I later audited the official trade supplier docket they used, which showed the actual material costs were just under $2,945 AUD. Jetset was charging over $2,350 AUD in labor alone for a routine 4-hour changeout—double the market standard on the Gold Coast.
To make matters worse, after stripping out our plumbing on Saturday, their electrician canceled. Jetset abandoned our family, leaving us completely stranded without any hot water for the kids across the entire weekend, yet they still refused to fairly adjust their heavily marked-up invoice. They dropped the cost to $5000, and said because of the electrician had an emergency, they will not charge for this Monday. So I had to pay over $2,000 for labour on a 4 hour job. ($500/hour).
The tradespeople on-site did neat work, but the corporate office's pricing practices and lack of care for a stranded family are unacceptable. If you are in an emergency, do your wallet a favor—call an independent local plumber instead.
I would not use Jetset Plumbing again based on our experience. We agreed to a quoted price for a stormwater job. The plumber on site effectively gave us two options: agree to pay the additional amount, or they would stop work and leave. We could not accept this. If the quoted price could be increased on day one without any change in scope, we had no confidence that we would not be asked for more money again on day two, day three, or later in the job. We therefore did not agree to the additional payment, and Jetset chose to stop the work and leave.
What was particularly disappointing was how this was later characterised by their Operations Manager. We were told that we had “called the job off”. In our view, that does not accurately reflect what happened. We had engaged Jetset to complete the agreed scope for the agreed quoted price. We did not ask them to stop the original job. They advised that they would not continue unless we agreed to pay an additional variation amount, and when we declined, they decided to leave.
By that stage, they had already cut existing stormwater pipes and excavated significant areas of our garden. We had previously been told that they would “leave it better than it was” when the work was completed. Instead, the job was left unfinished, with disconnected pipework, open excavation and what was effectively a construction site in our garden.
On the same visit, we were also told that a stormwater pipe beneath our driveway was likely squashed and required an urgent repair costing approximately $10,000–$15,000. The explanation given was that they had run water for around 4–5 minutes and could not see water reaching the outlet.
We had tested the drain ourselves before Jetset arrived and saw water reaching the outlet within approximately 1–2 minutes, so we decided not to approve that additional work. We subsequently had other plumbers inspect the drainage and were advised that the proposed repair was not necessary.
Overall, these experiences seriously affected our confidence in both the advice and pricing we received. Being asked for additional money after only one day, despite no change to the agreed scope, and then having the circumstances of the job ending described differently afterwards was particularly concerning.
Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend obtaining an independent second opinion before approving any significant additional work, and making sure the quoted price, scope of work and circumstances in which variations can be charged are clearly documented before work begins.
Keith came out early on a Sunday morning to fix a clogged toilet and found a huge tree root blockage in our pipes. He sorted it out, cleaned up the mess and kept me and my tenants well informed along the way. Highly recommended! Thanks Keith!! Show reply

inspection that I never received footage or a report for, and pre-charged me for a second visit by a "senior" re-liner that never happened, BEFORE they even looked at my pipes. On 13/08/26, I had an independent licensed plumber conduct a thorough CCTV inspection in my presence. They confirmed my pipes are 100% structurally fine and intact. Furthermore, they found that Jetset had performed unauthorized and non-compliant works that actively compromised my drains by dropping a piece of cast iron in the drains that they had cut out from the toilet stack. Avoid this company at all costs. I have formal complaints lodged with the QBCC and about to lodge another with the Office of Fair Trading. Fortunately because Jetset has refused a refund, the $1845.00 that was charged to my credit card can be claimed back under Merchant Fraud. Save yourself the legal work and don't use them. Jetset's has cost myself so far $3,445.00 from my savings for a single/simple toilet blockage !!! I also believe the blockage was cleared by heavy flushing prior to being quoted the camera and jet clearing.

made everything easy to understand. They were able to start the job within a few days.
I'm especially happy with the install of the new system by Andrew, Will and Dan, which looks great considering the tight space they had to work with.
Andrew also completed some complimentary inspections and minor works which I'm very happy with and appreciative of.
My only complaint would be that during the initial inspection, and during a call later on to the office a day or so later, no one could provide me with an estimated cost for a replacement system. I would have appreciated the opportunity to know beforehand, rather then finding out on the day of installation (which was originally booked for repair, despite me trying to ascertain a cost for replacement).
Overall I am extremely happy with the work. Jetset has also sent me a gift and a hand written card in the mail since the work was done, which is a nice touch.

Follow-up · The most challenging plumbing done at my home was renewing a leaking storm water drain internally without having to rip up the deck. Most impressive. It took a whole day but was worth it entirely. All services provided by the plumbers sent have been excellent.

I am writing this review now, because I have had professional insight to compare - by another plumber. I have had to get a new plumber to fix the same problem that Jetset plumbing were called out to do. End of last year while filling our under mount sink it popped and dropped. Our home builder had not put under sink mounts on to keep this from happening. Lovely tap ware (Grohe). Took a picture behind the sink. Mentioned needed to replace the tap, he’d need two visits to fix the sink, and of course replace the centre part of the sink as well (which admittedly was dirty but not a reason to replace) I asked if he could give a price with and without the tap. When he returned he showed me the quote of $930 and three cheap taps he had available in his van. I asked if he could remove the tap how much would it be, he said that was for the tap only! The price for the sink (to reattach, not a new sink and no stone cutting) would be $2379.20. I quickly ushered him out where he asked how much would I pay. After explaining to him what my expectation was and his quote so far apart I wouldn’t insult him. He then took $200 off. Still sent him out. I rang the office to ask for a breakdown of the quote which they refused to give as they said this was a fixed price. If they had to spend more hours then there was no extra cost. However I would not have known what hours they charged for. I also highlighted something must have been calculated, as a fixed cost for me is $2200 or $1500 not $2379.20. They told me I had a program of work. However no cost of labour, parts anything. So clearly the quote had not been based on work to carry out but how much they thought I could afford. I had another plumber and a kitchen fitter give quotes for the same job $550 and $460. So can’t imagine which quotes are realistic. Jetset don’t give breakdowns as they would have to show their markup their plumbers put on as they rely on the sales part of their job. How many people pay without questioning or getting other quotes? My advice is if you think Jetsets quotes are excessive shop around and guarantee you’ll find others at least 50-60% cheaper. Final note, Jetset plumbing said they contacted the plumber to find out about what had happened but what was hilarious the plumber contacted me a week later and asked if I wanted to carry out the worked based on the original quote. Either the plumber was tin deaf or the office didn’t contact him as mentioned.
