clip. I was not satisfied with that, on the site I had 'apparently' ordered everything for the job. The company bullied me and was very rude. I had to get a bracket made to finish the job because I did not want to support this business any further. The the system is cheap and bad quality. Probably Temu product re branded. It is slow and the antenna does not pick up signal. This is a shonky business, don't waste your time or money.

then paid $100 for a professional installation, with a well known and reputable business who regularly installs these units. Unfortunately, the factory buttons, steering wheel controls, reversing camera and other factory integration features did not work.

The professional installer provided a written report confirming that the unit had been configured for the CX-5, the available CX-5 CANBUS configurations had been tested, and that the issue appeared to be with the supplied interface/control module or its configuration rather than the installation.

I contacted CJ Industries and provided them with the installer's written findings. Communication was slow and I had to follow up multiple times before receiving a return postage label.

CJ Industries ultimately refunded the full purchase price of the head unit, which I appreciate. However, they have refused to reimburse the $100 professional installation/removal cost, stating that their policies don't cover third-party installation costs, even though under Australian Consumer Law I would be entitled to a refund of this cost.

My frustration is that I specifically asked CJ Industries about compatibility when purchasing, and relied on their written assurance that the factory controls would work. Had I been told otherwise, I obviously would not have purchased the unit and paid $100 to have it professionally installed.

The unit was ultimately returned and fully refunded, but I am still out of pocket $100 because I relied on the information provided by CJ Industries before making the purchase.

Overall, while I appreciate that the purchase price was eventually refunded, the product did not perform as I was assured it would, and the handling of the resulting installation cost was disappointing.

I would recommend getting any compatibility claims confirmed in writing before purchasing and considering the potential installation costs if the unit doesn't work as promised.

the steering controls and volume knob. After spending 1 hour trying different CAN settings in the chinglish advanced settings, I finally found one that kinda works. Steering controls work. But all the buttons above the AC controls are incorrectly mapped, basically backwards. Add to this the volume knob glitches and takes a few seconds to change up/down. A flick of the knob doesn't work, it just increases by 2 numbers. Sometimes a flick upwards glitches it and it decreases the volume, continually, until it's off, lol. It's definitely not 20w RMS per channel. It can barely power the stock door speakers. Max volume, albeit no distortion, I can talk over no problems. Android auto barley works. The EQ and DSP is good. The USB output for connecting phone outputs barely enough current to actually charge your phone. Their manual and QR codes are helpful, but its all a bit rushed together as they fix issues with the units.

a month for the kit to arrive. The kit was made for a previous model headunit installed in the middle of the dash. Mine had only the screen in the dash and the unit itself at the top of the glove box. The wiring sent was not the (complete) proper set and after contacting CJ they agreed to send an extension for the VW quad connector behind the glove box and for the FM antenna cable. The quad extension cable was hard to get to the position it needed to go but eventually I got it there including FM antenna extension.

The rest of the cabling job was plug and play and the unit came to life as soon as all was connected. I was scared that the vents that I gently cut from the old facia (melt 'rivet' connection) with a sharp Stanley knife would sit loose behind the new facia but that was not the case. They sit tight as soon as the new facia is clicked into place.

The unit works well with the original reverse camera. The selected VW had to be the Golf Sportsvan to let the instrument cluster work properly with the headunit (no Crafter can be selected). That causes the showed vehicle to be a bit strange but after setting everything properly it show the 2 side doors and the rear door when opened. For the proper vehicle shown and all doors, I rely on the little instrument panel display to show all doors like before the headunit was replaced (I hardly ever had the oem headunit on that particular display).

Bummer was that my Vgate obd2 dongle could not be paired with headunit whatever I tried. In the end I bought their obd2 dongle to let obd2 apps run on the headunit and connect to the car via Bluetooth. I use the wifi to connect the headunit to starlink so wifi obd was no option.

Another problem is that Wikicamps, to find Australian campsites, constantly crashes with Android 13. All the other apps work properly like eg Memory Map (that I use a lot with Topo and Hema maps) and FB messenger. I made a seperate Google play account for the Crafter and FB messenger account for safety (eg when the van is serviced) to send the Wikicamps coordinates to and that works fine. Camps Australia does work on this headunit but has less selection of camps and other type of sites. Google maps works in a small icon to give me directions if I drive on a Memory Map Topo on screen for the broader picture.

All and all I am happy with the purchase and the priceless support given (although sometimes a bit slow) by CJ to get everything working properly. I therefore recommend buying from CJ and paying more for their knowledge. Still way cheaper than knowledge supported competition!

ps. In my particular case the through OBDeleven activated hidden compass in the instrument (little) display works properly now. It was visible but didn't work with the oem VW headunit.

Very happy with the unit, big upgrade for my RAM which standard comes with a tiny UConnect screen and system. Installation was plug and play, great instruuctions available online, only issue I had initially was the factory reverse camera did not work, but it was easily fixed via the online help articles and just had to change the input signal… Read more

Arrived 7 days after ordering. All the cables and the unit itself seem very high quality. Very easy to install. They have vehicle specific instructions which is awesome. in my 2018 Kia carnival. Wireless CarPlay is instant and quick. Screen quality and resolution is really good. So impressive. Transformed my car from its factory relic of a radio to something extremely modern.

Ordered a reversing camera. Emailed them to confirm specs of the camera, which, they replied promptly. I wasn't able to fit it to my car and have emailed three times to hear nothing back about a refund. They're happy to take your money...

Unit is ok but not great quality. Purchased the $40 camera retention cable, and my dad who is a qualified electrician confirmed it did not work upon multiple attempts. Used the same cable from a different provider and it worked perfectly straight away. Customer service refused to accept the cable back or refund because they “can’t resell it”.

arrive. They blamed the courier and took NO responsibility. We have asked for a refund and/or new unit but as of today they are still trying to avoid doing either of those. While they have at least communicated with us - this is appalling. I feel like they are waiting until the warranty has expired BUT it has NEVER worked. If things are rectified I am prepared to change my review but at this point I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Fitted the unit as per instructions and after a little adjustment with the steering wheel buttons the units worked great. The reversing camera is very clear and works perfectly, it automatically mutes the sounds whilst in reverse mode which is a nice touch. Totally happy with it and it looks great.

Got the 6g ram, had a few issues with the radio but their team helped with some settings and now no issues. Was also able to run memory maps so able to have offline 4wd maps ready to go

Delivered fast and found the manual very in depth and easy to follow, the team were prompt to reply and assist me with my few questions. Works fast, it sounds even better than the old unit did, and i didnt loose my factory functions. Highly reccomend
