Overall sentiment regarding Automotive Superstore is divided. Many customers report positive experiences, highlighting competitive pricing, an easy-to-use website with vehicle compatibility tools, and fast delivery times. However, a significant portion of feedback points to frustrating customer service interactions, prolonged shipping delays for in-stock items, and difficulties with returns or order modifications.
Great service. The products are exactly as describedxand sorted out the issue with my aftermarket stereo. Prompt delivery and very well packed. Thanks again. I will be a 0returning customer
I purchased a $400 item online. 3-5 Business Days dispatch. Day 6, not dispatched. THEN did research here. My fault. Later on Day 6 I enquired as to what was happening and was told "there is no revised dispatch date confirmed at this stage". Day 7 no update. Anyway, it turns out advertising a 3-5 business days dispatch, not delivering, and then… Read more
claiming a "no revised date" is a breech of Australian Consumer Law. There seems to be many such cases here. So Day 8, sent them another email stating they had 24 hours to either provide a valid tracking number or process a complete refund. Or the matter would go to Consumer Affairs. No reply.
However Day 9 I get an automated email "your order has been shipped". With a tracking number. Although technically correct, as they had a valid tracking number, the item had NOT actually been shipped as it was a "label created by sender" type message. Another unanswered email followed.
Day 10 it actually did ship, arrived Day 12. So it seems once you bring up possible legal ramifications you get your item. Worth noting. Having aid that, never again. AVOID!

wanted a blow off valve/ (Dv+ adaptor blow off valve) for my w204 c250 mercedes and bought a $70 one. Didn’t even work, leaked boost and was poor quality. bought the go fast bits blow off valve adaptor and boy does it work like a charm, worth the money and quick shipping, ordered thursday night and woke up to it monday morning to start my week.
my next order was perfect and got to use the discount I received with my last order saved $50
Good description of the GME goods, ordering and payment was seamless.
Probably an order for a less common application, 2 ignition coils for my "48 Lincoln V12. It's 6 volt and to keep it reliable it now has 2 6v coils, 1 per bank of cylinders. Looking forward to a reliable start.
Sold me the wrong clutch kit. Upon purchasing, no mention that the new kit wouldn’t fit the original flywheel. Customer service in resolving this issue was disgusting, they just gave me the run around then just ghosted me. AVOID THIS COMPANY
Ordered Oil, Trans fluid, air filter oil filter. Shipping promised with in 3 days. 6 days later nothing with no time frame given after contact So I asked to cancel the order, stated a 5% fee for this disservice or store credit. Dishonest business practice.

If you’re okay with being without your money and without your product for nearly three months, Automotive Superstore (AS) might be the right choice for you.I ordered a Rhino-Rack roof rack for $1,350 on 25 November 2025. It shipped a few days later, but after ten days with no delivery I tried to get an update — only to discover there is no… Read more
dedicated order support phone line. The sales number connects to a Sydney store that refuses to discuss existing orders. Email support only. That set the tone for the entire experience. The roof rack finally arrived on 12 December 2025 in severely damaged packaging — the product itself was scratched and dented. I emailed the same day requesting a replacement. Three days of silence followed, then another three days after they said they would arrange a pick-up. I had to chase them again. On 18 December they offered a $100 discount on the damaged $1,350 item, which I declined. They eventually arranged collection on 23 December. The return reached them on 9 January 2026 (after being stuck with the courier for several days). Then — complete silence. I had to email again on 15 January to ask what was happening. Their response: they were waiting for new stock from Rhino-Rack because they had no replacement in their warehouse. No prior update, no estimated timeframe, nothing until I followed up. That “waiting for new stock from Rhino-Rack” explanation turned out to be a blatant lie. The replacement arrived on 22 January 2026 — in even worse condition than the first one (more dents and scratches). The box had clearly been opened and re-taped before, and it still had a Rhino-Rack sticker dated September. It was obviously not new stock; it appeared to be another customer damaged return that had been repackaged and sent out. I immediately requested a full refund. More delays followed: waiting for a return label, waiting for the courier (the first driver arrived in a vehicle too small to carry the rack and had to return a second time), waiting for processing. My refund was finally issued on 11 February 2026 — almost three months after the original order. Throughout this entire ordeal I received no apology, no gesture of goodwill, and no sense of urgency or accountability from their team. Every reply came days late and felt reluctant. While couriers can certainly mishandle large items, the company knows this is a risk with bulky products. The bare minimum expectation is adequate protective packaging — something that was clearly not provided here. Competitive pricing means nothing when the customer service is this poor and unreliable. I would rather pay more elsewhere and have peace of mind that, if something goes wrong, the company will actually step up and resolve it properly. This has been one of the most frustrating and drawn-out purchase experiences I’ve ever had. Avoid Automotive Superstore like the plague. You’ve been warned.
I regret buying from automotive super store PTY LTD. Automotive super store email saying we do not have stock for my order. their explanation is not acceptable. “partial cancellation fee has been applied against the original stock purchased, as this was ready for fulfilment within the expected period of 3-5 Business Days. As the initial stock was ready within the stipulated period, the cancellation would have been deemed a change of mind towards these specifically and the fee applied against our terms. “
my purchase with Automotive Superstore PTY LTD was a negative experience

