelled the service however I subsequently discovered that the renewal payment had already been debited. The payment was debited 7 days before the service was due to renew. I have been asking for a refund ever since and have been told I would not receive a refund, only a credit but I don't want to use CD for anything else so this is of no use. I would NEVER use this company again.

contract. Vodien is a Microsoft reseller and charged well above Microsoft's direct pricing.

The real problem was control and service. Because Vodien held the admin licence, we couldn't set up email forwarding, auto-replies or even add staff accounts without going through them — and their support was slow and unhelpful. On Microsoft's advice we eventually bought our own Microsoft 365 account. Vodien refused to help migrate our data.

In February 2026 we cancelled our account and turned off auto-renewal. Despite this, in July 2026 they charged our PayPal account more than $2500 for a renewal we never authorised, with no invoice sent. Their first "resolution" was store credit rather than a refund. We've now lodged a PayPal dispute to recover the money.

Check your billing carefully and be wary of the auto-renewal. Based on our experience, I can't recommend them.

Essentials” product that appeared in my account without my consent. Despite never signing up for it, I kept receiving renewal emails, payment attempts, and pressure to “renew now.”

When I contacted support, I was given conflicting information by multiple agents. One claimed the product had expired and wasn’t renewing, another insisted I had accepted an offer, and another told me to delete the product myself through a complicated process. No one could clearly explain why I was receiving renewal emails or why GoDaddy was attempting to debit my card.

I asked for the unwanted product to be cancelled and removed — support refused to do it and pushed me to follow a link and “delete it myself.” When I requested a refund for recent charges, I was told it was “outside policy,” even though the renewal emails made it appear the charge was related to the email service.

The entire experience felt misleading, confusing, and dismissive. I was left with a domain I paid for but no working email, and no meaningful assistance from support.

There are plenty of reputable companies out there — GoDaddy is not one of them.

Their tech support is belligerent, unprofessional and lacks any understanding of how their servers and systems work. They are more interested in trying to out-tech-talk you than solve the problem (they of course couldn't' with me as I clearly knew more about their system than they did). I have spent hours over days and weeks and months onto years, dealing with an unqualified series of "Support" staff that just don't care to solve the issues. There is no recourse to escalate the problem as well. I even searched for a Corporate Head Office phone number or email. None exist which is dubious in that alone! In all cases, the best recourse was to guide my clients to move their domains to other providers and they are so happy with that result and they don't have to pay me to resolve any issues because all of their problems went away with the new providers. That didn't stop Bluehost from continuing to bill these clients months later. Very dishonest! DO NOT SIGN UP WITH BLUEHOST!!!

I’m forced to change my work and personal numbers because Hostgator apparently sold my personal data to Asian marketing companies that harass their customers with robocalls and email nonstop. as all our passwords had magically be changed. I had to get them to reset every password and with one site, I had to get them to do this twice. Could not get an explanation from Panthur about why this happened as I was very concerned about security. I have since moved all my hosting to VentraIP who have been fantastic and prompt.
