We are so happy with our purchase of the wool winter quilt from Eco Down Under. First of all, receiving a product that is proudly Made in Australia made us even happier, as we love supporting local businesses. We also appreciate that it is made from natural fibres that are ethically sourced. Knowing that the product is environmentally friendly… Read more
and will have minimal impact on the earth at the end of its life gives us great peace of mind.
Most importantly, the quilt performs exactly as promised. It is breathable, provides just the right amount of warmth, and distributes heat evenly without causing overheating during the night.
We are truly grateful for this wonderful product. Our winter has been so much more comfortable thanks to this quilt.
These cold nights I slip between my wonderful cotton sheets, on top of my wool mattress topper and under my cotton blankets. Result: I never want to get out of bed again. Show details · 1
I ordered a sheet set and unfortunately the auto populate on the address used an old address. I immediately, within 1 minute of placing the order, emailed Ecodownunder service department and asked that the address be changed to the new address. I did not hear back from Ecodownunder. I sent several emails over the next 24 hours but absolutely no… Read more
response. I now have an email from the courier saying the item has been picked up and I note that the address has not been changed. I rang the courier but they won't change the address unless Ecodownunder instruct them to do so. It looks like I won't get my sheets unless the person at my old address goes to the trouble of returning to sender. Not impressed with customer service of this company and there is no way to call them as there is no phone number provided.
NOTE - after sending another email indicating I would not be a repeat customer and would post a negative review Ecodownunder service department responded and they have now changed my address. It's just a shame it took so many emails. They claim to address all enquiries within 2 business days but this is really not good enough for an online business with no phone number. Urgent issues such as mine which are time sensitive for delivery should be addressed quickly. So, depending on how happy I am with the quality of the product I may purchase from them again.
Love the linens sheet set, a repeat purchase. Happy to recommend Ecodownunder Show reply
I highly recommend the signature sheets, feather duvets, towels and pillows. Our holiday rental cottage is fully equiped with these well priced and high quality products. Guests often comment on our linen, which is all purchased from Ecodownunder. I enjoy shopping at Ecodownunder as their friendly and knowledgeable staff always go the extra mile to satisfy their customers. Show details · 1
Most durable & soft sheeting & towels. Great customer service too, after trying most other brands I keep coming back. Their hemp sheeting is much better than any linen i've tried. Show details · 1
Follow-up · Hemp is so much softer than linen, better hand feel. I’ve tried linen from Sheridan, Bed Threads, Adairs and a few other high end ones - all the linen you can buy in Australia is thin/lightweight wears through quickly. A very low thread count. Macey & Moore used to stock the most divine proper heavy weight linen but they don’t sell it anymore as they say the cost to produce has increased.
Disappointing- The fabric of the sheets is lovely, but despite only ever washing in cold water and never using the drier the sheets have shrunk. The fitted sheet is about 100mm short now, so will not fit in the mattress. ( 50 cm deep wall). I have had to purchase a separate fitted sheet in another brand, defeating the purpose of having a sheet… Read more
set. The discarded fitted sheet will have to be cut down to cover a blow up mattress for visiting children to use.
We bought a waffle bath/spa robe recently from Ecodownunder online shop. AMAZING quality of the material!! and very fast delivery. Thank you so much! :) Show reply
Poor quality - I had used the sheets only three times. When fitting the sheet on the bed the corner seam completely gave way. I purchased the sheet set over in June 2023 but had only just opened it and used it. When I explained this to Ecodownunder they simply stated the product was purchased too long ago and offered only a reduced price to… Read more
purchase a new sheet . I am unimpressed that they don’t believe their customers, I sent them a photo of the tear you could easily see the sheet looked pretty new. I am unimpressed they don’t stand by the quality standards of the products they sell. I won’t be buying from them again (not even at a reduced price !)
poor quality – Purchased 3 fitted queen linen sheets in Feb 2022. today one has worn the extent that it is tearing. These sheets are rotated regularly with 6 other cotton sheets + the fit for a standard queen bed is too small . so they bunch up after one night.
Fabulous quality! – I purchased a sheet set from Eco Down Under, and they are exceptional quality! My partner has stated that he is enjoying the bed and sleeping more because of the sheets. They are very well made and I can see that they will last for years - if not over a decade! Extremely happy with my purchase. Thanks so much, EcoDownUnder! Show details · 3
Quality products and a clear conscience! – This Aussie owned business is great to deal with. I have bought sheet sets and gifts from them for many years. They sell environmentally sustainable products which are first rate, not overpriced and delivered promptly. What more could anyone ask?! Love them! Show details · 1

My Go to shop for all things like sheets and towels – Ecodownunder have the most fabulous linen sheets and recently I bought a linen shirt and shorts set. The linen is so soft and washes brilliantly , no shrinkage at all. I’m always searching for the perfect linen shirt and now I’ve found it . Show details · 1
Terrible Quality Sheets – I bought a double-bed cotton sheet set 14 months ago. We only use these sheets in summer (rotating with another set), so they have seen less than 6 months of use. They have pilled, there are worn patchs and they have started to tear apart. I have 20 year-old sheets in better condition. I am really appalled that brand-new cotton sheets should fail after such a short time. I won't be shopping here again.
What is that smell? – THE towels, hand towels, bath mat and facewashers I bought are the perfect colour, look nice and the company reflects the values I would like for the earth .... however, they have a smell so strong that TEN washes can't remove. I have washed them in cold water with regular detergent, hot water with vinegar, hot water with bicarb of soda, soaked… Read more
them overnight with laundry soaker x 2 .... and they still have a bad smell.
Also, after EACH wash a handful of lint was in the lint filter suggesting a poor quality.
For those of you who are sensitive to smells ..... not recommended!
I, of course can't be sure that the other towels are like this, I'm just commenting on what I received.
The company refuse to acknowledge there is a problem, so I'll just donate them to a pet shelter or something similar.
I have since bought towels from Sheridan and VUE from Myer and they are perfectly OK.
Absolutely appauling experience dealing with Ecodownunder – I purchased a cotton summer quilt 275GSM from Ecodownunder online store. The website stated the quilt contains "no harsh chemicals". When I received the quilt, it was packed in a Ecodownunder branded satchel, no box or sealed packaging (questionable), no Oeko-Tex or GOTS labels, just the label from the manufacturer, Night Sky. I emailed the EDU… Read more
team to send me proof of any certifications to substantiate the claim this quilt was chemical free. GOTS and Oeko-Tex are the standard. I called a few of their stores to get more information about the quilt and the answers I received were inconsistent and uneducated. I also emailed the head office, and once I started to question the quality of this quilt I was instantly ignored. I also tried to contact them on social media and they blocked me from contacting them. Finally, I had a call from a man from ecodownunder who was incredibly abusive to me and when I questioned him on providing evidence of any certifications (Oeko & GOTS) he replied in an abusive tone - "it's a $100 quilt mate" and that he's sold hundreds of these quilts with out any issues. They had no trouble selling me the quilt but when it came to backing up their claims they were unable to do so. Our household goes to great lengths to maintain a chemical / pesticide free household so I am absolutely appalled by this company and their methods. For a company that markets themselves as eco-conscious, they are extremely unethical. Since writing this review, EDU have updated their website to show an Oeko-Tex logo (which is barely legible) on the product page and removed the statement "no harsh chemicals". They still can't provide proof of Oeko-Tek certification. Be warned, if you are looking for customer service, this is NOT the place. Save your money, do the research and buy elsewhere.