terrible customer service. Which i think is AI generated.
also impossible calling them to discuss existing orders or issues.
My other orders arrived in non retail packs and they use deceptive listings. For example they list terminal block jumpers 9217BS as $1.8 - however Enerdrive only sells retail packs of 5. So when you think your buying a specific part number from the Navico group. You instead get individual pieces.
have also included photo of what you receive, which is not what Enerdrive / bluesea shows for the product. I’m not sure Enerdrive or bluesea approve their products arriving without the switch decals or original packaging.
it’s a nice touch ordering bluesea / enerdrive switches and receiving them in a knockoff chinese brand package.
Doing a search for disc brake pads, E.g. Bendix DP2533-Ult4WD & discovered Google ad referring Automotive super store selling a set at $230.99. However 'click' and go to their site, only to find it's not $230.99 but $255.95! This isn't the first time I've seen this type of misleading ad. I thought we had laws in Aust about this?

I recently purchased a K&N oil impregnated engine air filter for my petrol fuelled 2008 Subaru Liberty 2.5. My fuel economy was pretty spectacular already, achieving in excess of 35 mpg average or 12.5 kilometres to the litre or 8 litres per 100… Read more
kilometres but it was starting to fade a bit and the air filter was discoloured.
Automotive Superstore had the K&N filter version that fitted the original filter box at something over $80 compared to $10 to $15 for an after market standard filter.
While no representations were made specifically about fuel economy, claims of up to a 5% increase in power were made and fuel economy and power are related. Moreover there is no easy way for a consumer to measure power, while they can relatively easily measure fuel economy.
When I fitted the new oil impregnated filter I could not be sure if there was an increase in performance so I crunched the numbers for the prior 11 fills, as it happened, and drove the car the same way I had before doing pretty much the same trips under the same winter conditions.
Eleven fills later, I crunched the numbers and found that I had got 34 mpg (11.9 kilometres to the litre instead of 35.6. (12.45) That might not sound like much but it does add up and there’s no way you want it to be worse when you’re paying nearly 7 times the price for it.
I think 11 fills was enough to average out fill anomalies and I've just refitted my old air filter. I applied for a refund on the expensive K&N oil impregnated thing because despite the fact that you could clean it, cleaning it apparently costs about the same as buying a new cheap filter anyway.
Automotive Superstore refused the refund and told me that no claims had been made that it increased fuel economy! Maybe, but I sure don’t think it should have been worse! I had nothing to gain by being misleading about this since I was fully prepared to return the product. If I was convinced it worked, I would not want to return it.
Meanwhile, the expensive K&N thing would have cost me .5 kms for every litre used. That's about $850 over the 80,000 kms or about $210 a year more. It cost me $102.60 with tax and delivery and the new ordinary one was about $12.50. I mean who would want to keep a possible 5% increase in power (barely noticeable) over $850 in the bank?
The air filter is the only significant variable and I have now gone back to the old system so we’ll see what the next 11 fills comes up with.
I can’t understand this attitude. It’s so prevalent nowadays. Dale Carnegie who wrote the best seller book ‘How to Win Friends and Influence People’ advised that customer service was always better off giving way to the customer even if they thought they were in the wrong, which I am not, because it was simply good business practise. The way I see it is it’s a bit like a handshake between people ... the establishment of an understanding ... an acknowledgement that there will be give and take and not just take.
Businesses that don’t get this are simply badly run and they’ll be trouble to you in the long run. I’ve seen a few of these go bust, actually, and no wonder.
I might even raise the matter with Fair Trading NSW. It’s not difficult to make a complaint. I’ve done it before and like most government agencies they might take a while but they do get there in the end.
Follow-up · After taking off the K&N filter, I put on a cheap filter that cost $12 (Sakura I think) and got 12.2 kpl average for the next 11 fills, then 12.4 kpl for the next eleven after that. That's an average 12.3 kpl or 35.2 mpg. So, I'm still very close to maintaining the pre K&N average. For the next three to this date, I got 13.43 kpl or 38.4 mpg. Just… Read more

Unfortunately, despite the assurance, I have received no meaningful update or resolution. As of 9th August, more than 2.5 weeks later, I am still waiting for an update, and my order has not been shipped.
Communication is only available through support emails/tickets, and I have also received an automated email saying they will close my support ticket since they have not heard from me for several days, even though I am the one waiting for the matter to be resolved.
A simple order correction requested on the same day the order was placed should not take this long—very disappointing customer service.

