Beaumont were so slow to respond and then their inspector did what all incompetent, avoidant companies do- they denied any responsibility; blaming me for some sort of leak or liquid spillage in my house that never happened. I informed the inspector that I haven’t even had a chance to mop the floors because I hadn’t even fully moved in. This company will do anything to get out of attending to their responsibilities around their defective products and/or installations and will just blame you for something you didn’t do. I’m now having to report them to Consumer Affairs after submitting a complaint; Im definitely not accepting my warped floorboards in my brand new home. Beaumont demonstrate no care or diligence whatsoever towards their customers.

without being clearly explained as separate chargeable components during the consultation.

This included confusion around the full-height tiling in the ensuite WC area compared to the approved plans, as well as additional upgrade items such as grout selections which were not clearly disclosed as extra costs at the time.

When I raised these issues, the response I received focused on charging a $400 administration fee to amend the selections, rather than addressing whether the items had been correctly explained and recorded in the first place.

In my view, the process lacked transparency in clearly distinguishing between standard inclusions and upgrade costs. This led to unnecessary confusion and follow-up disputes after the appointment.

Additionally, We had our selections appointment for our build and overall the process around the tiling selections felt unclear and not well managed from a customer perspective.

The tile selections were completed as the first stage of our appointment, however at that point the full scope of the kitchen design had not yet been finalised. As a result, it was not possible to fully understand the overall quantities and coordination between different areas at the time of selection.

When I later needed to revisit or adjust part of the selections after receiving updated information, I was advised that a $400 administration fee would apply, as it would require reopening an appointment and being treated as an additional selection session.

From a customer experience perspective, this felt unreasonable given that the overall design scope (such as kitchen planning) was still evolving at the time the initial selections were made.

It would have been much clearer if the process upfront explained how timing between different design stages affects selections, and when additional fees may apply, rather than raising this only at the point of adjustment.

Overall, the experience felt more transactional than supportive, and lacked flexibility given the staged nature of a new build process.

Beaumonts offer no assistance to consumers caught in this dilemma. They do not stock all items that they display and sell so they wash their hands of any responsibility to help. Also, be aware if you think you can onsell these items, they may not covered by warranty. So be cautious with your purchases or you could be landed with an unexpected surplus to need scenario. I would suggest you buy any "Special Order" items: tiles, tapware, basins directly from the supplier and negotiate a right of return if you absolutely have to have what you see in the showroom. Or that you prepare yourself for a delay in purchasing these items until after your tradies have consulted TOGETHER, in the space to make sure what can and cannot be done. Each trade does ots plan and quote but sometimes in woeking together they identify unexpected issues. Also, there is a high level of silica in some of the tiles I purchased (20%) but there was no verbal or written warning prior to purchase. Be aware.

These guys were amazing. Aidan talked us through all the options as we were tile buying novices. They were fantastic when I had a 3am epiphany that I hated the colour. Fantastic customer service – I wanted to buy a box of white tiles that were being discontinued. I went to my Beaumont Tiles store at Enogerra and found they had no stock. I have just picked up the tiles and been helped by a lovely man (who carried the tile box out to my car) and another helpful lady. The service I have been provided with his excellent as I have the product that I wanted with very little worry on my behalf. Thank youto the customer focused staff at your Wollongabba store. needed help. We spent over 10 minutes walking around and were completely ignored—no greeting, no offer of assistance, not even a goodbye as we left.

As a result, we walked out and drove five minutes down the road to National Tiles, where we had a completely different experience. A staff member approached us straight away, helped us choose the right tiles, and assisted us in placing an order worth $5,000.

Customer service makes all the difference, and unfortunately Beaumont Tiles fell well short.

The next tile place we went to only had 1 box and we needed 3 and they were happy the get the other 2 boxes in for us at NO CHARGE

never deal with them again. Six months after our initial dealing there has been no letter of apology, no phone call and $100 refund for overpayment still owing.

