My friend recommended this shop. Excellent service by Vicky and I had the eye test with Francis Chen who is very experienced and patient. I would recommend their professional services to anyone.

I went to 1001 to see if I could get new lenses for an old, favourite pair of sunglasses. Tanny was very friendly and helpful, showing me different options. I have been here many times and have always been pleased with the service.

This is one of the best optometrists I've visited. The customer service is second to none, the ordering and postage process is straightforward, and the product quality is excellent. I will definitely keep coming back.

Thank you Leyna for help picking out the sturdy glasses that also fit my face frame with a nice brand I thought I wouldn’t try since I’m usually always go to one brand glasses and call it a day person. And thank you Cynthia for answering my questions about lens and explain in detail and informing and as well as recommending the right transition lens and they are strong and durable especially when it’s very hot in summer and make sure they don’t fall off or get scratches easily. I may ask dumb questions here and there when I was trying to find and match lens and glasses for the frame but the end of the day it felt very good to feel reassured in 1 visit. It felt very good to speedrun this sort of thing in 1 visit when I expect it few days to do this thing.

Lou and Leyna are very helpful and accommodating when I entered their shop, I did not wait for so long and they attended me right away. I’m very happy for i thought I need to make a booking to be attended but they served me as soon as I entered their shop.

i'm a repeat customer of 1001, never had issue.. until i collected my new glasses. technician was not helpful, even when i said they are loose, she then just bent the frames...now i have to return to have them properly fitted, although i will go to another branch. she was like 'here you are.. bye"...wasnt rude but, totally unfriendly and unhelpful. the glasses are otherwise great, just a horrible experience.....

I did an order over Black Friday Sales. They processed the order and then cancelled my order. Saying an error on their website undercharged me, I need to pay an extra $200 I went back and did the same order again and still was the same price. They had not fixed the problem but seem to have leave it. Pretty much lure you in with a cheap price, then asking for more money. Such a scam for extra money!! DO NOT RECOMMEND

Poor experience with ordering online. On the 26/12/25 I ordered a pair of sunglasses which were at a great price (paid $202, currently listed on their website for $611) and following the payment my order was confirmed. thereafter informing me the item was listed below cost price and the order was cancelled and I was refunded. Moral of the story is, be aware that if you purchase an item and the price is too good to be true there is a chance the transaction will not be honoured. I looked over some previous reviews and this is not an isolated incident of a pricing error. Also for a company of this size surely communication could have been better. It wasn’t until I reached out almost 2 weeks after that I had any dialogue about the order.

I always go to the 1001 Optometry at Macquarie Centre, Macquarie Park (Sydney). Very friendly and helpful staff. When I am getting my eyes tested, they always explain everything to me so that I can understand (regardless of who is doing the testing). When I am selecting glasses, they show me a reasonable range of frames, across a wide range of pricing. Makes the selection of frames easier. I will continue going back.