Had a major shipping issue with my order at the start. After reporting, Peter rang me up, discussed what happened and he went above and beyond and got everything fixed up and shipped all parts extremely fast. Thank you Peter for sorting everything out, I really appreciate it.
I initially left a negative review after receiving a faulty part and experiencing a delay while waiting for information regarding the warranty process. Since then, Automotive Superstore has personally contacted me, taken ownership of the situation(outside of their fault) and organised for the issue to be handled as a priority with replacement. really appreciate them taking the time to reach out and work towards resolving the matter.
This has restored my confidence in the company, and I’m grateful for the way they have handled things since my review. I hope to shop with Automotive Superstore again in the future.
A few hiccups with parts delayed, after an absolute nightmare with Rolan parts I was stressed that it was going to take 3 weeks again as my car has been off the road for a month. But Peter contacted me and sorted everything out, parts rocked up today and stoked with the last bit of service at Automotive Superstore.

Only giving one star as i cant give zero. Purchased shock absorbers which arrived incomplete. took 3 weeks for them to organise a return after politely requesting they just send the missing items from another item. Returned and have had zero response to multiple requests for updates. Challenged on Paypal and now request for refund via Paypal refused. Thanks Automotive Superstore, you thieves. DONOT USE THIS COMPANY
Have ordered a clutch kit which included an incorrect friction disc. despite countless messages , SMS and phone calls over the last 4 days, no response. Why can't I talk to sales person direcrly? Service is NON-EXISTENT.
Ordered brake parts 6 July based on competitive pricing and 3 to5 business days delivery. Now 6 August and parts not dispatched due to not having pads in stock. Communication with company kept promising that delay due to warehouse moving and that parts would be in stock in the next week and then priority dispatched. Terrible service, would never deal with this business again.

Great service and good price on products I needed. Only downside is that I couldn't complete the order on Brave browser due to the check out process not working properly with the fields to fill in my details, so I had to complete the purchase on Chrome instead.

I am very disappointed with my experience with Automotive Superstore. I originally placed an order, but after a long wait with no updates, I decided to cancel it. The parts and products at Automotive Superstore are good and priced fairly. Searching for certain items on the online store is easy, and being able to input my car's make and model into the site makes finding what I'm looking for easy. (Sadly, my model of car is difficult to find parts for, but the site still has some parts that fit.) I'll give it 5 stars, but if they had more compatible parts for a 1993 Ford Capri, they would be 6-star worthy.
Absolute trash company to deal with, freight was late, product was faulty and when questioned about a warranty on the product I was told minimum 6 upto 8 weeks for turnaround...no good when your a sole trader
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Automotive Superstore and will not be shopping with them again. After placing my order, I immediately received an order confirmation email. dispatched that day.
A week later, there was still no dispatch notification or tracking information. I sent another email, my husband (whose card was used for the purchase) also emailed, and we received no response. I then tried calling, only to discover there is no phone support for existing orders—you can only contact them via email or SMS.
I reached out again through both channels. Eventually, I received an email stating that my order didn't exist, and after that, complete silence. I also received an SMS asking for my order number, which I provided immediately, but again received no further response.
At that point, I was preparing to lodge a complaint with the ACCC because my payment had been taken and no goods had been supplied.
On the tenth day, [Name Removed] finally responded and advised that the part I'd ordered actually needed to be ordered in. This completely contradicted everything I'd previously been told. After being assured my order was being dispatched, then being told it didn't exist, followed by days of being ignored and receiving vague, misleading responses, I had completely lost confidence in the company.
I asked [Name Removed] to cancel the order, and to his credit, he processed the cancellation promptly. We have received confirmation of the refund and are now waiting for the funds to be returned.
This has been the worst online shopping experience I've ever had. The lack of communication, inaccurate information, and poor customer service were incredibly frustrating. I cannot recommend Automotive Superstore based on my experience.

Absolutely terrible. Contacted them seeking to purchase wheel nuts for my car. Initially received emails from Guy who sought my VIN number. He replied saying the VIN was incorrect. I took a photo of the VIN and emailed it back along with all vehicle identification plates and had no reply. I contacted them AGAIN and still nothing. Their customer service is appalling.