I’ve been deliberating over tiles, benchtops etc for my bathroom and kitchen renovations for ages and couldn’t seem to decide what to do. Needed 2 sheets of mosaic black tiles and tried to order them as a click and collect but only had a delivery option. Cost of delivery for 2 30cm sheets was $100. Rang the city store an was told they didn't have them but I could order them online. Asked for another option of similar tiles and he told me he didn't know and I should go to Bunnings. Bad news from Beaumont – When ordered our tiles Beaumont told us they were in stock in Medbourne and would be delivered to Adelaide in a week. It actually took a month to get them. They were not in Australia and we had to wait for a container to arrive by Sea Freight. This meant we had no kitchen in our house for 6 weeks. Not happy with Beaumont at all. Show details

because we wanted to have it "professionally" installed, but it seems that's not the case with them. I recommend buying the flooring from them but hiring a separate, reputable installer. The installation service is too costly for the quality you receive.

Incompetent, unreliable, lack of ownership and lack of response – Avoid Beaumont Tiles if you value your time and money. The only thing worse than the experience itself, is the lack of ownership. they didn’t for any of the 6 bathrooms. When I attempted to discuss this with Beaumont’s before the job progressed any further, no follow up. Almost 4 weeks later, a phone call with an apology but no willingness to resolve or compromise in any way. Appalling experience and service and never again.

Beaumont Tiles, Springwood - One star – I went to return 3 packages of unused and opened tiles. manager was called and instead of assisting us tried to find reasons to not issue a refund. He explained, we were informed of the return process. We weren't! Then there's a handling fee of 25%, unbelievable and we have to take them to their warehouse. All we were told, is we can return any unused tiles (as we were told by the salesperson to purchase the required tiles plus 10%). We ended up getting a refund but only because I stood my ground.

Multiple Falls due to inappropriate bathroom tiles recommended by Beaumont Staff – We renovated our bathroom, with the assistance of Andrew from Beaumont Tiles ( sales consultant from the West Ryde store). daughter have all sustained falls in the bathroom as result of water on the tiles. Over the past 2 years, I have held my child while showering to ensure she does not fall again.

I have been told by staff at the West Ryde branch and by a regional manager that the tiles have passed appropriate standards. If that this is the case, the standards clearly need to be altered or reviewed.

In additional, the staff appear quite surprised when I tell them of my situation, stating that this is the first time that they have heard of this happening before.

As a health professional, who has seen multiple people break hips and even deaths as a result of falls in the bathroom, I feel it is my duty to express my concerns of the slip standards of the tiles and how sales consultant articulate this to customers.

So far, I have received a thank you for my feedback and please call our head office. This is extremely inadequate. We will need to retile our bathroom in order to prevent more falls.

In conclusion, I am extremely concerned other people have had similar inappropriate tiles installed in wet areas under the influence of inaccurate advice. I am very worried others will incur falls and injuries as a result of this. I need people to take note of this and to be very cautious.

Awful to clean Microtec tiles – Thank you to everybody who has reached out to me regarding the appalling and mis-selling of Microtec tiles. Went in to the Grote St store, ordered and paid for the tiles (as per their policy prior to finalising the order). told, the tiles are still two weeks away and that the person who placed the order is on leave (fail to see the relevance). Assured that they would call back with an update as to what was going on. Three additional calls later (from us to them) the two week delivery is nearly 7 weeks! Happy to take your cash, not happy to deliver the product. Will not use them ever again, would strongly encourage you to consider all other reasonable (and probably unreasonable) options.

If you don't get the order right be prepared for lots of delivery and return charges – Tiles are good but they catch you out on delivery and return charges. I ordered 2 boxes for a small job but it turned out I only needed one. They would have charged me more to return that box to the warehouse than the tiles were worth. Show details

Microtec tiles – I wish there had been the reviews on Microtec tiles when I purchased them. I bought Microtec because they are non slip and I have a child with a disability who was constantly slipping over on our previous tiles. just sticks to them and they end up looking a disgusting brown. I vacuum twice a day, followed all instructions re cleaners - lithofin cement residue remover after installation, lithofin intensive cleaner when the tiles are very dirty and lithofin vitraclean twice a week. They are still gross. I even bought a commercial tile scrubber to get them clean….. didn’t work. These tiles are just not suitable for use anywhere. They. Do. Not. Clean. They look beautiful on the showroom wall, but you will regret it if you buy them for your house.
